Chapter 217: Chapter 165: Changzhou Shenhan

The journey was long, and the group gradually got to know each other. Ye Feng recounted what he’d seen at the National Youth Martial Arts Tournament, while Yu Fei shared some details about the Celestial Pride Positioning Competition.

The difference between the two was immense. The Celestial Prides already possessed considerable Inner Qi, whereas the strongest competitors at the Martial Arts Tournament were only at the second realm, and most of them relied on the Six Harmonies Killing Fist to fight.

Ye Feng’s progress in the second realm was relatively slow. He was still tempering his five viscera. Because he hadn’t perfected the Ox Subduing Pile Skill, he couldn’t perform Void Body Refining and could only practice a mid-grade second-realm Cultivation Technique, which required a vast amount of resources.

Dongfang Yebai, on the other hand, had just entered the second realm, which already made him one of the more outstanding martial arts students.

For most Martial Artists in the world, Inner Qi was an incredibly difficult threshold to cross. For many, the third realm was likely the absolute limit of their lifetime achievements.

Yu Fei and the others changed transport several times, finally boarding a private jet that flew over Changzhou Province. After passing through layers of restricted military airspace, they finally arrived at Shenhan University.

High in the sky, a cluster of heads crowded the small windows. Everyone on this plane was a newly admitted student of Shenhan University’s Class of ’838.

Yu Fei and the others peered out the windows. The first thing that came into view was a pair of colossal metal gates, taller than mountains.

Beyond the metal gates was the Shenhan University campus. From the plane, it stretched out as far as the eye could see, resembling a massive city.

In front of the metal gates was a huge, circular landing apron covered in all sorts of glowing markings. It appeared to have been built on a mountain that had been sliced in half by some unknown means to create this incredibly vast airfield.

They saw that only a few conventionally shaped aircraft still needed a runway to take off. The other, strangely designed aircraft, lifted straight off the ground, jets of multicolored flames erupting from their bodies as they vanished into the clouds in an instant.

Stretching between the airfield and the metal gates was an immense bridge. The bridge was entirely black, exuding an aura of ancient history, solemnity, and profound weight.

The plane suddenly banked, spiraling down toward the ground.

They had arrived.

Yu Fei was the last one to deplane. He glanced back at the empty cabin before turning to leave.

The owner of the red gemstone had been protecting him the entire way, from the military vehicle all the way onto this plane.

He had no idea how she had managed it without anyone noticing.

Dong Yu materialized with a bewildered expression, looking at the young man she had secretly accompanied for nearly half a year.

She didn’t understand why Ming was so concerned with him. ’The boy is strikingly handsome and pleasant to look at, but after a while, it gets pretty boring.’

Besides, in all this time, she hadn’t discovered anything special about Yu Fei.

...

"Student Xiaoming, what you’ve done is against the rules. You’d better give me a reasonable explanation!"

Zhuo Feiming sat lazily on a tall nanmu wood chair. Wisps of blue flame danced in her hand, gradually melting various metals into a liquid state. As they fused and reacted, occasional flashes of purple electricity sparked, and the mixture slowly turned into a pool of molten gold.

With a flick of her finger, the liquid transformed into countless, densely packed inscriptions that embedded themselves onto a super-weapon resembling a giant cannon.

Zhuo Feiming’s hands never stopped moving as she explained in a sweet, coquettish voice.

"Oh, Teacher, I had my reasons! This child has a significant connection to me. He’s had a difficult life, so I sealed his information to allow him to grow up in peace!"

Ye Shuping pushed up his glasses and stared at Zhuo Feiming without a word.

She grew a little uncomfortable under his gaze and added, "Besides, didn’t I already send all his data from the Positioning Competition to Martial One?"

Ye Shuping suddenly sighed. "Student Xiaoming, I taught you myself. I never thought you’d start lying to your teacher. I’m very disappointed."

Then, Ye Shuping’s tone shifted. "But regardless! The university’s practice of recording student information and files is a thousand-year-old tradition that cannot be changed. If you insist on this, I will have to convene the council!"

Seeing the determination in the old headmaster’s eyes, Zhuo Feiming knew that her pestering and evasiveness wouldn’t work any longer.

"Fine! Teacher, I can give it to you, but I need something in return. In the future, you have to recommend this child to my Shenxiao Army!"

"Impossible. Every Martial Artist must choose their own path. The university has no right to interfere!"

"Hmph!"

With that, flames flared, and Zhuo Feiming’s image dissolved into motes of light. A moment later, a heavily encrypted data packet was sent to Ye Shuping’s private account.

He pondered for a long time before finding an air-gapped personal terminal. He opened the file. Inside was every piece of information on Yu Fei, from childhood to the present, with even more detail after he began his martial arts training.

Ye Shuping reviewed it twice, comparing it point by point with Yu Fei’s performance in the Positioning Competition, and soon discovered the crux of the issue.

The silver-haired old man was lost in thought for a long while. Galaxies seemed to swirl in his eyes, countless bits of information rising and falling. His gaze grew brighter and brighter.

"So that’s how it is... Celestial Guidance for humanity!"

In an instant, the personal terminal in front of him disintegrated into dust.

Ye Shuping immediately logged into his personal account in the control center and, using his own authority as the Headmaster of Shenhan University, applied an even higher level of encryption to seal Yu Fei’s information.

Meanwhile, when Zhuo Feiming received the notification that the file had been re-encrypted, a smile couldn’t help but touch her lips.

’Thank goodness! It’s a good thing Yu Fei chose Shenhan University. If it had been Tianwen or Yuqing, this would have been much more troublesome.’

After getting off the plane, Yu Fei and the others stood within the marked lines. A spherical robot floated before them.

"Hello, future stars! It’s been a long journey for all of you. I am Yoyoball, your friendly little guide from Shenhan University. Now, allow me to show you the way!"

There was no discernible principle behind the robot’s flight; it simply hung silently in the air, bobbing slightly up and down. Its surface, like a chameleon’s skin, constantly shifted colors, displaying all sorts of patterns.
