Chapter 39: Chapter 39: I Have Her

Yue-Senn POV

My jaw was clenched so tightly that a sharp, rhythmic twitch struck the muscle right beneath my left eye. I sat there on the sheets, frozen in a state of sheer, sexual frustration and irritation.

The blood in my veins was absolute fire. My body was rigidly, hard, screaming at me for the release she had so effortlessly promised and then ripped away with a single clap of her hands. I stared at her, utterly incredulous. I couldn’t decide whether I wanted to choke her or throw her back onto the mattress and claim every magnificent inch of her until she forgot her own name.

But as the icy moonlight filtered through the open balcony windows, washing over her skin, a dark wave of disbelief washed over me.

I actually pulled it off.

She was here. Ryophlira, the fiercest, most volatile princess of the West, was officially my Queen. She was trapped in my kingdom, confined to my bedroom, sitting entirely unbothered in a chair wearing nothing but a white lace bra, matching underwear, and a pair of deadly high heels. She looked staggering a powerful, flawless Queen cloaked in midnight shadows, her mismatched blue and gold eyes blazing with a serious intensity that made my chest tighten with a toxic, possessive yearning.

Slowly, I rested my elbows on my knees, leaning my heavy frame forward as a low, gravelly laugh vibrated out of my throat.

"Honey," I rumbled, my voice thick with a dark, dangerous amusement, "if you wanted something from me, all you had to do was ask. You didn’t have to go through this entire elaborate charade... although, I must admit, I thoroughly enjoyed the show."

Ryophlira didn’t blink. She merely crossed her legs, the pale line of her thigh catching the silver light. "Well, darling, with a man like you, I can’t exactly trust that simply asking would yield any results. You still haven’t answered my question."

A wicked smile tugged at the corner of my lips. Every single time she speak those terms of endearment honey, darling with that razor-sharp, drippingly sarcastic tone, it did something to my heart. She wasn’t submissive. She was a match ready to strike against me.

I tilted my head, my eyes locked onto hers. "I agree to whatever you want. Just say it."

"I want you to build five greenhouses," she commanded smoothly, her voice cutting through the quiet room like steel. "One in each of the five regions you govern, and one right here in the capital. The one constructed here must be the largest. If your land cannot grow crop, I will personally become the North’s personal sun. Furthermore, I need to send an immediate word to the East."

I blinked, a green house is something I have never heard here in the North. But I was completely short-circuiting for a split second watching her like this . "What the hell is a ’green house’?" I asked, completely confused.

Ryophlira let out a soft, impatient breath, leaning forward. The shifting of her weight in that lace underwear sent a agonizing pulse straight to dick, I could feel it trying to make an apparences.

"It is a structural building made entirely of specialized glass or translucent material, designed to trap solar radiation and moisture inside," she explained, her voice dropping into a captivating, authoritative rhythm. "It creates a controlled, artificial ecosystem. Even in a perpetual arctic winter, a greenhouse will preserve the internal heat, allowing us to cultivate crops, vegetables, and medicinal flora year-round." freeweɓnovel.cѳm

She stood up from the chair, taking a slow, step toward the bed. "But I’m not just talking about growing a few herbs, Yue-Senn. I am talking about mass production to secure the North’s independent food supply. My light magic isn’t just for show. I will channel my solar aura directly into the central greenhouse’s core, creating a self-sustaining artificial sun that radiates localized heat. That heat will pipe through underground stone aqueducts to unfreeze the localized water reservoirs, providing a constant flow of fresh, running water for irrigation and the citizens. I don’t need your brains for it, darling. I just need your raw materials the lumber, the glass, and the iron. The soldiers my father just gifted us can provide the manual labor to build them."

I stared at her, the sheer brilliance of her mind striking me harder than any blade. My gaze slid down her bare stomach, then trailed back up to her burning eyes. I let out a sharp, breathless huff. "Normal women ask for gold, lavish dresses, shoes, and diamond jewelry."

"Well, I am clearly not normal," she countered, proudly as she stopped right at the edge of the mattress. "Is that not the exact reason you picked me, Yue-Senn?"

"Well played, my Queen," I murmured, my hand reaching out to wrap around her ankle, my thumb stroking the soft skin right above her heel. My hardness wouldn’t die down, if anything, the raw, powerful political intellect radiating off her only made the ache between my thighs worse. I wanted to devour her mind just as much as her body. "But forget the East. They will not answer. Don’t bother wasting a single crystal we don’t need them."

The silence stretched between us, thick and heavy.

"Wrong," she whispered, leaning down into my space so close I could smell the sweet vanilla on her skin. "The people of the East are historically a Kingdom of peace, yes, but they are a nation that will fight like demons when pushed to defend their kingdom. Their current silence is not a tactical retreat, Yue-Senn. It is a harbinger of war. Especially since my mother brutally executed their crown prince."

Right as she spoke the words, a faint, figure shift in the freezing air currents outside caught my attention. A lifetime in the brutal northern blizzards, instantly locked onto a subtle distortion in the shadows of the balcony.

