Chapter 90: Work Like a Madman

Going back a few days in time.

In a place very, very far from where Priam was, there existed a universe of colossal proportions.

Its size was equivalent to all the universes of this world put together several times over.

Inside it, there was an almost infinite sea of galaxies. Darkness could barely be seen. Even in areas very far from any sun, a magical luminosity still existed.

Everything in that place was bathed in a permanent golden aura. There were no divisions of planes inside it. Any place was as good as any other. Just by breathing naturally on any planet, a beginner Mage could break through level after level in mere seconds.

The number of habitable planets in that world was infinite.

But on 99.99% of the planets there, no complex form of life lived.

Practically everything was taken over only by nature. In very few places, some selected Beast races existed.

On the few planets with people from the three great known types of races, the population was only a few million. And among them... there were thousands of legendary figures.

They were immortals.

That entire place was the immortal abode. Also known as the Celestial Plane.

And it was also the home of the six commanders of the world.

...

It was an ordinary day on all the planets of the Celestial Plane.

Until...

In the most incredible and terrifying region of six different planets.

"!"

Suddenly, six pairs of eyes opened. All of them widened in surprise.

On one of the planets, a male humanoid figure emerged in the void above a castle.

His appearance was covered by a subtle distortion. But when his presence appeared, it made all the humanoid Immortals on the planet jump up and immediately leave wherever they were.

All of them converged toward the castle at the greatest speed possible.

In less than a minute, when a little over 12 thousand immortals arrived near the castle, they looked up in sync, seeing the silhouette of a figure from very far away.

"We greet the Sovereign!!!"

In sync, all of them knelt and shouted in a thunderous chorus.

Silence.

The figure snorted and turned toward the ground.

"The Invader has appeared." His voice echoed calmly, in a serious tone.

All those immortals lost their breath. It had already been 18 years since they had searched through all the universes for any sign of him. Finally, his trail had been seen.

"It came from the Universe of the Chromaraic Scions. More precisely, from the Mortal Plane, in the region..."

He described an approximate area where almost ten galaxies existed. The number of planets there was absurd.

"Everyone must move," he said coldly, waving his hand afterward.

A small point of light appeared high above, shining like an emerald star. It quickly fell toward the people.

Through that light, everyone felt and recorded an energy signature in their minds.

"I recorded the karmic signature of his Bloodline when he interfered with the laws of the world a short while ago. Somehow, he subtly altered his Bloodline, possibly mixing it with one or more others. This makes it much harder to identify him while he is still alive. But he is still very weak, and so he gave us this chance to catch him."

"Completely seal the entire region and search every planet. When you find more than one race on the same planet with some subtle connection to this Bloodline signature... you already know what to do."

"YES!"

After he finished, everyone stood and roared.

Without waiting a single second, they took a step forward, and the space before them distorted. In one second, thousands of immortals disappeared from the Celestial Plane.

***

Back to the present.

Priam was focused on synthesizing his second Bloodline Rune inside his room.

The golden halo above his head pulsed.

Seconds later, he nodded, pulling out a pulsing rune. It was only a few centimeters long and glowed, alternating between bluish and black tones.

He stared at it seriously.

"Can I see the potential of the Bloodline Rune too?" he asked himself thoughtfully, since he had not tried that before.

Suddenly, a green window really appeared.

[Potential: Divine]

When he read that, he jumped in fright.

"Maximum potential!"

His heart sped up, filled with excitement. But he soon calmed down. After all, that was only the potential. It did not represent an immediate increase in power at that moment.

However, as he developed and became stronger, that maximum potential would be polished, becoming something terrifying in the long run.

Priam did not hesitate and absorbed it into himself. In seconds, the rune fused perfectly with his Bloodline.

Now, he had two anomalous mutations in his body!

"I can now use the Ancestral Art of my mother’s race... from what I understand, it’s something that can’t be used carelessly. But it can certainly be useful."

He reflected without caring too much. The Ancestral Art did not matter that much, because his mother’s Bloodline already gave him a greater affinity with the power of nature.

Now that he possessed the Primordial Pristine Core and could burn his Ether to create that energy, that Bloodline would greatly improve his control.

He could use the System’s Domain to do that, but it was too troublesome. Having to activate the System in the middle of battle every time he wanted to use it was not very efficient. Now, however, he no longer needed to worry about that.

Priam took a deep breath and then thought about the System’s improvements.

[Karmic Title]

[By interfering with the environment or the people around you in a special way, it is possible to acquire new Karmic Titles. Besides points, the moment this title appears, you may gain other incredible bonuses!]

Priam read everything without knowing what to think.

He was already used to training, studying, and forcing himself to talk to people to get his daily points. To him, that had become a satisfying habit.

"Fuck... I’m being manipulated..."

He was certain.

The System knew he would not stop training every day now. Besides, to get more points, he needed to increase people’s loyalty, so he also would not stop interacting with people.

Therefore, the System was removing those easy daily points.

It was as if Priam could not live in peace no matter what. Now, the System was clearly forcing him to actively seek great opportunities... or great problems.

"Well... whatever. I want to see the rest."

New screens appeared.

[Total: 3,235 Germination Points]

[04 Purchasable Abilities:] freeweɓnovel.cѳm

[4,000 GP] [Power Rune Storage +1]

[5,000 GP] [Training Amplifier EX]

[5,000 GP] [Divine Sense for Treasures]

[6,000 GP] [Divine Concealment]

Priam read everything excitedly.

"Training Amplifier EX? The number of points is also higher than it should be. I have to test this to know what changed."

The System did not give any note about those options, so it was clear that he would only know exactly what they were after buying them. But the name of everything was always very self-explanatory, and if there were some very important detail he needed to know, he would certainly be informed beforehand.

All the other options seemed useful, but, definitely, having +1 Power Rune to use was his priority.

He did not rush and thought about the rest.

[06 Transcendental Knowledges Available:]

[2,000 GP] [Complete Ancestral Art of one of your Bloodlines]

[3,000 GP] [Combat Mastery] [Level: Medium]

[4,000 GP] [Magic and Energies] [Level: Medium]

[4,000 GP] [Natural Elements] [Level: Medium]

[6,000 GP] [Synthesis] [Level: Medium]

[7,000 GP] [Catalyst] [Level: Basic]

Priam took a deep breath.

The medium-level knowledge was already expected to appear now. But the new ones...

"Complete Ancestral Art of one of my Bloodlines!"

A euphoric smile appeared on his face.

This was his main problem. He could create Bloodline Runes by absorbing other Bloodlines, but obtaining their Ancestral Arts was the most complex part. If he had had the Ancestral Art of the Eyes of the Wind at the beginning, for example, his life would have been a thousand times easier.

"I don’t know if my mother’s Ancestral Art is complete or not. But my other two are great purchase options."

He calmed down and then focused on the other new thing.

"Catalyst... that’s the name of Mages focused on creation. If I buy this knowledge, will I be able to create things like them? Interesting."

Priam snorted. Now, he had ten new things to buy, and each one seemed absurdly useful. Unfortunately, all of them cost an astronomical amount of GP.

Now, he could no longer just take it easy and live his life, earning points every day. All that was left for him was to work like a madman to achieve it all.
