Chapter 784: Chapter 742: Prison Break
"Ugh... Damn it..."
Kara’s leg was trapped under a large piece of concrete. She endured the intense pain and struggled to move closer to the corner, supporting her body with one arm while reaching for the gun in her chest pocket with the other.
The photos and reports in the folder were scattered all over the ground, but she didn’t have the time to pay attention to them. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
"Is it really a cult organization? Now someone’s attacking a police station to break out prisoners? This is madness." She panted heavily, a stream of blood flowing down her forehead, almost blinding her.
Nonetheless, she pulled out her gun, aiming at the damaged wall.
But amidst the lingering smoke and dust, she could only see a hint of red light; a figure looking like a ghost shadow floated in. Only when the figure got closer did she see clearly that it was a person wearing yellow and black armor, enveloped in a terrifying aura of murder.
By this time, the police outside the interrogation room also evidently noticed the commotion. The heavily armed mobile unit immediately rushed in from outside, but the opponent seemed to have anticipated this.
The enemy drew two Samurai Swords from behind, and with a flash of silver light, the two riot police at the forefront were split into four pieces.
Then, the man stepped on the forward-collapsing corpses to gain momentum, seemingly defying the law of gravity to leap, diving through the air, spinning continuously with the head down posture, while firing two large-caliber handguns in his hands.
Two seconds later, when he landed and ejected the magazine to change bullets, there wasn’t a single living person left in the hallway outside the door.
All the bodies were shot in the middle of the forehead, killing them instantly.
"Click, click."
The opponent swiftly changed the magazine and chambered a bullet, and it looked like he was walking back nonchalantly.
Meanwhile, Kara, lying on the floor and pinned down by the rubble, also chose to open fire.
Despite the vast difference in strength, she had to do what a police officer should do, even if the opponent was a monster, they couldn’t be above the law.
"Ding! Ding!"
Her police-issued handgun was 9mm caliber, but when it hit the enemy, it only created brief sparks on that strange armor.
Then the red monocular eye turned towards her, the opponent drew out the Samurai Sword, presumably intending to save a bullet, and walked towards her slowly.
Each step was like stepping on her heart. She fired continuously, but the opponent didn’t even flinch. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
The opponent bent down and grabbed Kara by the neck and pulled her out; the debris that had been weighing on her flew away, and a raspy voice echoed in the bloody and smoky little room.
"Since when did cops dare to meddle in our affairs..."
"Ah!!!" Kara’s leg must have been broken, the forceful extraction from the rubble brought her intense pain, and the emptied pistol fell to the ground.
She could only helplessly slap the opponent’s arm, but the arm unmoving held her up, seeming ready to strangle her at any moment.
Stunned by the explosion, Su Ming only came to his senses. He wasn’t hurt at all, except for the ringing in his ears.
As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw a mysterious person intending to kill a police officer. He immediately shouted to stop it.
"No, don’t kill anyone!"
The Armored Man turned his head to glance at him, his shoulders visibly slumped, then he tapped Kara’s head from behind with the hilt, and Kara made a sound and passed out.
The mysterious man casually tossed her to the ground like garbage and, holding the sword, walked towards Su Ming.
"You might be a little late saying that, 21 are dead outside the door."
Seeing the monster approaching him, Su Ming felt equally afraid. He tried to shrink back as much as possible, but he was still handcuffed.
"Who are you?"
"Oh? Asking that? Aren’t I just you? Haha..." The Armored Man swung his Samurai Sword, slashing past the surface from under Su Ming’s hand.
’Ding ding’ two crisp sounds accompanied by sparks, both pairs of handcuffs snapped, turning into two iron bracelets. Another vertical chop split the interrogation chair in half, falling to the ground.
The opponent sheathed the weapon: "Come with me."
"Who are you? Where to? I..."
"The police support will arrive in no more than 10 seconds. You’re now a fugitive. Are you sure you want to chat here?" The opponent reached out, grabbed him up, and carried him over the shoulder.
Whether for commemoration or something, he even picked up a photo of a dead body from the ground.
"Hmm, this technique, no mistake."
With that, carrying Su Ming, he rushed out of the hole, arriving at the parking lot outside the police station, lifting a sewer manhole cover and jumping down.
................
"Here should be about right, a few minutes until the rendezvous time. What do you want to ask?"
In the stench-ridden sewer, the opponent carrying Su Ming didn’t seem to know how far they walked in darkness, finally arriving at a slightly drier place, putting him down.
Su Ming had no intention of escaping, just squatted down, rubbing his face and hair, wondering why yesterday everything was fine, but today his identity suddenly shifted from a paparazzi to a psychotic human demon?
He clearly didn’t remember killing anyone, yet all the evidence has convinced him; he recognized his handwriting, and all other evidence was indisputable.
"Huff, huff... What... happened to me?"
In the darkness, only the red light from the monocular eye could be seen, and the Demon’s voice sounded again:
"I’m a mercenary, not a scientist. Your current situation, I thought you knew."
"What?"
"What do you mean, what?"
Su Ming shook his head. The opponent seemed to be toying with him. He could feel there was no malicious intent from the opponent, his life was not in danger, but it felt like being played for a fool.
