Chapter 165: We Should Save Them

The heroes all felt a chill run down their backs.

The exact entity they have been trying to avoid, and have been managing to do just that thanks to Urasmus’s expertise, was now headed their way.

Territory lords are beasts that have stepped fully into the paragon realm in the forest of no return.

Their strength is reflected by how much territory they hold control over.

Some can be at the early stage of paragon, and others can be as strong as peak paragon realm as well.... Or maybe even something more.

Ysera was strong for her level with her special intelligence, but the serpent wasn’t a territory lord... at least not yet.

The chasm between a peak grandmaster realm beast and a territory lord paragon realm was very vast.

Though the heroes could collectively tag team a late-stage grandmaster realm beast, and even a peak realm beast with some severe injuries.....

They couldn’t do the same for a territory lord who has stepped into the paragon realm.

They have been leveling up fast with their tag team kills of a few grandmaster realm beasts, but they were still a ways from becoming grandmasters themselves....

Because only when all heroes become grandmasters could they hope to stand against a paragon realm beast of at least the early stage...Anything higher might simply be suicidal.

That’s why Urasmus has led them through parts that completely avoid these territories, which was essencially where the paragon realm beasts feed, hunt, and grow without needing to intrude on other lord beasts’ territories.

But who would have thought that some unknown group would suddenly bring that exact threat to the heroes, who were completely unprepared for that type of entity.

"First off... who exactly are you people, and are you sure you are being hunted by an actual territory beast?!"

Urasmus stepped ahead of the group as he questioned the young man who had just spoken.

"We are a group of adventurers party out of the northern province of Ursula...

"....and it’s true.... It was definitely a territory beast we came across...."

"....Our party leader even had to....and Roan...he too...."

The young man explained as painful tears began to pour out of his eyes, and the other two looked just as broken.

It didn’t take much to figure out that this party leader of theirs and someone else who was probably also their party member had met a not-so-flowery end.

Seeing this, Urasmus and the other heroes eased off on the tenuous intimidation as Urasmus spoke once more....

"Sorry for your losses, but permit me to ask.... What realm was your squad leader in?"

Urasmus asked this question because their answer would solidly establish the fact that this group had actually come across a territory beast on their adventuring.

The reason for them venturing into the forest of no return without having enough experience or power to fall back on was not quite important at the moment.... If they are telling the truth, Urasmus needed to act fast.

"He was a peak grandmaster." The young lady among the trio responded to the question.

Instantly, Urasmus turns to the senior Knight captain as he said loud enough for all those present to hear....

"We have to go now!..... And we have to stay away from these people." He uttered in an urgent tone.

"What?.... You mean to leave them to die?!"

It was Andrew who spoke out in response to Urasmus’s sudden statement, mirroring the feelings of some of the other heroes.

After all, they could simply take them along and wouldn’t have to come across the territory beast as far as Urasmus was leading them through his expertise.

That’s what a few of them thought, and Andrew appeared most passionate about saving this group of down-on-their-luck adventurers.

"No.... you don’t understand, Hero of Blade.... these people..." Urasmus said to Andrew as he turned around to look at the kneeling trio of adventurers.

"It already has their scent... so ... whatever territory beast was after them, will never stop coming until their hunt is over."

As Urasmus spoke, the adventurers’ faces turned as white as a sheet, as images of how their party captain and tank were ripped to shreds played through their minds in horrific detail.

"Please!.... We beg you...help us please, that thing will kill us!!"

The second young man begged in a panic to Andrew, and just as he pleaded, he noticed the golden ring on Andrew’s finger bearing the sign of a blade.

"By the goddess!....you are heroes!....help us please, heroes!!" The young man begged more hopefully, seeing a sign of salvation since tales of heroes doing heroic things were not new in the world of Arleria.

The other young man joined in begging, and only the young lady was just sorrowfully quiet.

The reality of what Urasmus meant had just dawned on the heroes.

The longer they remained where they were, and the longer they remained around this group of people... it becomes a certainty that they would face a beast at the pragaion realm....

And they were certainly not prepared for that.

There was the saintess of course, whom most already know was a monster in disguise, but her real level of strength was unknown....

And whether she could actually take on the approaching disaster was another thing entirely.

There was also the fact that, letting the saintess act herself on this mission by allowing enough danger to get to her, would be a failure of their escort, of which they were informed would reflect negatively on them during the heroes summit event..... Whatever that means.

Andrew knew all of these facts, yet his heart was still set on helping this trio.

"I still think we should save them.... Isn’t that our roles as heroes in this world?" Andrew uttered passionately, but before he could say more.... Jacob cut in.

"Save them and endanger our lives... and the life of the saintess we are supposed to be protecting?....all for strangers we only met a minute ago? "

"I think you are wrong on this one, Andrew." He muttered, adjusting his glasses with one hand on the bridge of his long nose.

At jacobs words, the majority of the heroes nodded their heads in the sense of his statement.

Andrew can be, at times, a bit too altruistic, even in their home world.... And over in this world that has transformed into him being heroic.

But unlike the others leaning towards Jacob’s and Urasmus’s side..... Zorat was making a different observation.

Hmmm.... I see now. frёeωebɳovel.com

Why don’t I assist the golden boy with this ... Hehehe.

"Guys..." Caleb’s voice cut in calmly, before saying something that took most by surprise.

"I agree with Andrew....we should save them."
