Chapter 28: Chapter 28: An impossible leap.
"This... is... amazing! Cosmos, you big tsundere!"
Volcano shouted into the endless Void, a broad grin stretching across his face as he stared at the notification hovering before him.
[Congratulations.]
You have discovered a hidden redeem code left behind by one of Godcraft’s Exclusive Personnel.
Code: 002547COSMOS
Rewards Obtained:
• 10× Time Acceleration Ticket ×5
• Soul Shard ×10
• Faith Points +500
A tremendous reward.
That was the only conclusion Volcano could reach.
Although he knew little about Godcraft, he understood the value of Time Acceleration Tickets.
They belonged to the Premium category of items and appeared only occasionally within the shop. Sometimes one would surface after only a few days, while at other times years could pass without a single one becoming available. There was simply no pattern to their appearance.
Even if one did appear, a newly Chosen God rarely possessed enough Faith Points to afford it.
Soul Shards were also quite valuable. Each one alone cost five hundred Faith Points, making ten Soul Shards an extraordinary fortune for someone at his stage, not to mention the additional five hundred Faith Points included alongside them.
"So now I can finally skip ahead until they’ve developed a proper language and become intelligent enough to understand miracles. It won’t compare to Tripido’s human civilization... but it’ll still be something, right?"
Unable to contain his excitement, Volcano immediately opened his inventory and selected one of the Time Acceleration Tickets. A golden ticket materialized within his hand, its metallic surface engraved with glowing silver letters.
[Item: 10× Time Acceleration Ticket]
[Grade: Premium]
[Description: Temporarily accelerates the flow of time within a chosen world by tenfold. Ideal for rapidly advancing civilization, technological development, and population growth.]
[Effect: Time Flow ×10]
[Duration: 10 Hours]
[Type: Consumable]
"So one ticket lets me skip a hundred years..." Volcano nodded to himself before letting out a satisfied laugh. "That’s actually incredible."
Rather than activating it immediately, he first merged his consciousness with his world. He wanted to know precisely how far his civilization had progressed before using such a valuable item so that he could accurately measure its effects afterward.
The moment his consciousness descended into Volcan, a flood of notifications erupted before his eyes.
[Congratulations, Lesser God. A portion of your Magnari civilization has successfully developed a complete spoken language.]
[Ding! A portion of your Magnari civilization has successfully developed a complete writing system.]
[Ding! A portion of your Magnari civilization has established an Elder Council.]
[Ding! A portion of your Magnari civilization has formed a structured tribal government.]
[Ding! A portion of your Magnari civilization has successfully developed permanent housing.]
[Congratulations, Lesser God. Your Divinity has reached its first threshold.]
[Divinity Level: 5]
[Basic Function "God’s Whisper" Unlocked.]
[Basic Function: God’s Whisper]
[Description: You may now project faint whispers into the minds of your creations. These whispers cannot compel obedience, but they may guide, warn, comfort, or tempt those capable of perceiving them.]
Volcano’s pupils constricted. The newly unlocked Divine Function scarcely registered in his mind as his attention became completely occupied by the earlier notifications.
A spoken language... writing... an Elder Council... a structured tribal government... permanent housing... every one of those achievements should have taken decades, perhaps even centuries, to accomplish.
In his last playthrough when he saved the Magnaris, the survivors possessed an average intelligence mostly below 65. With minds that underdeveloped, such progress simply shouldn’t have been possible.
So how did this impossible feat had come to be?
His thoughts instinctively drifted toward Gree Ka Go.
It would’ve made sense if the incredible Gree Ka Go had survived to guide them, but the last time Volcano checked...Wasn’t he practically dead?
Could another exceptional Magnari have appeared? Someone capable of matching or perhaps even surpassing his former ace?
Without another moment’s hesitation, Volcano directed his consciousness toward the settlement where he had last left the Magnaris.
Moments later, he found himself staring at a village that appeared... almost unchanged. The population had grown, the children he remembered had reached adulthood, and many of the elders had become noticeably frailer with age, yet beyond those natural changes, very little seemed different. They still communicated using the fragmented language Gree Ka Go had once introduced, and nowhere could Volcano find any trace of writing, organized government, or the remarkable advancements described by the notifications.
His brows gradually furrowed.
Could the system have glitched?
The thought surfaced only briefly before he dismissed it himself. Godcraft was far too sophisticated to make such a fundamental mistake. If the notifications had appeared, then somewhere within his world those developments had truly taken place. It simply meant he hadn’t been looking in the right place.
Taking a slow breath, Volcano expanded his divine perception across the entirety of Volcan, carefully examining every settlement hidden beneath forests, mountains, and rivers. It wasn’t long before his consciousness came to an abrupt halt.
The abandoned settlement.
The very settlement that had once been overrun by the predator...
It was still alive.
An overwhelming sense of relief washed through him.
"So that’s it..."
"I was completely mistaken."
His consciousness gently descended upon the village below. What greeted him this time bore little resemblance to the primitive settlement he remembered.
Rows of wooden houses stood neatly arranged according to an obvious plan rather than scattered at random. Children knelt upon the ground, carefully tracing unfamiliar symbols into the soil while adults patiently corrected their mistakes. Nearby, groups of Magnaris trained together with stone weapons in disciplined formations, their expressions carrying a determination Volcano had never witnessed before. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
This was no longer a tribe struggling to survive.
It was the first step toward becoming a civilization.
Volcano silently observed the bustling settlement, satisfaction gradually filling his heart as his gaze finally settled upon the familiar Magnari responsible for it all.
"...Gree Ka Go."
His voice trembled ever so slightly.
"I’m glad..."
"I’m so glad you’re still alive."
Yet even as relief filled Volcano’s heart, Gree Ka Go himself stood motionless in the center of the settlement, his face clouded with hesitation, as though he had been forced to make a decision capable of changing everything.
