Chapter 284: Rebuilding the Settlement
Roxanna frowned. "Bad? It’s not bad at all..." Her cheeks immediately turned red after saying that. "I’m just saying... it feels weird."
Cyrus chuckled. "Then I guess everything is fine," he said calmly. After a brief pause, he added, "And you’ll probably get used to it after drinking my blood two or three more times."
Roxanna instantly widened her eyes. She was about to protest, but then she suddenly remembered that his blood would probably work better if she drank it regularly every month.
Before she could say anything else, the system suddenly rang loudly inside her head.
[Ding! Ding!]

This time, Roxanna’s eyes widened so much that they almost looked ready to pop out of their sockets.
It felt like this was the first time she had ever received such a huge amount of Spirit Points at once.
"Did the voice inside your head give you something good again?" Cyrus suddenly asked.
Roxanna quickly nodded. "It gave me a lot of useful things."
[Host, since your Spirit Points have surpassed 500k, the system will now offer you something useful.]
A holographic panel suddenly appeared in front of Roxanna, followed by several glowing lines of text.
[Exchange 400,000 SP to restore your settlement back to its original condition.]
[Additional Bonuses:
10 extra huts
30 sacks of farming seeds
50 packs of medicinal plants
Defensive pits added around the settlement to strengthen protection]
Roxanna blinked several times while staring at the floating panel like she had just discovered hidden treasure.
Four hundred thousand Spirit Points was ridiculously expensive, but if she could restore the settlement and even receive so many extra bonuses, then honestly... it felt completely worth it.
[Well... I guess spending 400,000 Spirit Points to give everyone their home back is worth it.]
The moment Cyrus heard that, he immediately spoke.
"Isn’t that... something you achieved through your own hard work?"
Roxanna instantly looked shocked. "Ah, you heard that?!" she asked in embarrassment. "I swear I was talking quietly..."
Cyrus looked away slightly before replying, "Sometimes... we can hear it. But not all the time."
Roxanna narrowed her eyes and looked at him suspiciously. But after a moment, she decided to simply trust him.
"Yes, I get Spirit Points every time I complete a mission, but..." Roxanna glanced at the floating panel again. "I think it’s worth using them now."
She let out a sigh before continuing, "Everyone is exhausted, and it would be better if we didn’t have to rebuild the settlement from scratch again."
"Besides..." Roxanna added softly, "Carla and the others will probably need to stay here for a while, so we also need more huts for them." She looked back at Cyrus. "Don’t you think I’m making the right choice?"
Cyrus looked slightly surprised for a moment. It was rare for Roxanna to ask for his opinion before making an important decision like this. Usually, she would make decisions on her own without even thinking about herself first.
After a brief silence, Cyrus finally asked, "Do you think you can handle watching all your hard work disappear in a single day?"
Roxanna frowned slightly. "But I’ll still have some Spirit Points left..." she muttered. "Maybe around one hundred thousand or so."
Cyrus didn’t answer right away. Instead, he silently let her think about it herself.
A few seconds later, Roxanna finally sighed. "But you’re right. It’s still a huge amount."
The people of the Vixeria Tribe could probably rebuild the settlement from nothing again if they truly had to. But Roxanna simply didn’t have the heart to let everyone watch all their hard work disappear overnight.
Then suddenly, something clicked inside her mind. "I got most of those Spirit Points because of all of you too, not just because of myself," Roxanna said slowly. "So if I use them for everyone, then... I think that’s fair, right?"
Cyrus reached out and gently held her hand before nodding. "If that’s what you truly want, then I think it’s fine," he said softly. "The others and I will help you collect more Spirit Points in the future."
Roxanna’s face immediately brightened. She suddenly leaned closer and gave him several quick kisses on the lips.
"Alright!" she said excitedly. "Then I’ve made up my mind!"
[System, I want to exchange my Spirit Points!]
[Ding! Ding!]
[Exchange successful.]
[400,000 SP has been used to restore the settlement.]
