Chapter 20: Chapter 20:The Grand Performance.
[Your Divinity is too low.]
[You cannot stir the Dao of this World.]
Roman stared at the notification with mild annoyance, though beneath it lingered a trace of intrigue.
Ever since he had earned his first one hundred Karma Points for introducing language to the Magnari tribe, he had constantly tried to discover what Karma Points were truly capable of.
As far as he knew, Faith Points could be used to stir the very essence of the world. Provided one’s Divinity had reached a sufficient level and enough Faith Points were available, a God could summon tsunamis across the oceans, stir the weather into violent storms, trigger earthquakes, or perform countless other acts that manipulated the laws of nature themselves.
"If it’s showing me this message, then it’s obvious Karma Points can eventually be used the same way as Faith Points. The real question is... from what point onward, and at what cost?"
Roman muttered as he focused his intent upon the Dao of the world, just as he had done countless times while existing within the Void as a God.
[Your Divinity is too low.]
[You cannot stir the Dao of this World.]
"Interesting..."
Roman tried again.
Then again.
Determined to probe the system and discover just how much freedom it would tolerate, he continued until the fourth attempt.
[Your Divinity is too low!!]
[You cannot stir the Dao of this World!!]
[GODCRAFT GENESIS has detected continuous disturbance within Universe-07, World-119041155.]
[Special Character User-07 has been marked.]
[Any further disturbance to the World’s Dao will result in a temporary ban.]
[Continuous disturbance to the World’s Dao will result in permanent banishment from Godcraft Genesis: Where Everyone Is a God.]
Roman immediately stopped.
However, he wasn’t the type to abandon an idea so easily.
Without access to his true God’s interface, he had no way of knowing what his current Divinity actually was. The only option left was to probe the system itself, even if the price for doing so could eventually become rather costly.
"I’ll try again after a few days."
Roman understood the greatest advantage he possessed over every other God playing Godcraft Genesis.
The other Gods could certainly increase their Divinity by influencing the worlds under their control. However, no matter how influential their actions became, they still had to wait several God Hours—or sometimes even God Days—for that growth to naturally take effect.
Roman’s situation was entirely different.
Living as a Creation meant that while the other Gods experienced only hours, Roman experienced planetary years. To them, a few passing hours meant very little, yet during that same period entire years unfolded before Roman’s eyes, allowing him to continuously shape civilization, accumulate contributions, and naturally increase his Divinity at a pace no ordinary God could ever hope to replicate.
The greatest difference between them was time itself.
Every invention he introduced...
Every decision he made...
Every contribution he left behind...
Each one quietly accumulated throughout those passing years, becoming experience that steadily pushed his Divinity higher.
Thus, Roman continued probing the system.
Every planetary month, he would attempt to interfere with the World’s Dao once more, continuing until the temporary ban warning appeared before patiently waiting another month and repeating the process all over again. It became a routine he followed with almost obsessive patience, not because he expected success each time, but because every failure revealed another piece of information the system was unwilling to tell him directly.
As the planetary months quietly turned into years, Roman never abandoned his experiments. Sometimes he attempted to influence the weather, other times the wind. On another occasion he tried stirring the lava beneath Volcan’s crust, while in later years he even experimented with gravity itself, yet every single attempt ended beneath the same pair of notifications.
[You don’t have enough Karma Points.]
[You cannot stir the Dao of this World.]
The first time those words appeared, Roman’s eyes narrowed almost immediately.
The notification...
...had changed.
It no longer claimed that his Divinity was too low.
Instead...
It stated that he lacked sufficient Karma Points.
A faint smile slowly spread across Roman’s face as realization dawned upon him.
"So I’ve finally crossed the threshold."
Without him even noticing, his Divinity had already reached the minimum requirement needed to interfere with the World’s Dao. The only thing preventing him from doing so now was the amount of Karma Points he possessed.
From that day onward, Roman’s experiments became even more deliberate. Every planetary month he continued testing different aspects of the world, not because he expected immediate success, but because he wanted to understand the limits of Karma itself—how much would be required, what laws he could influence, and where the boundaries of a Creation manipulating the World’s Dao truly lay.
