Chapter 26: Lancelot’s true identity.
[POV]: Lancelot.
I was a reincarnator. In my previous life, I was a model student and came from a famous and powerful family in my country.
Everyone had to look up to me.
I was famous, smart, and rich. I was born at the finish line.
I had everything. Even my breakfast was always luxurious, featuring dishes like Wagyu beef and Alaskan lobster.
However, it was quite boring to me.
I wanted a challenge.
One day, I heard a rumor from some weebs: "If you get hit by a truck, you’ll have a chance to reincarnate into a new world."
From that day on, I became obsessed with those words, and so I made a crazy decision. That’s why I was here.
A fantasy world that I had always dreamed of, where I was the protagonist — the strongest genius, destined to carve my name into history.
"You don’t deserve her because you’re not the chosen one."
I glanced at Henry.
"But I won’t force you to give up on my concubine. That’s not the path a hero would take. I will prove to her that I’m the best man in the whole world. She will divorce you after seeing how kind and strong I am."
Then, I glared at Tristan in anger.
"You trash. How dare you touch my concubine and even bully her husband? You’re unworthy of your position. Bullying the weak is wrong. Their fate is to witness how great we are, not to die in suffering."
Tristan frowned in discomfort, gesturing for his underlings to attack Lancelot.
"Stop acting like a hero! That is my prey."
I smirked before releasing a wild aura that covered them. That was one of my bloodline skills:
[Rage Aura]
Any enemy whose potential rank was lower than mine would be affected and couldn’t move properly.
It worked like a debuff on them.
However, I instantly frowned as I saw a shadowy figure moving at high speed above me. It was a movement I couldn’t fully catch in a short time, but I still perceived it thanks to my bloodline skills.
That shadow instantly approached Tristan’s underlings, who were slowed by my bloodline skill.
Just half a second later, three of them collapsed with their necks twisted.
They were dead.
Then, the shadow figure instantly escaped from the place. I was about to chase him, but Tristan quickly roared in rage and blocked my way.
"You bastard. How dare you kill my dogs."
Just like that, I began to clash with Tristan. I frowned in irritation. I was sure someone was interfering with me.
I glanced at the tree where Arthea had been leaning before. But now, I didn’t see anything.
She had vanished.
But it wasn’t over. A sound quickly rang out in my ears.
Ting!

[POV]: Henry.
I glanced back at the place where Tristan and Lancelot had been fighting before moving on.
I showed no happiness, nor any emotion at that moment.
My eyes were completely hollow as I looked up at the moon, then I slowly walked away.
It was a surprising situation, but I had exploited it to the maximum. The three guys I had just killed turned out to have [SS+] potential, so I earned 30 points right then.
So, I ran to escape from Lancelot. Anyway, Tristan and Lancelot were two enemies I couldn’t defeat at that moment.
Fleeing was always a good choice.
And my wife... I had transferred the remaining points to her so she could reach 100 points. She would complete her examination and get out of the virtual reality world. Carrying her was just a burden; it was better to help her reach 100 points.
I was sure she would be angry with me because I had done it without her consent.
I glanced at the ranking board. Now, there were only 1,302 candidates left. I had to be quick, otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to enter Class S with my wife.
3 hours later, I finally had earned 100 points to enter Class S. It wasn’t too difficult for me.
I opened my eyes and quickly pushed the outer shell open to step off the pod.
I glanced around, seeing everyone begin to gossip about my wife. Some people even went up to her pod to congratulate her.
A student said excitedly:
"I told you the strongest genius had returned. Now I feel sorry for her family. They should’ve thrown her away like trash."
Another student nodded.
"Yeah. She’s number one... Even though she’s crippled, her bloodline skill is enough to face anyone."
...
"Tsk. I’m jealous of her husband. How can he be so lucky to marry her? It should’ve been me."
A female student spat.
"He deserves it for staying by her side when she was at her worst. Don’t be jealous. I’m sure you would never marry her if her mana core was still shattered."
...
I just blinked for a moment before pushing the wheelchair toward her virtual reality pod. Everyone kept whispering about me, but I ignored their mixed reactions.
I glanced at my wife with empty eyes before lifting her up. She just stared at me and asked in an irritated voice:
"Why did you do this to me?"
I said calmly.
"Because it’s the best solution."
My wife clenched her jaw in anger before biting my arm, leaving teeth marks on it. Then she buried her face into my chest.
She murmured,
"I want you to keep carrying me like this."
I nodded in indifference, carrying my wife with one arm while pushing the wheelchair away with the other.
A few minutes later, I felt the fabric of my clothes growing damp where my wife was pressing her face into me, along with her soft, muffled sobs.
"I’m sorry for being a burden."
