Time passed and now the huge worm could be seen moving underground.
Just a few minutes ago, the death worm had smelled the strong scent of fresh blood from the goblin cave and come looking for food.
Now it had returned deep into Blacksand Forest after having a huge feast that it rarely enjoyed in a month.
With what it had eaten today, the worm was pleased, satisfied enough to last another month or two.

But while it was feeling happy as it returned, a huge pair of hands made entirely out of mana pierced out from the side of the worm’s body.
This instantly caused the worm to cry out in pain.
But Austin used all his strength to drag himself out of the wailing monster.
The giant worm screamed in even more pain as its long segmented body twisted violently on the black sandy ground.
Meanwhile, Austin rolled away quickly while still covered in slime.
He began breathing heavily as he realised his clothes were now covered in sticky worm fluids and blood.
The worm was enormous.
Its body was thick like a large tree trunk and covered in hard, dark, armour-like skin.
Even its mouth was a huge round hole full of sharp rotating teeth, and right now it looked really angry.
It instantly recognised the source of its pain and charged straight at Austin.
It moved fast through the black sand like a snake through water.
But Austin quickly created his giant mana arms, making them even bigger.
He dodged to the side at the last moment and punched really hard with all his power.
The mana arms punched deep into the worm’s side and greenish blood sprayed out.
The worm screamed louder and whipped its body around, trying to smash Austin.
The force of the attack instantly sent Austin flying into a dead black tree.
He crashed hard against it and felt pain all over his back.
"Argh..!!!" He groaned in pain before trying to remain calm.
’This thing is tough...’ Austin muttered in his thoughts as he stood up quickly.
Then he created two more mana hands and used them to hold the worm’s body in place.
Seeing that he had successfully done this, Austin jumped high and brought his initial two mana arms down on the worm’s head with full force.
The punch crushed cleanly through the monster’s neck and its huge head fell to the ground with a loud thud.
The rest of the worm’s body twitched a few times before it finally stopped moving.
Meanwhile, Austin stood there breathing heavily before bending over to rest his hands on his knees.
’I killed it.’ Austin muttered in his thoughts, still finding it hard to believe he had just killed something so big and powerful.
Right now he felt like one of the game characters he had built in his previous world.
The feeling of facing something seemingly impossible and coming out on top felt really good, and he couldn’t help but grin at his accomplishment.
But just when he thought he could relax and enjoy his triumph over the death worm, Austin finally noticed something very important.
The air within this part of the forest was dark in colour.
It felt very dense and suffocating as well.
In fact, it smelled like rotten eggs mixed with the scent of something long dead.
No, more like, it smelled as though he had been dropped into a pit full of rotten bones and decaying bodies.
This smell instantly began to hurt his lungs.
He started coughing badly, and at first it felt like just a normal cough, but the more he coughed, the more Austin realised it was getting worse.
The skin on his fingertips began to tear open as well, and now small cracks began to appear on his arms.
It was as though the skin on his arms was splitting apart, with blood seeping out from each crack.
Meanwhile, his eyes had turned red and bloodshot, and he felt like his insides were burning, causing Austin to drop to one knee as he kept coughing nonstop.
It was now extremely hard to breathe, and the system screen had appeared in front of him with red warning signals.

However, standing up and running away was easier said than done.
Right now his legs felt weak and his whole body was in terrible pain.
It felt like fire was burning him from the inside out, but while he was struggling to force himself to move, the system screen glowed again with a new message.

Seeing this, Austin couldn’t help but look puzzled.
But before he could voice out what the system meant, he suddenly felt several invisible things touching his skin.
It felt like dozens of tiny mosquitoes were having a taste of him all at once.
The pain was immense and the itching felt unbearable.
But when he tried scratching his arms and neck, it did nothing to make the pain go away.
Instead, the bites kept coming.
Austin was in so much pain that he thought he would die here.
His face instantly twisted with regret as he pondered on why he had even wanted to leave the mansion in the first place.
He should have simply stayed with his beautiful Nora, raining kisses on her face and their baby’s.
He should have been satisfied with that kind of life until she was ready to deliver.
But instead, he had wanted to test how strong he could be.
Now he began to regret leaving the mansion, and he feared he would never see Nora again.
In fact, he was afraid that he would be dying for a second time, and there was nothing he could do about it.
But just when he thought all hope was gone, Austin suddenly heard a female voice sounding inside his mind.