Someone was standing out there behind the billowing white curtains, watching us.

I knew exactly who it was . The distinctive, heavy energy signature was unmistakable. But I didn’t say a damn word, nor did I let my gaze flicker to the window. Let them watch. Let them report back exactly what they saw. It only served my purposes to keep the illusion of our roaring passion absolute.

Before Ryophlira could even notice the draft, she reached down, sliding two slender, warm fingers right beneath my chin, forcefully lifting my head up so my eyes were forced to meet hers. The raw power in her touch made my breath hitch. She leaned down, her lips brushing the hair near my temple as she whispered directly into my ear.

"We are currently being watched," she breathed, her voice a barely audible vibration against my skin. "So let’s play along like we actually like each other."

A dark, feral grin broke across my face. Oh, you have no idea, my sweet queen.

"My pleasure, darling," I whispered back.

Reaching out with a swiftness, I grabbed her firmly by the lace of her underwear, placing my fingers in between the band and her skin pulling her down onto the bed. She gasped as I rolled, pinning her completely beneath my body. My hands trapped her wrists against the sheets right beside her head, our bodies locked together from chest to hip.

"Ki-ri will take care of the spy," I growled, my face inches from hers, my chest heaving against her bra. "Consider it done. Now, where were we?"

Driven by a raw, primal yearning, I leaned down to kiss her in a bruising kiss, but Ryophlira was faster. She sharply turned her head to the side, avoiding my lips, though her breath hitched loudly against my neck. With a sudden, surge of her strength, she grabbed the heavy fur blankets beneath us, twisting her body and rolling with a hard momentum.

Within a heartbeat, she flipped the script again, pinning me flat on my back while she pulled the thick covers completely over both of our heads, trapping us in a dark, suffocatingly hot tent of fur.

"You are making it really damn difficult to resist you right now," I whispered hoarsely under the dark covers, the scent of her skin entirely consuming my senses as she straddled my waist.

"Don’t even think about it," she hissed back, though she didn’t move off me, her palms flat against my chest, holding me down.

"We have to make an heir eventually, darling," I smirked, my hands sliding up to cup the bare skin of her outer thighs under the blanket, squeezing gently. "The spies outside expect a show, and I am a very thorough actor."

"It is not my fault you fabricated a blatant lie about a child on the altar," she fired back, her eye flashing dangerously in the dim shroud of the blanket, though her hips shifted slightly against mine. "I would rather die than bring your child into this world."

"Is that a dare, wife?" I whispered, my thumb caressing her hip, my heart pounding with a dangerous, thrill. "Because I am more than willing to start trying right now."

Suddenly, a sound tore through the palace.

It was a piercing, blood-curdling scream a raw, unnatural shriek that sounded entirely unhuman, echoing from the jagged mountains outside and rattling the glass panes of the windows.

The heavy sexual tension vanished in an instant, replaced by a cold, adrenaline.

Together, we violently threw off the heavy blankets, sitting up straight in the center of the bed. Our eyes shot instantly to the massive, open balcony windows, staring out into the dark, moonlit pine forest. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com

"What the hell was that?" Ryophlira asked, her voice dropping all sarcasm, her aura sparked defensively around her fingers.

"The dead," I replied, my voice turning instantly cold and clinical as I swung my legs over the edge of the bed. " I have to go."

Before my feet could even fully grip the floor, Ryophlira grabbed a fistful of my unbuttoned shirt. "You are not leaving me here by myself," she demanded, her voice tight.

I paused looking down at her in my lap. A small, mocking smirk touched my lips despite the danger outside. "Feeling scared, my Queen?"

"Fuck yes, you dumbass!" she snapped glaring at me with raw fury. "I am in a freezing, foreign kingdom with the literal dead roaming and screaming outside, and I know absolutely no one here! You are not leaving me."

A strange, unfamiliar warmth bloomed deep in my chest at her demanding words. I didn’t hesitate. Wrapping my massive arms completely around her smaller frame, pulling her flush against my chest into a tight, crushing hug. I leaned down, pressing a firm, lingering kiss straight onto the top of her knotted hair.

"Don’t worry," I murmured against her crown, my voice dropping into a deep, absolute vow. "You are infinitely more dangerous to them than they will ever be to you."

I pulled back slightly, my eyes dropping down the length of her bare, lace-clad body, the suffocating lust returning with a vengeance as I felt the warmth of her thighs against mine.

"But I promise you... I won’t go anywhere tonight," I whispered, my voice dropping to a low. "However, I am going to need you to get off of me and put some actual clothes on right now... or I swear to God, Ryophlira, I am going to follow through with exactly what I said at the palace, and fill every single inch of you with my cum."

Ryophlira’s eyes widened, a furious, dark blush rushing to her cheeks.

Outside, completely concealed beneath the billowing white curtains in the freezing arctic wind, the dark, silent shadow stood perfectly still watching the new King and Queen through the glass, entirely unaware that I had known they were there from the very beginning.
