Chapter 867: Chapter 867. Final Slash
Kailen locked gazes with the six vimodial seats.
The Will of the Universe appeared close to him.
She stared at the six vimodial seats with animosity.
They stared at her with pride and disdain.
"Time to end this." To everyone else, from the Sages, to the members of the Lord Council, to everyone in the chaotic region, it seemed they were talking to Kailen Darkhaven, since they could not see the Will of the Universe.
But... the words of the six vimodial seats were directed towards the Will of the Universe.
A glint flashed through Sage Ling Feng’s eyes.
The principle undulations coming from these vimodials proved that they were rank 7 expert stage transcendents. How was this even possible?
These fellows were a threat to the whole universe! They were vimodials.
Only the Transcendent Primarch could stand a chance against them.
He knew that whatever battle was about to ensue between these unknown vimodials and the Transcendent Primarch was not something they could handle. Just the shockwaves could kill them.
He gestured to everyone to leave the place. Everyone understood things from his train of thoughts too.
Far from a distance, they observed Primarch Darkhaven and the six vimodials standing at opposite ends.
Everyone in the chaotic region was observing this battle.
These unknown vimodials were most likely the strongest vimodials in the universe.
They were about to face Kailen Darkhaven, the Transcendent Primarch.
If Kailen Darkhaven died....
No one dared to even imagine the outcome of such an occurrence...
The Will of the Universe nodded towards Kailen and disappeared.
Kailen faced them.
No words were needed.
The six vimodial seats held hands.
Then something happened.
Their figures became like water and flowed into one another.
Then something ancient and primal stood.
A very tall humanoid figure with deep hollow eyes and grey hair.
With scales running across its figure.
This was how the six vimodial seats looked when they merged.
The figure pointed its hand forward.
First, a spatial Phoenix bloomed to life. It dwarfed the size of anything anyone had ever seen before.
The spatial Phoenix shot towards Kailen.
Kailen’s figure blinked.
Something overlapped with his figure.
It was an ethereal silhouette of himself. But the silhouette seemed animated, alive. The silhouette caused the void to meld and twist.
The silhouette towered above everything, dwarfing everything.
Kailen’s figure appeared before the spatial Phoenix.
He brought his hand down. The silhouette overlapping his figure brought its hand down too.
The spatial Phoenix and the hand of the spatial silhouette clashed.
Celestial bodies 20,000 light-years from the vicinity were reduced into smithereens as the void morphed and warped in the wake of the clash between the two attacks.
The spatial Phoenix stood.
The spatial silhouette was stable. Unmovable.
Kailen stood firm.
The primal figure of the six vimodial seats smiled.
"Let’s go all out," they agreed.
Gravity, Wind, Darkness, Fire, Water.
These principles bloomed across the place, causing everyone watching to be shocked.
Along side the principle of space already revealed...
Six principles... how...
Then it occurred to everyone. These six vimodials had merged with one another, into the primal figure battling with the Transcendent Primarch.
The streams of the principles transformed into phoenixes of their own kind, and merged with the spatial Phoenix. A Phoenix with an ethereally threatening vibe appeared.
The Phoenix of six principles turned into a colossal malevolent Ouroboros serpent.
"They are going all out, Kailen. It seems they no longer underestimate your power. Don’t hold back," the voice of the Will of the Universe rang in Kailen’s mind.
"I know," Kailen nodded.
The large ethereal spatial figure surrounding Kailen grew more solid, with armor all across its being.
A very large spatial katana appeared in the hand of the ethereal spatial figure.
Kailen swung his hand.
The ethereal figure overlapping his being with the large spatial katana swung the spatial katana.
The large Ouroboros serpent formed from six principles shot towards the ethereal figure’s large spatial katana headed towards the primal being.
Kailen used emotional resonance.
"A feint," he thought.
They wanted to use the principle of space to teleport the Ouroboros serpent into his blind spot and kill him, huh.
Kailen had seen through their plan.
But he played along.
The large Ouroboros serpent and the spatial katana came down on each other, then clashed into each other.
