Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Trading platform
The Universal Chat had become livelier than ever before.
An overwhelming influx of messages surged across the interface, flooding the chat so quickly that even the familiar regulars were buried beneath the endless stream. Thousands of messages flashed past every second, each one carrying another transaction, request, or offer from gods whose worlds had already begun developing in wildly different directions.
MilkyWay: Anyone have Deep-Evolved Magic Stones in their world? Willing to trade.
Calamity: Buying Stellar Iron. Paying above market price.
DragonHeart: Looking for Fire Essence. My volcano collapsed again...
PhoenixAsh: Selling Phoenix Ash. Limited quantity. First come, first served.
Verdant: Does anyone have World Saplings? Mine all died after a meteor shower.
SeaKing: Trading Leviathan Scales for high-grade ores.
AbyssWalker: Buying Light Crystals. Don’t ask why.
Celestia: Looking for Divine Silk. GM me.
IronForge: Anyone selling Mithril Veins?
FrostQueen: Exchanging Glacial Water for Lava Cores.
Nebula: Need five Spirit Fruits. Urgent.
TitanMaker: Does anyone know how to increase mountain density naturally?
Sunflare: My world is becoming a desert... any advice?
Moonlit: Purchasing Moonstone Dust.
Chronos: Selling Time Acceleration Tickets.
HeavenlyBee: My Queen Bee evolved again. Anyone interested in Royal Honey?
MilkyWay: Still buying Deep-Evolved Magic Stones.
Volcano quietly watched the endless torrent of messages race across his vision.
As each god’s world continued to mature, so too did their desire to shape and improve it. Resources unique to one world gradually became priceless treasures to another, and before anyone had even realized it, an entire economy had begun taking shape among the gods. Buying, selling, bargaining, and exchanging resources had become as natural as breathing.
His gaze swept across the rapidly moving chat, searching for the familiar usernames of the small group he had spoken with before.
Unfortunately...They had long since disappeared beneath the endless flood of conversations.
’Everyone’s busy buying and selling..Are their worlds really that developed already?’
From Volcano’s perspective, only a little over a day had passed since Godcraft Genesis officially launched it’s seventh Universe.
’Surely they can’t be that far ahead of me.’
Yet the chat told a completely different story.
Some were discussing evolved resources.
Others were already suffering natural disasters, ecosystem collapses, and shortages of rare materials. Some had apparently progressed far enough to establish entire trade networks.
’Then how do they already possess so many resources worth trading?’
His brows gradually knitted together.
’...I’ll just ask them.’
Just as Volcano was about to type a message into the Universal Chat, a translucent notification suddenly appeared before him.
[You have received a God Message from Goddess Nova.]
"Nova?"
Volcano blinked in surprise.
’I’ve never seen that username in the Universal Chat before...’
His eyes drifted toward the title beneath the notification.
’And it says... Goddess?’
For some reason, he instinctively straightened his posture.
’S-Some girl is messaging me...? I wonder what she wants...’
Without another thought, Volcano opened the private chat.
Nova: Hello there, fellow God. Can we talk for a moment?
Volcano: S-Sure... what do you want to talk about?
Nova: You see, my planet is covered entirely in ice. Unlike most players, who simply melt the glaciers and reshape the landscape into something more ordinary, I decided to preserve its natural beauty. But because of that, my species only has a handful of habitable geothermal regions.
Nova: So... I was wondering if we could trade.
Volcano: Trade?
Nova: Mm.
Nova: I heard your world possesses an abundance of magma. If I could obtain a stable source from you, I could create additional heat zones without destroying my planet’s appearance. In exchange, I can offer resources unique to my world.
Nova: Here, take a look.
Several images were attached to the conversation.
The first depicted an endless world of white. Towering mountains of crystal ice pierced the heavens while ribbons of emerald auroras danced across a sky overflowing with stars. Frozen oceans stretched endlessly toward the horizon, their mirror-like surfaces reflecting the celestial lights above. Unlike the violent and ever-changing landscape of Volcan, the entire world radiated a breathtaking serenity.
The second image displayed a settlement nestled amidst the frozen wilderness. Instead of wooden houses or caves carved into stone, magnificent structures sculpted entirely from translucent blue ice stood proudly beneath the northern lights. Warm golden light glowed behind crystalline walls while thin streams of steam escaped from deep fissures beneath the city, revealing the geothermal springs that sustained life amidst the eternal winter.
The third image left Volcano momentarily speechless.
Enormous glaciers towered overhead while rivers of crimson magma flowed beneath them, creating an astonishing harmony between fire and ice.
"...Beautiful..." ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
The word escaped Volcano almost unconsciously.
Nova: As you can see, my planet possesses very little natural volcanic activity. Those geothermal regions are the only places where my species can comfortably survive. If I had a sustainable supply of magma, I could create additional habitable zones without ruining the world’s natural appearance.
Volcano scratched the back of his head, his eyes unconsciously drifting toward the trade list Nova had attached beneath the images.
Resources Available for Trade
• Eternal Ice Crystal ×120
• Froststeel Ore ×340 kg
• Snow Lotus Seeds ×50
• Glacial Spring Water ×10
• Spirit Ice Essence ×7
• Ice Quartz ×500
"...That’s a lot of resources..."
His eyes swept across the unfamiliar names one by one.
"How could she possibly possess so many?"
Until now, every waking moment had been devoted to nurturing the Magnaris. Never once had it crossed his mind that entire worlds could exchange resources with one another. He continued staring at the list until another possibility gradually surfaced within his mind.
"...Or perhaps every world naturally possesses resources unique to itself?"
His expression slowly stiffened before he rubbed the back of his head awkwardly.
"...Come to think of it..."
"I’ve been so obsessed with the Magnaris that I completely forgot I’m supposed to be managing an entire world."
An embarrassed smile spread across his face.
Ever since entering Godcraft Genesis, every thought he had revolved around his civilization.
Their survival.
Their happiness.
Their growth.
Without realizing it, he had ignored almost every other aspect of being a god.
Trading.
The System Shop.
World Resources.
Terraforming.
Divine Functions.
There were countless systems waiting to be explored, yet he had overlooked nearly all of them simply because he couldn’t take his eyes off the Magnaris.
"...I’ve really been playing this game wrong."
A helpless chuckle escaped his lips.
"No wonder everyone else seems to know so much."
Without wasting another second, Volcano immediately opened the World Trade Platform. A vast transparent interface unfolded before him, and almost simultaneously another notification quietly appeared.
[Scanning Available World Resources...]
Volcano watched the loading bar rise with unconcealed anticipation, curiosity shining brightly within his eyes.
"...Just what kind of treasures does Volcan actually possess?"
