Chapter 54: Chapter 54: The Revelation of Ashura and the Battle Against Bloodflare

Orphesius fought Bloodflare with all the strength he had, but every attack was easily thwarted by Bloodflare.

"Damn, I’m starting to get tired," Orphesius said.

"Hahaha, is this all you’ve got, weak human?" Bloodflare mocked.

"Who said this is all I can do? Now, it’s time for Sylvara, Zarek," Orphesius replied.

Upon calling them, Sylvara and Zarek began their assault to assist the exhausted Orphesius.

"Oh, so it’s not just you? Interesting," Bloodflare remarked.

As their attacks were about to land on Bloodflare, they suddenly vanished without a trace.

Sylvara and Zarek were shocked to see their attacks disappear.

"What? How is this possible?" Zarek exclaimed.

"Our attacks just vanished," Sylvara said, confused.

Rin, who had been watching, explained to them.

"Of course, your attacks vanished. You’re using dark magic, aren’t you? Such attacks won’t harm him, let alone scratch him," Rin said.

"Hahaha, looks like you know a lot, human," Bloodflare laughed.

"Of course I do. I’ve seen attacks like that in the past," Rin replied.

"Hoo, interesting. It seems I must deal with you first," Bloodflare said.

"Very well. It’s been a long time since I found an opponent worthy," Rin said confidently.

Miyuki, seeing that Rin was preparing to fight, expressed concern.

"Are you sure you can face him alone, Rin?" Miyuki asked.

"Don’t worry, I’m no ordinary human," Rin reassured her.

"I know that, but he’s no ordinary sword either," Miyuki responded.

"At least I have to hold him off until Ryutaro arrives. I have a feeling he will come and defeat him," Rin said.

"Alright then, be careful," Miyuki warned.

"Understood," Rin replied.

Rin bravely stepped forward to face Bloodflare.

"Hoo, done talking?" Bloodflare taunted.

"Sorry to keep you waiting. Let’s get started," Rin said as she rushed toward him.

Meanwhile, Ryutaro and his father had finally entered the palace.

"Wow, this palace is magnificent," Ryutaro commented.

"Stay alert, son, we don’t want anything unexpected to happen," Ryutaro’s father advised.

"Alright, Father," Ryutaro replied.

They continued deeper into the palace, eventually reaching a grand door.

"After all this time, we finally get here. By the way, what kind of door is this?" Ryutaro asked.

"I don’t know what kind of door this is," his father answered.

"Hmm, this door seems suspicious, but we’ve come this far. There’s no point in stopping here," Ryutaro said.

"You’re right. Should we open it?" his father asked.

"Of course, there’s no other way forward," Ryutaro said.

"Alright, let’s open it together," his father agreed.

Together, they opened the door carefully.

Once the door opened, they were stunned by a figure with glowing red eyes, sitting on a throne in the middle of the room.

"Father, what is that?" Ryutaro asked.

"I don’t know, but the aura feels like Morz’rath," his father said.

"Is it the same? Could it be the demon god whose body part you used to forge Morz’rath?" Ryutaro questioned.

"I suspect so," his father replied.

Just then, the figure spoke.

"It’s been a long time since anyone came here," the figure said.

Ryutaro and his father immediately took several steps back, preparing for any possibility.

"Oh, you two are already on guard just from hearing me? Good, good," the figure said.

"Who are you, and why are you here?" Ryutaro demanded.

"I am the king of the demon gods whose body part your father used to forge the sword you carry. My name is Ashura," the figure revealed.

"Ashura? The god of fire with six arms behind him? But you only have two arms," Ryutaro remarked.

"Oh, so that’s what you know about me? Or is that just from your old world?" Ashura asked.

"Yes, that’s correct, but how do you know I’m not from this world?" Ryutaro asked.

"Of course I know. I can identify anyone who enters this dimension, including the one beside you, Kevin, right?" Ashura said.

"Yes, that’s me," Ryutaro’s father confirmed.

After Ashura’s revelation, Ryutaro asked about the reason they were brought to this dimension.

"Now that we’re done with introductions, why did you bring us here?" Ryutaro asked.

"It’s simple. I want to appoint you as my heir," Ashura answered.

"Huh? Your heir? Are you sure you’ve got the right person?" Ryutaro questioned.

"Of course. I’ve been watching you for a long time," Ashura said.

"You’ve been watching me? Wait, does that mean..." Ryutaro began to realize.

"Yes, you should have realized by now. How do you think your hoe—now your sword—can talk?" Ashura asked. ƒгeewёbnovel.com

"Hmm, that makes sense. I don’t remember the sword being able to speak, but once I finished making it, it just started talking," Ryutaro’s father explained.

"Huh? So you didn’t find it suspicious that the sword started talking?" Ryutaro asked.

"Of course not. I thought it was because I used a part of a demon god’s body to forge it, and that’s why I assumed the sword could speak," Ryutaro’s father replied.

