Chapter 23: Reconstructing the Vehicles
Now there were twenty vehicles sitting inside Phoenix Auto Trading.
The lot that looked empty just a week ago now resembled a small scrapyard.
Several vehicles had visible collision damage.
A few still carried traces of flood damage.
One of the Vios units was missing a headlight.
The Montero parked near the corner had a crushed front bumper.
The flooded Fortuner still smelled terrible despite spending days under the roofing.
Most people would’ve seen junk.
Richard saw inventory.
He slowly walked through the rows of vehicles while mentally calculating numbers.
The flooded Vios he purchased for ninety-five thousand pesos.
The Fortuner he bought for four hundred thousand.
The Montero for two hundred fifty thousand.
The damaged Honda City.
The flooded Nissan Almera.
The collision-damaged Raize.
Altogether, the inventory cost him a little over four million pesos.
Four million pesos sounded like a lot.
Until he looked at the list stored on his phone.
Two Fortuner GR Sports.
Two Montero Black Series units.
Two Camry hybrids.
Two Civic RS Turbos.
Two RAV4 hybrids.
Two BMW X3s.
A BMW 330i.
A Lexus NX.
A Mercedes-Benz GLC.
An Audi Q5.
Richard glanced at the rows of damaged vehicles again.
Then looked back at the list.
The difference between those two images was roughly fifty million pesos.
Maybe more.
A grin slowly appeared on his face.
That was the ridiculous part.
He wasn’t planning to restore these vehicles to their original condition.
That would’ve been a waste.
Why spend ninety-five thousand pesos on a flooded Vios just to end up with another Vios?
The real money came from upgrading.
From transforming something cheap into something valuable.
His eyes eventually landed on the flood-damaged Toyota Vios sitting closest to the office.
That vehicle was about to become a BMW worth over three million pesos.
And it would only cost a single reconstruction charge.
Richard walked toward it and placed one hand on the roof.
Immediately, the familiar blue holographic interface appeared before his eyes.
For a brief moment, he simply stared at it.
Even now, after everything the system had done for him, it still felt unreal.
A few months ago he was fixing broken phones in Divisoria.
Now he was standing inside his own dealership preparing to create a luxury vehicle from a flooded economy sedan.
Life was weird.
"Okay, let’s get to business."
Richard selected the reconstruction template for the first vehicle.
A flooded Toyota Vios.
Its future destination was a BMW 330i M Sport.
The system quickly verified compatibility.
Length compatible.
Width compatible.
Height compatible.
Weight compatible.
Richard selected lightly used condition.
Model year 2024.
Mileage eighteen thousand kilometers.
One previous owner.
Complete service records.
Then he confirmed the reconstruction.
Golden light immediately engulfed the Vios.
The damaged sedan disappeared beneath the glow as its entire structure began changing.
The transformation lasted only seconds.
When the light faded, the Vios no longer existed.
A metallic gray BMW 330i M Sport occupied the same parking space.
Richard immediately moved on to the next vehicle.
Then the next.
Then the next.
A damaged Honda City became a Lexus IS300 Premier.
A flood-damaged Nissan Almera became a Mercedes-Benz C200 Avantgarde.
A collision-damaged Toyota Raize became an Audi Q5 S Line.
A heavily damaged Fortuner became a Toyota Fortuner GR Sport.
Another Fortuner became a second GR Sport.
The crushed Montero near the corner became a Montero Sport Black Series.
The second Montero followed shortly afterward.
A flood-damaged Toyota Corolla Altis became a Toyota Camry Hybrid.
Another damaged sedan became a second Camry Hybrid.
The transformations continued one after another.
Golden light repeatedly illuminated the dealership lot. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
Vehicle after vehicle disappeared.
Vehicle after vehicle emerged.
The rows of damaged inventory slowly vanished.
The scrapyard atmosphere began disappearing with them.
The remaining Honda sedans became Civic RS Turbos.
Two crossover units became Toyota RAV4 Hybrids.
Two more vehicles transformed into Mazda CX-5 AWD Turbos.
A larger SUV became a Mazda CX-60 Hybrid.
The two most expensive upgrades came later.
A pair of damaged SUVs transformed into BMW X3 xDrive20d units.
A flood-damaged crossover became a Lexus NX350 Premier.
Another SUV transformed into a Mercedes-Benz GLC300 AMG Line.
Richard barely stopped working.
Every reconstruction consumed only a few seconds.
The longest part was selecting the appropriate settings.
Lightly used.
One previous owner.
Complete maintenance records.
Factory specifications.
Believable mileage.
Believable wear.
Believable history.
By the time the final reconstruction finished, the sun had already begun setting beyond the surrounding buildings.
The last traces of golden light slowly faded.
Silence returned to Phoenix Auto Trading.
Richard finally lowered his hand and looked across the lot.
The difference was almost absurd.
Just hours ago the property looked like a graveyard of broken vehicles.
Flood damage.
Collision damage.
Mechanical failures.
Insurance write-offs.
Now every parking space contained a premium vehicle.
Two Fortuner GR Sports sat beneath the roofing.
The pair of Montero Black Series units occupied the opposite row.
The Camry hybrids rested near the entrance.
The Civic RS Turbos sat beside the RAV4 hybrids.
The Mazda vehicles occupied another section of the lot.
The BMWs stood out immediately.
The Lexus units looked elegant.
The Mercedes-Benz vehicles carried an unmistakable presence.
The Audi looked exactly like something that belonged in an upscale dealership.
Most importantly, none of them looked brand new.
Every vehicle appeared lightly used.
The paint remained excellent.
The interiors remained excellent.
Yet small details existed everywhere.
Minor tire wear.
Slight leather creasing.
Realistic odometer readings.
Complete registration documents.
Service histories.
Ownership records.
Everything looked exactly as it should.
To any customer, the vehicles would simply look like high-quality second-hand units owned previously by wealthy professionals.
Richard slowly walked through the rows.
The inventory value had increased from roughly four million pesos to well over fifty million.
And he had spent exactly twenty reconstruction charges.
That left more than one hundred twenty charges remaining.
With the reconstruction done, it’s time to show to the world what he was selling.