[Remaining Spirit Points (SP): 199,950]
Roxanna blinked before suddenly asking out loud, "Wait, should I warn everyone first before the settlement gets repaired?"
[Too late, Host! The system has already started the restoration process!]
The moment the system finished speaking, the ground suddenly trembled beneath them. Roxanna immediately grabbed Cyrus’ arm in shock.
"What the heck?!"
A loud rumbling sound echoed throughout the entire settlement.
Burned wood scattered across the ground suddenly began glowing with a faint golden light before slowly disappearing into countless sparkling particles.
Cyrus instantly pulled Roxanna closer to him, his sharp eyes scanning the surroundings carefully.
"The system is doing this?" he asked in disbelief.
"I think so?!"
More tremors spread through the settlement, and then, right in front of their eyes, the broken walls of a nearby hut suddenly began rebuilding themselves.
The shattered wood rose from the ground on its own, reconnecting piece by piece as if invisible hands were repairing everything at terrifying speed.
Roxanna’s jaw slowly dropped open. "Okay, this is actually insane."
Not far away, shocked screams from the tribe members could already be heard.
"The huts are moving?!"
"W-What is happening?!"
"Is this magic?!"
Even the burned farmland slowly started changing. The blackened soil regained its healthy color, while fresh green sprouts pushed through the earth at visible speed.
The smell of smoke lingering in the air slowly faded, replaced by the fresh scent of grass, wood, and soil instead.
Cyrus silently watched everything happening around them, clearly stunned. Even he—someone who had seen countless strange things in his life—looked speechless right now.
Meanwhile, Roxanna suddenly realized something important. "Oh no."
Cyrus looked at her immediately. "What?"
"I completely forgot that the system also added extra huts."
"Extra huts?"
Before Roxanna could explain further, several brand-new huts suddenly rose from the ground near the edge of the settlement.
The nearby tribe members froze in shock while watching entire buildings rise out of nowhere.
"Did our Leader do this magic?!"
"Who else could it be?!"
"Leader! We’re really glad to have you here!"
Outside the settlement, the defensive pits slowly formed around the village walls. The ground cracked open with loud rumbling sounds before deep trenches appeared one after another.
"Our Leader is amazing!" ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
"She even restored the farm!"
"We don’t need to rebuild everything from the beginning anymore!"
Some of the older women even started crying after seeing the restored huts and healthy farmland.
For them, the settlement wasn’t just a place to live, it was also their home.
And after believing they had lost everything overnight, seeing it restored so suddenly felt almost unreal.
Roxanna and Cyrus finally stood up once the ground stopped shaking. As Roxanna walked toward the people gathering nearby, she was able to see all kinds of expressions on their faces.
Shock.
Relief.
Disbelief.
Some people looked excited, while others still seemed completely confused by what had just happened.
A few children were even running around the newly restored huts while screaming happily, as if the terrifying attack from earlier had never happened at all.
"Leader Roxanna!" Grandma Mia called out the moment she saw her approaching. "Did you really rebuild the settlement by yourself?!"
Before Roxanna could answer, another person immediately interrupted.
"Of course she did! Didn’t you see the ground moving?!"
"That’s amazing..."
"Heaven should bless her!"
Roxanna instantly felt her face heat up from embarrassment. "Alright, alright... calm down first," she said while awkwardly waving her hands. "It’s not that exaggerated."
But unfortunately, nobody seemed willing to calm down at all.
Marlow suddenly looked around the restored settlement before emotionally saying, "I thought we lost everything..."
The atmosphere around them quieted slightly after hearing that.
Many people lowered their heads as if they had just remembered the fear and despair they felt earlier during the attack.
Some of the women even started wiping away tears again.
Then one of the children suddenly ran toward Roxanna and tightly hugged her leg.
"Thank you, Leader!" the little boy shouted happily. "Now I still have a home!"
Roxanna felt touched, then turned toward Carla, who was currently having her wounds bandaged by the others. "Carla, since your settlement has been destroyed, you can stay here for the time being."