"Geez, Father... (shifting the conversation to Ashura) So why do you think I can be your heir?" Ryutaro asked.

"At first, I wasn’t sure. But you’ve shown time and again that you’re worthy of inheriting my power," Ashura explained.

"And if I become your heir, will I be able to defeat Bloodflare and free one of my women from his control?" Ryutaro asked.

Upon hearing the name "Bloodflare," Ashura seemed taken aback.

"Bloodflare? Are you sure you’re not mistaken? You mean the sword Valen uses, right?" Ashura asked.

"Of course, I’m not mistaken. Why? Do you know him?" Ryutaro asked.

"Of course, because Valen is a traitor from our race," Ashura revealed.

Ryutaro’s father could hardly believe what he was hearing.

"How is that possible? He was my ally, fighting with me to defeat the god Xerathos," Ryutaro’s father said.

"Defeated? It seems you don’t know anything about Valen, do you? He’s a traitor who sided with Xerathos and betrayed us. That’s why we lost the war—he leaked information about our weaknesses to the Children of Ruin," Ashura said.

"But he and I fought alongside each other against the Children of Ruin for a long time. How could he have been a traitor and joined Xerathos?" Ryutaro’s father protested.

Seeing his disbelief, Ashura tried to prove the truth of his words.

"If you don’t believe me, Kevin, tell me, where is he now?" Ashura asked.

"Isn’t he dead? I saw it with my own eyes," Ryutaro’s father replied.

"Dead? Did you see his body turn to ash, as if it was burned?" Ashura asked.

"What do you mean?" Ryutaro’s father asked. freewebnσvel.cøm

"Our race has a unique trait. If someone dies—except for the king of the demon gods—their body vanishes as if it was burned," Ashura explained.

"Wait a minute... His body was like any other human’s. It didn’t vanish like you said," Ryutaro’s father recalled.

"See? He didn’t die. He was pretending to be dead, just to return to Xerathos’s side," Ashura confirmed.

Hearing this, Ryutaro’s father froze, unable to believe it, but everything Ashura said made sense. As the king of the demon gods, he would know that the body remained intact when he found it.

"Father? Are you alright?" Ryutaro asked, noticing his father’s stunned expression.

"Of course, I still don’t believe it, but everything he said makes sense," Ryutaro’s father admitted.

Ashura cut into their conversation.

"So, Ryutaro, will you accept my power and become my heir, to defeat the god Xerathos?" Ashura asked.

Ryutaro, hearing this, turned to his father for advice.

"So, Father, should I accept it or refuse?" Ryutaro asked.

"It’s your decision, son. I have no say in it," his father replied.

Ryutaro thought deeply about his decision, unsure whether to accept or decline.

Meanwhile, in the real world...

Rin had just launched an attack and managed to push Bloodflare back.

"Tch, I thought you’d be stronger. Is that all you’ve got?" Rin taunted.

"Don’t underestimate me, human. I’m just getting started," Bloodflare threatened.

"Whether you’re warming up or not, I’m taking Charlotte back from your control," Rin declared.

"Taking this body back? Dream on," Bloodflare scoffed.

Bloodflare then unleashed his technique.

Blood Domain

In this domain, Bloodflare could move freely and slowly drain Rin’s blood, while Rin couldn’t move because her blood was being trapped in the domain.

"Tch, this domain is so annoying," Rin muttered.

"Hahaha, now all you can do is wait for me to drain your blood," Bloodflare mocked.

"Are you a vampire or something, sucking blood like that?" Rin asked.

"Vampire? Don’t compare me to a lowly race like that. I am a sword from the demon god’s race," Bloodflare responded.

"A sword from the demon god’s race? Could it be... Valen?" Rin asked.

"Yes, my master, Valen is one of the demon gods’ race, and also a follower of Xerathos," Bloodflare revealed.

Rin wasn’t surprised; she had already suspected this.

"Hoo, so that’s how it is," Rin said calmly.

"Why aren’t you shocked?" Bloodflare asked.

"Of course, I’m not surprised. I used to be a member of the Children of Ruin. I know exactly who follows that god," Rin explained.

"Hoo, interesting, but unfortunately, you won’t last much longer in this domain," Bloodflare sneered.

Bloodflare intensified his domain, and Rin grew paler as her blood continued to be drained.

Meanwhile, Lilith, waiting outside the cave for Ryutaro, decided to enter the cave herself to find him.

"Oni-chan, it’s taking too long. I’ll go in first," Lilith muttered.

She entered and managed to break through the barrier at the cave entrance.

Will Lilith find Ryutaro? If she does, what will her reaction be when she sees Ryutaro lying unconscious on the ground, unable to withstand the aura of the cave? What will happen to Rin trapped in the domain—will she receive outside help? And most importantly, will Ryutaro accept Ashura’s power and become his heir? Stay tuned for Chapter 55!
