Chapter 707: Chapter 299: Private Chef

Celestia rolled her eyes. How could she miss such an interesting place? She hadn’t been there yet. But since Estella was around, she put up a brave front, "If it’s not tasty, I’m still going to eat it."

Estella just smiled and followed her in.

Upon entering, they changed their shoes. "Ma Liu, we’ve got guests, do we have enough food at home?"

"How many guests?" Ma Liu poked his head out of the kitchen.

"Two. Old friends of Hedan’s."

"Got it, I was just thinking I bought a bit too much food today." Ma Liu replied. He needed to test the recipes, so he always bought a lot, more than Li Xin could actually eat.

Celestia and Estella entered the house too, immediately feeling warmer. They hung their clothes, and Celestia looked around the small room, "You live here? It’s kind of small."

"It’s not that small. Oh, by the way, how did you come out from opposite?"

"I had someone buy it in advance. I’m not here for fun this time; I have important matters. It’s not convenient for Ella to follow, so I temporarily entrusted her here. You better take good care of her." Celestia said.

Li Xin chuckled and nodded, "Are you used to living here?"

"Very much, Dragon Capital is quite unique." Estella nodded.

Good?

Goodness, the place was wet and cold, but Celestia was planning to sort out the George Chamber of Commerce, pushing it along, so she had someone buy the house opposite in advance and renovated it. Although the George Chamber of Commerce had been through many ups and downs, there were still a few confidants, and placed them on Li Xin’s side. With the prince’s secret guards, she felt more at ease.

"I say, Li Xin, shouldn’t we eat out? What could be eaten at home?" Celestia looked a bit speechless at the busy figure in the kitchen. This guy, really? For a noble Princess, can’t he put in some effort? Does he really plan to win over the Princess with homemade dishes?

Li Xin chuckled, "Home is truly better than outside."

Celestia widened her eyes, looking at Li Xin as if he was a fool, seemingly saying, Brother, are you really that stupid? Can’t you see this young lady is helping you pick up girls? She thought Simmons was the dumbest she had met, but now realized they’re in the same league.

"Double... Li... Captain, busy lately?" Estella asked.

"What Captain Li, don’t act distant just because I’m here." Celestia laughed, "Or should I leave?"

Li Xin and Estella exchanged a smile. It was a bit inconvenient with Celestia here.

In that three-second glance shared between them, Celestia’s defenses completely broke, "Fine, fine, the two of you doing this, it’s like I’m the outsider. Humph! Even if so, I’m not leaving!"

"How could you be, you’re my good friend."

"Yes, yes, there’s no reason to kick out a guest, just make do and eat a bit." Li Xin said helplessly.

Celestia was so frustrated she gritted her teeth, "Li Xin, you just wait, you’ll see how I’ll get you back later," she said and poured herself a pot of hot tea to calm down.

Right after the first sip, her expression shifted.

"What is this?" Celestia was surprised, looking at the tea cup in her hand, "Ella, have a taste."

"See, I nearly forgot, have some tea to warm up." Li Xin hurriedly poured a cup for Estella.

"It smells good." Estella also remarked in surprise, "Thank you."

Lifting the cup for a sip, her big eyes brightened instantly, "What kind of tea is this, how is it so delicious, with a warm energy, making me feel all comfortable."

"Ma Liu, what tea is this again?" Li Xin called out towards the kitchen.

"Hot tea." Ma Liu stuck his head out and said, then went back to his work.

Celestia poured herself another cup and drank it all in one gulp, her eyes gleaming, feeling completely at ease, "This is called hot tea, whatever, this is the best I’ve ever had."

"Seems like it’s using a tea base blessed by the Fiery Sun Church, it has a warming effect." Estella commented.

Li Xin gave a thumbs-up, "As expected of Bai... Ella, unlike some people."

"Hey, hey, we’re not cold there, we don’t need this kind of tea, hmph." Saying that, Celestia wanted more to drink.

"Drink less and save room for food, don’t waste the delicious dishes."

"You’re not worried I’ll drink it all, right?" Celestia didn’t believe him, "I don’t care, later I’m packing some to take back, Dragon Capital is just too cold."

"Alright, I’ll have Ma Liu prepare a pack for you."

"Such a scrooge."

Just then, Ma Liu started serving the dishes: carefully crafted cold appetizers, even preparing a special portion for Chris and Keli.

Since entering, Chris took over the highest perch in the room, posing like a superior bird, while Keli nestled docilely in Estella’s arms, unmoving, only opening her eyes upon hearing about food.

Seeing these delightful dishes, Celestia put away her dismissiveness, "Oh, not bad, the presentation shows some skill."

"Come, try it, homemade dishes." Li Xin didn’t care about the rest, after a day of work he was starving; a full meal is truly life’s pleasure, "Ella, don’t be formal, there are no rules here, just dig in."

"Who would be formal with you, I’m telling you, if it’s bad I’ll still..." But after one bite, Celestia instantly shut up, looked at Li Xin, then turned her head to glance at the person in the kitchen, "What is this?!"

"I don’t know either, as long as it tastes good." Li Xin wouldn’t be polite to them, he started eating heartily.

Chris had long started indulging; it recognized quality, and it had previously tasted the Gourmet Association’s delicacies, though that was ages ago. Keli ate happily, even wiggling its little bum to express its feelings.

Beside them, Estella also ate quickly yet gracefully, even for her, such food was not something she could often have.

Just one bite could reveal the chef’s skill level.

"Oh my, you two, leave some for me!" Celestia exclaimed urgently, it was truly delicious, "Li Xin, stop eating."

"What is this, my god, it melts in your mouth, delicious, delicious!" Celestia was more and more in awe as she ate, "This is at a gourmet’s level, no, even gourmets find it hard to reach this level."

Soon after, Ma Liu began serving the hot dishes, which made Celestia eat so intently that she didn’t mention going out to eat anymore.

After a big feast, Celestia felt as if she were in heaven. To be honest, though she was born by the seaside and often sailed, such a long voyage really suffocated this pampered young lady, though the ship’s supplies were enough, they couldn’t compare to meals on land; this meal washed away all fatigue.

Leaning back on the chair, Celestia didn’t care about her image anymore, with her neckline open, not that there was much to see.

Celestia wiped the sweat off her forehead, "Too luxurious, do you enjoy this kind of life every day? Who’s this chef anyway, simply amazing, can I take him with me, I’ll pay ten times the salary."

"Celestia, you can’t afford it." Estella said, she too had eaten a lot, feeling extremely comfortable, not just satisfying her appetite, it contained immensely deep hidden energy, healing the body, reaching such a level, surely a figure of the Gourmet Association.

"Hah, that’s impossible!"

"This person must be the head chef or even an elder level figure in the Gourmet Association." Estella had some insight.

"One of the five Elders." Li Xin said.

Celestia’s eyes widened, outrageously extravagant. Having an elder from the Gourmet Association as a personal home chef at your place, is this something a person can do?
