Chapter 701: Chapter 364: Red Dragon Team (Part 3)

Despite the current blank slate of the base, it didn’t stop him from imagining the scenes of the future.

"Let’s go check out that vacant lot first."

Everyone was highly motivated about it.

That would be the territory of their Red Dragon Team in the future.

They hurriedly rushed to the site of the base.

This plot of land, not far from the south gate, was in an area slightly away from the residential district.

Due to being left idle for a long time, the ground was overgrown with some weeds, giving it a somewhat desolate look.

But every member of Gauss’ team did not despise this land when they saw it.

"We need to set up fences first to enclose the surrounding area."

Albena suggested.

"We’ll also need to hire professional construction mages to build houses, a blacksmith shop, and internal roads." freewebnøvel.coɱ

The group excitedly discussed their plans.

Very soon, everyone found their own tasks and got busy.

Serdur returned to the Adventurer’s Guild to commission the construction of the base.

The others started pulling weeds while planning the internal layout.

Responsible for forging the blacksmith shop, handling materials in the logistics warehouse, member dormitories and residential houses, reception rooms for external guests, defensive fence walls, entrance direction, and the connection of internal and external roads.

Gauss nodded at his team’s small treasury.

Now, they only had a little over twelve hundred Gold Coins left.

It sounded like a lot, but building up an adventurer group’s base was clearly no small project.

All the building materials, supplies, and furniture purchases would require money.

"Lord Gauss, let’s build the blacksmith shop first."

"I can recast the iron I’ve saved into refined steel, selling it should also bring in a good amount of money."

Seeing Gauss counting the Gold Coins, Albena said considerately.

Gauss’ team had also amassed quite a few useful supplies.

If sold directly, their value would be relatively low, but if Albena reprocessed them, it would be different.

"Then I’ll have to trouble you, Albena."

As the saying goes, money makes the world go round.

Under the influence of monetary power, one building after another quickly rose on the empty land.

Days later, the once vast open ground had become a well-organized and somewhat large-scale cluster of buildings.

The perimeter of the base was surrounded by a solid fence nearly three meters high, constructed from heavy logs and partly inlaid with iron bars.

The only entrance was flanked by two stone pillars adorned with Dragon Scale carvings, with space reserved at the top for placing the insignia.

Within the fenced area, several clear and clean water roads linked a few core functional areas.

Closest to the entrance was the affairs office for external reception, a square stone and wood mixed building.

Bright and well-lit, it had large windows on all sides, and inside were sturdy wooden counters, sofas, tables, chairs, and bulletin board frames already in place.

Next came the training square, currently equipped with some basic training gear and weapon racks.

The core members’ living area was a luxurious three-story mansion, and not far off were some dormitories and transplanted silver leaf sycamore groves.

The blacksmith shop and warehouse were adjacent, located in the corner of the entire base.

They were still clanging noisily.

Albena was working diligently, re-smelting and forging those broken weapons and metal scraps.

Gauss flew overhead.

Looking down at the base from above, he felt a strong sense of fulfillment and responsibility rising in his heart.

This was the starting point of their "Red Dragon Team."

He landed.

"Commander, here is the list of gifts from this morning’s visitors."

Two sweet-voiced receptionists saw him land and hurriedly handed over the list for his inspection.

These receptionists were locals, hired through an agency, and more ordinary employees would be hired later to keep the base functioning.

"Thank you for your hard work."

Shops and merchant teams in the surrounding town had already heard of the Red Dragon Team’s reputation and came specifically to visit.

The refined steel ingots Albena forged had all been pre-ordered.

On the forest grounds of the base, released silver wolves, ravens, and the Red Dragon were resting.

Outside the fence, many curious children stood far away, peering at the shadowy figures of giant animals inside.
