Chapter 410: Chapter 312: Cleansing the Spirit Root
Inside the Secret Realm.
While on the move, Fang Yun suddenly found himself unable to stir, his body completely frozen in place.
This could only mean one thing: the seven days were up, and they were about to be teleported out.
Ruan Hanfan had, of course, already told him that his body would be restrained like this.
If he hadn’t been warned, Fang Yun would have been shocked. ’I’m not in a fight, so why is my body suddenly paralyzed?’
While his body was restrained, Fang Yun began to take stock of his gains from the past seven days in the Land of No Master Secret Realm.
First were the kills. He had slain one Peak Foundation Establishment Demon and one Peak Foundation Establishment Blood Demon, which would definitely earn him Combat Talent Points. He had also killed a total of six peak Second Tier creatures—Mirror Beasts and Tree-men. They all had drops, so there was a high chance they would also yield Talent Points.
Then there were the monsters that had ambushed him in the Secret Realm. Despite also being peak Second Tier, they were quite ordinary in strength and had no drops. They seemed to be nothing more than a test from the Secret Realm itself, so the likelihood of them providing Talent Points was rather low.
Next were his gains in terms of Spiritual Materials and Spiritual Objects.
He had acquired a considerable amount of Third Tier Spiritual Materials in particular. These were all materials he could recognize; it was easy to miss the ones he didn’t know, and Lin Ke had even helped him get one such item.
Finally, there was the map exploration.
He had explored most of this blank region on the map.
Disciples from the Evil Sects had likely passed through here already. In some areas, he could clearly sense the former presence of something valuable, but it was already gone.
Since he had only started exploring the map after the fourth day, Fang Yun considered this to be a normal outcome.
His gains in the latter part of his stay were all from this map exploration.
Of course, for Fang Yun personally, his greatest prize from this trip to the Land of No Master Secret Realm was obtaining the Heaven and Earth Spiritual Object, the Burning Spirit Clear Flame, which could be used to cleanse his Spirit Root.
All in all, his journey into the Secret Realm had been a resounding success.
As these thoughts crossed Fang Yun’s mind, he experienced a moment of disorientation and then found himself outside the Land of No Master Secret Realm.
Before he could even get his bearings, a wave of Spiritual Power enveloped him and pulled him to a new location.
The other Inner Sect Disciples from the Purple Mist Sect were in the same situation. An Elder of the sect was at work.
Once he had mostly recovered, Fang Yun immediately checked on the other Inner Sect Disciples from the Purple Mist Sect. All four had made it out, meaning they were alive and safe. However, Chen Daguan appeared to be grievously injured—far more so than Lin Ke had been.
By the time Fang Yun had fully regained his senses, he found himself aboard a small Spirit Ship.
"Elder Ruan."
Hong Jinxing, a Peak of Core Formation Elder, called out. Ruan Hanfan gave an understanding nod and immediately began helping Chen Daguan treat his wounds.
Despite Chen Daguan’s severe injuries, Hong Jinxing was overjoyed. At least all four of the Purple Mist Sect’s Inner Sect Disciples, plus Fang Yun, had returned from the Secret Realm.
As long as they didn’t perish in the Land of No Master, their injuries could almost certainly be healed.
Besides checking on his own sect, Hong Jinxing’s main focus was observing the returning Inner Sect Disciples of the Blood Spirit Sect, with his secondary focus on the Black Dragon Hall.
He only gave a cursory glance to the other four Nascent Soul-level Evil Sects.
Only three Blood Demons returned from the Blood Spirit Sect’s group of Inner Sect Disciples; two had died in the Land of No Master. Hong Jinxing’s mood lifted at the sight. When he saw that only four Demons from the Black Dragon Hall had returned, it improved even further.
"Hahaha! Your Blood Spirit Sect suffered the heaviest losses this time! This crop of Inner Sect Disciples you have is truly pathetic." The war of words with the Blood Spirit Sect’s Elder was not yet over, and Hong Jinxing, holding the upper hand, didn’t hesitate to mock him.
As the saying goes, the facts speak for themselves.
In the face of such a reality, no amount of words could change anything.
This time, the Core Formation Elder from the Blood Spirit Sect did not continue his verbal sparring with Hong Jinxing. He had already lost this round.
From a distance, the Blood Spirit Sect’s Core Formation Elder could be seen flying into a rage, but no sound escaped. Clearly, they had put up a sound-dampening barrier.
Just as Hong Jinxing was about to say more, the Blood Spirit Sect departed, denying him any further opportunity to gloat.
"Did you kill the Blood Demons from the Blood Spirit Sect?" Hong Jinxing asked, looking at the trio led by Gao Tianxing. Chen Daguan was still being healed and couldn’t answer.
It was Lin Ke who answered him.
"We didn’t kill them directly, but Senior Brother Gao managed to injure one of them..."
Fang Yun listened from the side as Lin Ke recounted what had happened.
This was what happened to the four Purple Mist Sect disciples after they had parted ways with him.
After completing one of their team missions, they were ambushed by four Inner Sect Disciples from the Blood Spirit Sect. Fortunately, Gao Tianxing was not only powerful but also had keen senses, or the ambush would have succeeded.
And that was when the battle began.
"...Those Blood Demons from the Blood Spirit Sect clearly underestimated Senior Brother Gao’s strength. If he had run into them on his own, he definitely would have been able to kill them all!"
As she said this, Lin Ke punctuated her words with a pump of her fist.
The four Inner Sect Disciples from the Blood Spirit Sect were a formidable team when they worked together. In that situation, Gao Tianxing had to not only fight but also protect his junior brother and sisters, which made it extremely difficult for him to land a killing blow on any of the Blood Demons.
Listening to Lin Ke’s story, Fang Yun realized that the Purple Mist Sect did an excellent job of protecting information about its disciples. They had even used this to their advantage, feeding the Blood Spirit Sect bad intelligence. It was clear the information the enemy had on Gao Tianxing was inaccurate.
But after recounting this, Lin Ke hadn’t finished her story.
"We weren’t the ones who killed the Blood Demons from the Blood Spirit Sect," she said. "But Fang Yun did."
