Chapter 255: Chapter 215: Lake View Nine and the Privileged Class
Back in his former B Level Student Apartment, Han Feng stood in the single-person suite he had lived in for the past few months.
Looking at the room he had just grown accustomed to, Han Feng felt a surprising pang of reluctance.
But when he thought about where he was going, there was no longer any reason to hesitate.
’Time to move.’
Han Feng didn’t waste any time.
Unlike a normal person, he didn’t look for cardboard boxes to pack or call for the school’s logistics transport robots.
With a mere thought.
His Divine Sense swept over the entire room.
The few changes of training uniforms in his closet, the copy of Mechanical Principles lying half-read on his nightstand...
WHOOSH!
The air distorted for an instant.
In that instant, all of Han Feng’s personal belongings vanished into thin air, settling quietly in a corner of the five-cubic-meter Void Stone.
The room was instantly empty, picked as clean as if it had been robbed.
’This spatial equipment is really handy for moving house.’
Han Feng took one last look at the familiar room, then turned, pushed open the door, and left.
...
The dedicated campus shuttle passed through multiple security checkpoints before entering a green zone, an extremely rare sight in this steel fortress of a university.
Celestial Water Lake.
This was an artificial lake within East Sea Martial Arts University. Though called artificial, it was actually built by expanding a natural spring from an underground Spirit Vein.
The water was crystal clear, and the air around it was vibrant with Spiritual Qi.
The shuttle came to a smooth stop in front of a standalone villa.
"Mr. Han, we’ve arrived at Lake View Nine."
The driver, an elderly veteran, was almost excessively respectful, even getting out to open the door for Han Feng.
Han Feng stepped out of the vehicle.
Even he couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at the sight before him.
It was a three-story modern building constructed entirely from white Spiritual Energy Isolation Material. Its large, one-way, floor-to-ceiling windows reflected the shimmering surface of the lake.
The front yard was a neatly trimmed lawn, while the backyard opened directly onto the lake, complete with a private dock where a small speedboat was moored.
The concentration of Spiritual Qi in the air was alarmingly high.
Without him even needing to actively circulate his Cultivation Technique, the vibrant Spiritual Qi Factors practically scrambled to seep into his pores.
’This concentration... it’s at least three times higher than the outside world.’
Han Feng estimated inwardly.
This was privilege.
Here, just breathing was a form of Cultivation.
"Mr. Han, welcome to your new home."
A gentle voice interrupted Han Feng’s thoughts.
The villa’s main door opened slowly, and a middle-aged man in an exquisite black tailcoat emerged.
His hair was combed immaculately, a professional smile graced his face, and his hands were folded before him as he gave a slight bow.
"I am the butler here. You may call me Old Liu."
"I am responsible for all the domestic services, security maintenance, and even your daily customized nutritional meals."
Old Liu’s voice was pitched at a moderate, pleasant tone that was easy on the ears.
Han Feng sized him up at a glance.
’Meridian Passage Realm Fifth Layer.’
’Damn. With that Cultivation, he could at least be a top captain at an external security firm, yet here he’s just a butler.’
’The depths of East Sea Martial Arts University are truly unfathomable.’
"Much appreciated."
Han Feng nodded and stepped toward the house.
"You’re too kind, Mr. Han. It is my honor to serve you."
Old Liu stepped to the side to lead the way, making introductions as they walked.
"Villa Nine is equipped with the latest ’Spirit Gathering III’ array. Once you authorize it on the main control panel, you can adjust the indoor Spiritual Qi concentration and Gravity parameters."
"Furthermore, the basement contains a separate, fortified Cultivation Chamber, which can withstand any attack below the Enlightenment Realm. You can practice your Martial Arts there with complete peace of mind."
The two of them walked into the living room.
High ceilings, luxurious yet tasteful décor, leather sofas, a full smart-home system...
In comparison, his previous one-room apartment was practically a slum.
Han Feng, however, was not particularly moved by any of this.
After experiencing life-or-death battles in the Secret Realm, such material comforts could only grant him a moment’s relaxation; they couldn’t stir his state of mind.
"Mr. Han."
Old Liu suddenly stopped, his tone becoming somewhat suggestive.
"Aside from the basic services, if you have... other needs, I can arrange for a few ’personal assistants’ for you."
"Personal assistants?"
One look at Old Liu’s eyes and Han Feng instantly understood the true weight of that term.
"They are all outstanding students from the College of Arts or the Department of Logistics Management. Top-tier in both looks and talent."
Old Liu lowered his voice, adopting the tone of a man in the know.
"Many A Level Students find their daily Cultivation monotonous. They need a bit of... recreation.
"For you, this is a perfectly legitimate privilege."
This, too, was part of the privilege.
In a world where the strong were revered, resources and beautiful women always flowed toward the peak of the pyramid.
Han Feng didn’t hesitate for even a second before shaking his head.
"Not necessary."
The rejection was curt and absolute.
Old Liu froze, clearly not expecting this young, hot-blooded up-and-comer to refuse so thoroughly.
"Mr. Han, they’ve all signed non-disclosure agreements. It’s perfectly safe..."
"I don’t like having strangers in my house."
Han Feng cut him off, his tone calm but leaving no room for debate.
"When I’m in Cultivation, I require absolute quiet."
’What a joke.’
’I have a system, and I frequently have to dabble in "illegal modifications" and "Black Technology research." ’
’If I brought a few "vases" home and they saw something they shouldn’t, would I have to silence them or not?’
’Besides, women only slow down the speed at which I draw my sword.’
’He couldn’t afford to indulge in such base pleasures at his current stage.’
"Understood."
The astonishment in Old Liu’s eyes dissipated, replaced by a hint of genuine respect.
’He shuns women, dedicating himself solely to arduous Cultivation.’
’No wonder he could cause such a stir at such a young age.’