The void folded in and out, then spiraled outwards.
Spatial folds spread everywhere.
World-ending shockwaves followed.
Celestial bodies millions of light-years across the vicinity turned into ashes.
Everyone watching the battle was shocked.
What power was this...
Then, a glint flashed through the eyes of the primal figure.
"Now," the six vimodial sixths thought in unison.
The large Ouroboros serpent did not push through the spatial katana. It disappeared.
Kailen smiled.
The large spatial katana slashed at a strange angle.
It was as if it had not moved.
It met the Ouroboros serpent, screeching towards Kailen’s back.
The spatial katana cleaved through the Ouroboros serpent and turned it into smithereens.
The spatial katana did not stop.
It cleaved through the void, appearing in the line of vision of the six vimodial seats—the primal creature.
Then before the primal figure they had turned into could react, the spatial katana cleaved through them.
The primal figure they had turned into was starting to turn into smithereens.
Kailen heard their thought transmissions in his head, their voice directed at the Will of the Universe.
The six vimodial seats smiled.
"So we were never your match, wench."
"It seems your champion was more powerfully scheming and calculating than we thought. To think he’d see through our final move. Tsk. How terrifying."
"Kailen Darkhaven, huh. We have no regrets."
"We lost."
"The universe was too boring anyway. Our death is more fitting than living after tasting this level of defeat."
"You chose an excellent person, wench."
After that, their figures turned into ashes.
"We did it, Kailen," the Will of the Universe said.
Kailen sighed. It was as if a heavy burden had been lifted off his shoulders.
Now, Arrie and everyone he cared about would be safe.
"Indeed, golden finger," Kailen replied to her through thought transmission.
Everyone across the universe was silent.
By now, the videos of the battle had reached the edge and light regions.
Kailen’s loved ones, who had been watching from the edge of their seats, finally relaxed.
As for Arrie, who knew the secret of the six vimodial seats and the Will of the Universe, tears were falling from her eyes. She knew the implications of the death of the six vimodial seats. The universe would forever be peaceful.
Vimodials would cease to exist.
News started to spread across the chaotic region, the edge region, and the light region.
Vimodials were disappearing into ashes.
Footage with proof everywhere.
Across frontlines.
Across domains.
Across alleys.
Across empires.
They were disappearing.
Eventually, no vimodial could be seen in the universe.
Not in the chaotic region. Not in the light region. Not in the edge region.
That was when it occurred to everyone.
They connected the dots.
No one told them anything or revealed any hidden secret to them. But it was obvious.
The vimodials the Transcendent Primarch fought were definitely the first vimodials to exist in the universe.
Their deaths had caused every other vimodial to cease to exist.
Everyone looked at the figure floating calmly somewhere in the void in the chaotic region.
Looks of awe. Reverence. Worship. Tears.
Respect.
How long had it been since vimodials plagued the universe?
Families had been lost.
Worlds destroyed. Hearts broken. Empires had fallen. All because of the vimodials.
They were now gone.
The universe had entered a new era.
Everyone in the universe across everywhere bowed.
Everyone was paying their respects to the Transcendent Primarch! Kailen Darkhaven!
He had ushered the universe into a new era!
An era free of vimodials!
Kailen turned to look at Ling Feng and company. Many of them were crying.
Ling Feng lifted his eyes.
"Thank you, Primarch. Vimodials killed my wife."
Kailen sighed.
He looked at everyone, who had similar looks like that of Ling Feng.
He was not a hero.
He did not do what he did for them.
It was personal. His loved ones, and Arrie.
But he did not bother explaining.
He simply nodded, warmly.
"It’s time to go home," Kailen muttered, a glint of longing flashed through his eyes.
"Transcendent Primarch."
Someone appeared before Kailen.
"Julian. That’s cringe, don’t call me that," Kailen sighed.
"Whatever, man," Julian shook his head.
"Hehe. That’s more like it," Kailen replied.
Kailen turned to Sage Ling Feng and everyone of the Sages and Lords. He nodded towards them and disappeared with Julian.
Even after he left, their figures still remained in bowed postures!
