Chapter 560: Chapter 560: Mistaken Identity

The man heard Song Yuting’s voice and slowly turned around, an enchanting smile on his handsome face.

When Song Yuting clearly saw the other person’s face, her smile froze. This man was not Xu Xiangbei; she had mistaken him. Maybe she wanted to see Xu Xiangbei so much that just by looking at his back, she thought it was him.

The handsome man handed the flowers to Song Yuting, with a smug smile: "Old classmate, you can’t just have a meal, you have to receive flowers too."

Although this person wasn’t Xu Xiangbei, Song Yuting’s address was not wrong; he was Ge Fei, Song Yuting and Xu Xiangbei’s high school classmate, and also the class monitor.

Song Yuting reluctantly accepted the flowers, awkwardly smiling, "So it’s the class monitor, do you have something to discuss with me?"

Ge Fei’s eyes were filled with deep affection: "Can’t I come to see you if there’s nothing to discuss? Although we’re no longer at the same school, we’re in the same city, and we’re hometown friends. I don’t have class today, so I came to see you."

In high school, both he and Song Yuting were top students, one a wealthy handsome guy, the other a talented beauty, causing many classmates to go wild about them.

Ge Fei had always had a crush on Song Yuting. Once, he even fought Xu Xiangbei over her but was no match for Xu Xiangbei and got beaten up quite badly.

During the years he studied in Earth Sea, he frequently visited Song Yuting, but she had no feelings for him. To make him give up, she even pretended to date Sun Ze.

He nervously said, "Then let’s eat off-campus. How about the Yu Hai Pavilion Grand Hotel, not far from your school?"

Song Yuting rubbed her head, her face pale, and weakly said, "I’m sorry, I’m not feeling well and don’t want to have lunch. I want to go back to the dorm and rest."

Xiao Qing chased up from behind, seeing Song Yuting with Ge Fei. Knowing Song Yuting too well, she realized from her cold expression that Song Yuting wasn’t pleased with Ge Fei’s arrival.

Xiao Qing silently thought to herself how these matters of the heart were incomprehensible. They were all classmates, and Ge Fei was no less handsome than Xu Xiangbei, yet Song Yuting felt nothing for Ge Fei.

What’s more, Ge Fei’s persistence was admirable. He had pursued Song Yuting for four years without giving up. If he pursued me like that, I would have said yes in just one year.

Seeing that Song Yuting was ignoring his invitation, Ge Fei almost knelt, saying, "If you’re not feeling well, you should eat something, or you’ll feel weaker. No matter what, you should eat something. I’ve come all the way from Earth Sea University just for this."

As the scene grew increasingly awkward, Xiao Qing stepped in to smooth things over. Ge Fei often came looking for Song Yuting, and Xiao Qing knew his name.

She smiled and said to Ge Fei, "So it’s Ge Fei. You’re here to see Ting Ting again. I heard you and Ting Ting were high school classmates?"

"Yes, Ting Ting and I were high school classmates."

"Do you know a Xu Xiangbei from your high school?"

Song Yuting had a premonition that when Xiao Qing mentioned high school classmates, she was bringing up Xu Xiangbei to Ge Fei. She wanted to stop her but was too late. She glared at Xiao Qing.

Xiao Qing was indeed meddlesome. Ge Fei and Xu Xiangbei were not on good terms in high school and had fought over her. Ge Fei detested Xu Xiangbei and disliked hearing his name.

Ge Fei asked in surprise, "How do you know about Xu Xiangbei?"

All these years, Ge Fei hadn’t heard Xu Xiangbei’s name. Song Yuting knew of their tense relationship and never mentioned him to Ge Fei. Yet, here was Xiao Qing, blurting it out.

Song Yuting kept giving Xiao Qing meaningful looks. Xiao Qing understood her mistake and knew she shouldn’t have mentioned Xu Xiangbei: "I saw it in Ting Ting’s graduation photo. You were on it too, looking quite dashing."

Ge Fei glanced at Xiao Qing, knowing she was lying. He turned to Song Yuting with an awkward smile, and suspiciously asked, "Ting Ting, what made you think of Xu Xiangbei? Did he come looking for you?"

Feeling like a child who had gotten into trouble, Xiao Qing awkwardly slipped away, leaving Song Yuting standing bewildered in the wind, facing Ge Fei’s questioning.

Song Yuting knew if Ge Fei found out Xu Xiangbei was in Earth Sea, he wouldn’t stop questioning. She shook her head, saying, "No, he’s back home. Why would he come here to see me?"

Just at that moment, a magnetic voice sounded behind Song Yuting, "What am I hiding from? I’m right here, in Earth Sea, what’s the problem?"

Xu Xiangbei appeared before Song Yuting with a smile. Song Yuting almost wanted to punch him several times; jerk, why are you only showing up now? You didn’t even call all morning.

She could only stifle her complaints, facing both Ge Fei and Xu Xiangbei in front of her. She forced a smile to ease the tension, hoping they wouldn’t fight: "Haha, Xu Xiangbei, you’re here too. What a coincidence, the three of us old classmates are meeting here. Hometown friends meet, and eyes fill with tears."

Ge Fei looked at Xu Xiangbei in a daze, his expression extremely strange, constantly changing—surprise, loathing, curiosity. A sinister glint flashed in his eyes. As he feared, the worst had happened.

This guy finally couldn’t stay at home and came here to find Song Yuting.

Ge Fei laughed, pretending to be gracious, extending his hand, "Long time no see, old classmate."

Since the other person was extending a hand so graciously, he couldn’t appear petty. After all, past student conflicts shouldn’t be held onto forever.

Xu Xiangbei warmly grasped Ge Fei’s hand, "Big class leader, you also took the exam to come to Earth Sea. Which university are you at?"
