On the way to Jiangxin Beach Playground, Xu Xiangbei received a call from Jenny: "You little rascal, why did you run off? It’s all because of you that I almost got into a fight with that girl."

Usually, there’s a decent crowd of visitors; during holidays, it gets even more crowded. The amusement park also has some villas for rent halfway up the mountain.

In a villa within a high-walled compound, four strong men were playing mahjong, while David’s mom, Auntie Dai, was lying in a bed in one of the rooms.

Auntie Dai, around fifty, with graying hair, had been crying for a while. Seeing that they didn’t harm her, only confining her, she gradually felt relieved.

The windows were fitted with protective bars, and the door was locked tight. She couldn’t escape. She shouted to the outside: "Young man, can I get a drink of water? Auntie thanks you."

At six in the evening, the football game between Qinghai Club and Sichuan Club will be over, and the outcome decided, so there’s no need to keep Auntie Dai to threaten David.

The man didn’t answer Auntie Dai, instead pointing to a television: "There’s a TV here. If you’re bored, you can watch it."

Having said that, the man slammed the door shut and returned to the mahjong table to continue playing.

Auntie Dai figured she’d have to stay here until six in the afternoon, so she turned on the TV to pass the time.

Xu Xiangbei and the two others arrived at Jiangxin Beach Playground. The playground, spanning nearly a hundred acres, was full of people. Where could they even start looking for Auntie Dai?
