Chapter 64: 64: Cows are strong, right?

Several weeks passed in the blink of an eye.

During that time, nothing particularly noteworthy happened.

Benny spent most of his time search for worthy investment to lose money.

Every now and then, however, news about Titan Manufacturing would appear.

And every single time it did, Benny would feel a wave of relief wash over him.

The company’s valuation had recently climbed to a staggering ¥960 million.

Compared to when Autumn Investment had invested, it was practically a different company altogether.

Thinking about it now, those who sold their shares back then must be absolutely furious.

A smile appeared on Benny’s face.

Then again, if I had used my own money instead of company funds, I probably would have been just as upset.

The thought amused him greatly.

Sitting across from him, Selena watched him sip the milkshake she had bought with her money once again.

"Benny."

"Hm?"

Selena looked at him suspiciously.

"How did you even lose all that money?"

Benny immediately looked away and Selena narrowed her eyes.

She was referring to the ¥4.6 million that had mysteriously vanished from his account.

To this day, she still couldn’t figure out what had happened.

Whenever she asked, Benny would either change the subject or pretend not to hear her.

The most frustrating part was that he genuinely seemed unconcerned about it.

At the very least, he had enough sense not to ask her for money.

Well... mostly.

He still occasionally begged her to buy him food.

But that was different.

What truly confused Selena was Benny’s attitude toward money lately.

Every time she suggested transferring some money to him for use, he would reject the idea with shocking determination.

Almost as if receiving money would kill him.

It made no sense.

From time to time, Selena occasionally caught Benny glancing at his phone.

Every time he did, he would look relieved.

A few moments later, he looked at it again.

Then immediately released a long breath.

Selena stared at him.

What exactly is he looking at?

She had tried peeking before.

Unfortunately, Benny always turned the screen away.

The behavior only made her more suspicious.

Did he secretly buy stocks?

Was he checking whether they had gone up or down?

Was that why he kept looking so nervous?

The more Selena thought about it, the more reasonable it sounded.

Otherwise, why would he react like that every time he checked his phone?

She continued observing him quietly, trying to uncover the truth.

Just then a notification appeared on Benny’s screen.

His eyes immediately lit up.

He stood up so quickly that Selena nearly jumped.

"Sister, he’s here."

Benny grabbed his drink and pointed toward the entrance.

"Let’s go."

Before Selena could ask another question, Benny had already begun heading toward the door.

The moment they stepped out of the cafe, Benny led the way toward the SUV parked nearby.

Selena followed behind him, still looking somewhat confused.

A few minutes later, the vehicle pulled away from the roadside and headed toward one of the city’s taxi pickup areas.

The place was crowded as people came and went constantly, some were dragging suitcases.

Others were carrying bags nearly as large as themselves.

As soon as the car entered the area, Benny began looking around through the window and then immediately spotted him.

"There."

Selena followed his gaze.

It was impossible to miss him.

A tall young man stood near the roadside with a large woven bag resting beside him.

He was looking around awkwardly, clearly unfamiliar with the city.

The moment Selena saw him, her eyes widened.

"Is that really Aunty Wang’s son? He looks way bigger now."

Benny immediately rolled his eyes.

"Of course he’s bigger. You haven’t seen him in nearly ten years."

Meanwhile, Wang Jun was still looking around uncertainly.

He had received Benny’s message earlier and had arrived exactly where he was told to wait.

The problem was that he hadn’t expected a vehicle to pull up in front of him.

As a result, he completely failed to recognize it.

Before he could continue searching, the passenger door suddenly opened and Benny stepped out.

"Wang Jun!"

Wang Jun immediately looked over and his eyes lit up.

"Benny!"

The two quickly walked toward each other.

Wang Jun instinctively reached out for a handshake.

Unfortunately, Benny remembered just how much stronger the other man was.

Rather than risking injury, he quickly changed the handshake into a pat on the shoulder.

"It’s been a while."

Wang Jun grinned.

"It really has."

Meanwhile, nearby pedestrians were already sneaking glances toward the vehicle.

Luxury cars naturally attracted attention.

Several people were secretly wondering which wealthy family had arrived.

Benny paid no attention to any of it.

Instead, he grabbed one side of Wang Jun’s luggage.

"Come on, I’ll help."

Wang Jun hurriedly shook his head.

"No need, I can carry it."

Benny ignored him.

The two lifted the luggage together and carried it toward the vehicle.

A moment later, the rear hatch opened and the luggage was placed inside.

After everything was loaded, Benny closed the hatch and nodded in satisfaction.

"Done."

Wang Jun looked at the spacious interior and suddenly became hesitant.

"I can really get inside the car?"

"Of course."

Benny opened the rear door for him.

Wang Jun carefully climbed inside.

The moment he sat down, his eyes widened slightly.

The seats felt softer than his bed back home.

Meanwhile, Benny walked around the vehicle and climbed into the front passenger seat.

Selena was already sitting behind the wheel.

She turned around slightly.

"Wang Jun, long time no see."

Wang Jun immediately sat straighter.

"Hello, Sister Selena."

The moment Wang Jun greeted her, Selena turned around and gave him a quick look.

Then she smiled.

"You’ve grown a lot taller."

Her gaze shifted toward the front passenger seat.

"You should take Benny with you and muscle him up as well."

Benny immediately turned around.

"Hey, that sounds weird." freewёbnoνel.com

Selena looked completely unconvinced.

"Does it?"

Wang Jun couldn’t help laughing.

The nervousness he had been carrying since arriving in the city finally began to fade.

Years might have passed, but some things hadn’t changed at all.

After thinking for a moment, he nodded seriously.

"Don’t worry, Sister Selena."

Then a grin appeared on his face.

"I’ll make sure Brother Benny becomes as fit as a cow."

Benny stared at him. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm

"What kind of compliment is that supposed to be?"

The car immediately filled with laughter.
