Chapter 1729: Chapter 944: The Legacy of the Twelve Divines (Part 2)

The gods created this way are indeed weaker than those who rely on their own breakthrough, but there is essentially no difference.

During the ongoing Abyss Blood Battle, a legendary adventure team accidentally stumbled into the Demon’s Gate.

And through demons, they inadvertently fell into the twelfth level, the [Twelve Trees].

From the core of the [Twelve Trees] Abyss Plane, namely those twelve giant trees that bind the divine apostles, they discovered the remnants of the twelve divine apostles.

The most precious among them were the divine positions and divine status left behind by the twelve subordinate gods.

After obtaining these treasures, two members of the adventure team successfully ignited the divine fire to break through to divinity.

One of them fell directly in the Endless Abyss under the siege of the Abyss Lords.

The other received assistance from the Earth Mother Goddess Shangtiya, successfully escaped the Endless Abyss, and eventually became an associate of the Earth Mother Goddess.

And this was Lis’s goal.

In fact, Lis currently had a certain confidence and assurance about breaking through to divinity.

Ordinary treasures were not very important to Lis.

Even divine positions and divine status were the same.

He wasn’t lacking in such achievements.

But the situation at the [Twelve Trees] is different.

There are a full twelve divine positions and divine statuses left by gods!

These are incredibly precious and important treasures for Lis.

In fact, none of these twelve divine positions and statuses are particularly powerful.

For example, Charm, Travel, Cave, Trade, and so on.

These positions aren’t powerful for Lis, and he wouldn’t use them as his reliance for breaking through to divinity.

However, because of the presence of the Domains of Wisdom and rules, these divine positions have extraordinary significance for Lis.

They can greatly accelerate Lis’s understanding of domains like Wisdom and significantly propel him towards the divine rank.

For Lis, they essentially represent twelve crucial experience packages.

And Lis does remember several other places with similar treasures, but they have only one or two divine positions left at most.

No matter how strong the divine positions left behind are, they aren’t as valuable to Lis as the remains from the [Twelve Trees] Abyss Plane.

Therefore, Lis does not want to give up this rare opportunity.

But now, Cain tells him Demogorgon is on the twelfth level?

This doesn’t make sense.

If Demogorgon had always been monitoring the twelfth level [Twelve Trees], how could the legendary adventure team have taken those divine positions and statuses right under Demogorgon’s nose?

But if Demogorgon did it intentionally, why would the Abyss Lords surround and attack the two who achieved divinity?

Wouldn’t it be better to let them return to Gaia World if there’s a problem?

The most likely scenario is that because of Lis, Demogorgon, who hadn’t paid attention to the twelfth level in the past life, is now remaining there.

"Lord Cain, if I want to enter the twelfth level, is there a way?"

Lis thought for a moment, looking at Cain and asked.

"Have you thought it through?"

Cain’s lips subtly curled upwards as he looked at Lis and asked.

"Yes."

Lis nodded in response.

For Lis, he wouldn’t give up unless absolutely necessary.

Of course, Lis wouldn’t really take enormous risks.

For instance, if Demogorgon truly is on the twelfth level, he wouldn’t actually enter there.

Appearing in front of Demogorgon, Lis might just go directly to death, which might be a more "secure" option.

Cain clearly understood this as well.

Therefore, Lis sought Cain’s help, inquiring if there was a way to avoid this situation.

The simplest way: getting Demogorgon to leave the twelfth level.

For Lis, this is nearly impossible.

But for Cain, it shouldn’t be an undoable task.

After all, judging by previous scenarios, Cain seems to have been opposing Demogorgon for countless years.

Both sides should understand each other quite well.

Undoubtedly, Cain could comprehend Lis’s intentions.

"It’s a bit troublesome for me too."

Cain picked up the blood wine in front of him, took a sip and said with a smile:

"But I’m also quite curious about what Demogorgon is doing on the twelfth level?"

...

Endless Abyss, Twelfth Level,

At the center of this Abyss Plane, where twelve towering giant trees stood, the massive pitch-black shadow thoroughly shrouded this area.

Twelve trees majestic in their presence, with branches twisted like dragons, leaves as black as night.

In this central zone, wrapped by overwhelmingly dense Abyss Power, a round emerald barrier exists.

It’s like a dazzling jade, emitting a gentle yet steadfast glow.

Within the barrier, Stephens quietly sat there.

His visage serene like water, yet his eyes revealed undeniable firmness and resolve.

Suspended before him was a Magic Wand, his reliance against the Abyss Power outside.

Embedded in the wand were shimmering gemstones exuding inexplicable strength.

This force distinctly contrasts with the Abyss Power, its brilliance pure and holy.

It relentlessly clashed with the surrounding dark force, creating ripples with each collision.

Just then, the entire abyss plane seemed to tremble, specks of blood-red aura began emerging in the sky.

Thick like blood, they spread maliciously across the space, dyeing everything with a bizarre hue.

The presence of the blood-red aura signals the arrival of a powerful entity.

Meanwhile, an enormous shadow seemingly composed of endless fear and evil slowly rose around the Twelve Trees.

This shadow was massive, almost covering the entire sky.

Its form blurred and twisted, as if formed by countless vengeful spirits and demons.

Its eyes revealed boundless cruelty and greed, seeming capable of engulfing all light and hope.

The shadow slowly lifted its head, gazing at the blood-red aura in the sky, its mouth curling into a cruel smile.

"Augustus, what do you intend to do, coming here instead of staying obediently in your abyss?"

The gigantic voice reverberated throughout the abyss plane, but didn’t cause much of a stir.

After all, no other abyss demons existed on this layer of the abyss plane.

Yet Stephens noticed the anomaly outside, opening his eyes.

The seal against Stephens still endured, incapable of freeing him from Demogorgon’s chains.

Nevertheless, changes seemed to occur now.

This was a rare opportunity.

The [Gaia’s Fury] staff before him subtly flickered, swiftly, a beam of light from the staff quietly vanished without attracting any attention.

"Demogorgon, I truly didn’t know the twelfth level became your territory?"

Cain’s voice, a hint of laziness, echoed in the twelfth level.

"Fortunately, I’ve got some time recently, thought I’d see what you’re up to?"

Listening to Cain, no one else but Augustus, whose voice seemed somewhat mischievous, directly sparked Demogorgon’s wrath.

A turbulent Abyss Power erupted around Demogorgon’s body, fiercely rushing toward that blood-red hue in the sky, seemingly intending to drive Cain away from this abyss plane.

"No need to be so angry, let me see what you’re doing at the Twelve Trees here."

Although Cain’s words lacked enthusiasm, his actions moved swiftly.

A sudden beam of blood light shot from the sky towards the area shielded by Demogorgon around the Twelve Trees.

It seemed intent on revealing what Demogorgon hid.

"Ridiculous!"

Demogorgon sneered, lifting a huge right hand to crush the blood light.

"With just your weak avatar? Wait until you’re willing to leave the Eternal Sleep Abyss!"

"Seems this is indeed a matter of great importance to you!"

Cain’s voice laughed as it resonated.
