Chapter 796: Chapter 796. Wyverns.
Floating above the volcanic stream, Kailen was currently thinking on how to proceed. He decided to study the dragons to see if there was a way for him to scout the mountains without being noticed by them.
After studying them for a while, he realized that there was no other way around things. He had to take a risk and activate the principle of space to scout the mountains.
Kailen activated the principle of space. He scouted the mountains. On scouting the mountains, Kailen realized that none of the dragons noticed him.
"Looks like I was worried for nothing. None of them have the principle of space, so they won’t be able to notice me. This is good. I can at least study the environment and find a way forward," Kailen thought.
He studied the pattern of the mountains in detail with the principle of space. In the centre of each mountain were several volcanic lakes. Eventually, the volcanic lakes would churn, rise and overflow, spilling across the mountains.
Kailen, however, noticed something more important. Several dragons were floating at the centre of each volcanic lake in each mountain. Occasionally, they would glide in and out of the volcanic lake as if they were having a bath. Their eyes were intimidating. Several ethereal-looking, stone-like fragments floated just above the volcanic lakes. These were the principle fragments. The dragons ignored the principle fragments as if they had no importance to them.
Kailen sucked in a breath of cold air. Aside from the dragons circling above each of the mountains, there were also some floating right on the volcanic lakes where the principle fragments were?
One thing Kailen noticed, too, was that even the dragons floating above each mountain naturally circled around only that mountain, and did not leave to other mountains. It was like they viewed the mountain they were on as their natural habitat and didn’t see the need to move to another one.
"The seventh mountain has the space principle fragments. Even from here, I can feel the spatial fluctuations pulsing from the space principle fragments. If only it were possible to form a connection with the space principle fragments from here. However, it’s not possible. I need to be at where the principle fragments are to form a connection with them."
Kailen’s eyes glinted with a decisive light. Despite the risks involved, he could not let such an opportunity pass him by. He had to find a way to get to the space principle fragments on the seventh mountain without being noticed by the dragons. The only way he seems that possible was to find a way to get the dragons on the seventh mountain away from the seventh mountain without revealing himself.
Kailen was in thought. He would proceed with this plan. It was the safest option. Just because he wanted to have access to principle fragments did not mean he wanted to throw his life away.
"How do I get the dragons on the seventh mountain to leave the seventh mountain without exposing myself?" Kailen mused. "What creatures do dragons naturally hate?"
Kailen thought back to the simulations and adventures he used to have in the pocket world when he was in the light region of the universe, before he became a transcendent. He had hunted and encountered a lot of creatures, including dragons, way back in the pocket world when he was in the light region of the universe before he became a transcendent.
A smirk appeared on his lips. He remembered.
"Wyverns. Dragons treat them like their inferior cousins and naturally hold them in contempt. If a wyvern appears several kilometers away from a dragon, a dragon would naturally want to kill it," Kailen thought. "I need to find wyverns."
Kailen disappeared from the northern mountains. He reappeared at a different place in the secret realm. When he was coming to the northern mountains, he passed here and noticed a couple of rank 4 novice stage chaotic beasts here. They were wyverns. He remembered he was stronger than them. This meant that he could use them for his plan because he was not at a risk of getting killed by them. He could freely lure them to the vicinity near the seventh mountain without getting killed by them in the process. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
Kailen hid himself somewhere and studied the place. Eventually, a horde of wyverns appeared. They numbered 200. They were all at the rank 4 novice stage transcendent level.
Kailen decided it was time to act. He appeared openly before the wyverns and launched a space principle attack towards one of them, killing them in the end.
The moment the wyverns noticed him, glints of coldness flashed through their eyes. This puny creature dared to kill one of them? They launched several principle attacks towards the fellow. However, the creature kept evading their attacks. They saw the weird-looking creature turn around and turn to run.
The wyverns would not let him escape. They followed him. Anytime they launched an attack towards him, he would evade the attacks. The wyverns grew increasingly incensed, flying across the whole place, following after the vermin that killed one of them.
If anyone saw this, they would have been surprised. A group of about 199 wyverns flew across the red skies, following a creature that looked like a tiny dot compared to them, attempting to kill him. Some of the wyverns would launch fire principle attacks; others would launch ice, water, wind, darkness, and other principle attacks towards the fellow, but he narrowly evaded their principle attacks with uncanny precision.
Kailen’s eyes were calm as the wyverns followed after him. Instead of fear, a glint of relief flashed across his eyes. He couldn’t help but look forward to having access to all those space principle fragments on the seventh mountain.
Eventually, Kailen and the group of wyverns arrived in the vicinity of the northern mountains. He branched a little, and approached the seventh mountain’s direction a little bit. The wyverns naturally followed after him.
Suddenly, the wyverns saw that the vermin they were trying to kill had disappeared completely.
Then... a draconic roar shook the seventh mountain as several dragons from the seventh mountain stared in their direction. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
Kailen, hiding away from the location, nodded.
"Checkmate."