The notifications remained unchanged year after year, while Roman quietly accumulated Karma Points through every contribution he made to the Magnari civilization.
Until today.
After amassing well over a thousand Karma Points, the familiar blue screen flickered once more before an entirely different notification appeared.
...
[You have successfully manipulated Gravity.]
[1,000 Karma Points deducted.]
[Remaining Karma Points: 75.]
[Countdown until the World reclaims its Dao: 15 seconds.]
Roman’s breathing paused for the briefest moment as his eyes remained fixed upon the glowing notifications.
It had worked.
After years of patiently probing the system, quietly experimenting whenever an opportunity presented itself, and waiting for his Divinity to naturally reach the required threshold, the World’s Dao had finally answered his call.
For the next fifteen seconds...
Gravity itself belonged to him.
And for the next fifteen seconds, Vardantooth would remain kneeling before them.
When he had still been a Creator residing within the Void, Roman had personally named a number of creatures simply for his own amusement and to better remember their characteristics. Fortunately, this predator happened to be one of them.
He knew its strengths.
He knew its weaknesses.
He knew its habits.
That alone was enough to give him confidence. Even if manipulating the World’s Dao had failed, Roman already had a plan for dealing with Vardantooth. freewebnovel.cσ๓
’I could crush it into nothing by simply intensifying the gravity around its body... however...’
His gaze shifted toward the Magnaris gathered behind him.
His father stared at the kneeling beast with unconcealed disbelief, unable to comprehend why such a terrifying predator had suddenly prostrated itself before them. To him, Roman was still nothing more than his peculiar son, an exceptionally clever Magnari who often behaved in strange ways. The thought that Roman himself might be responsible never even crossed his mind.
The others were no different.
Although bewilderment filled their faces, none of them lowered their guards. They merely watched, trying to understand why the predator had suddenly become incapable of moving.
Roman quietly sighed.
If he crushed Vardantooth where it stood, everyone present would naturally connect the miracle to him. Having just witnessed Volcano’s divine intervention moments earlier, they already knew such impossible phenomena existed. It wouldn’t take much for them to conclude that Roman had somehow performed another miracle.
And once that thought settled within their minds...
Everything would change.
They would no longer see him as one of their own.
They would begin questioning what he truly was.
Fear would quietly replace trust.
After all, any conscious being feared strength it couldn’t comprehend, and an existence capable of effortlessly obliterating such a monstrous predator could hardly be considered one of them. Roman was fairly certain that his already intimidating appearance would only deepen that fear.
That wasn’t the path he wanted.
Not yet.
The countdown continued.

The moment the World’s Dao reclaimed itself, Roman immediately shoved his father away before leaping from the basalt rock.
BOOOM!!
Freed from the invisible force suppressing it, Vardantooth slammed forward with all the momentum it had accumulated while struggling against gravity, its enormous body crashing into the very spot where Roman and his father had stood only a heartbeat earlier.
The colossal predator slowly rose, shaking its massive head before releasing a guttural roar that echoed throughout the settlement, proclaiming its dominance after the inexplicable humiliation it had just suffered.
Its bloodshot eyes immediately locked onto Roman.
Without the slightest hesitation, one massive claw tore through the air.
Roman sidestepped.
Another claw followed almost instantly, aiming for the exact position he had moved toward.
Roman twisted his body and slipped past it as well.
Vardantooth belonged to the dominant Silicari species. Its overwhelming endurance and monstrous strength far surpassed those of any ordinary Magnari, while its speed alone was enough to overwhelm most prey unfortunate enough to cross its path.
Fortunately...
Roman wasn’t an ordinary Magnari.
Every point he had earned throughout the years had been invested with purpose, and his Agility had already reached its current limit.
Using that advantage, Roman darted beneath Vardantooth’s extended arm and drove his sharpened spear into its thick hide.
CLAAANK!!
The spear rebounded violently.
’Just as I expected.’
Roman’s expression never changed.
If Vardantooth’s hide could be pierced so easily, it would never have earned its reputation among the predators of Volcan.
The beast immediately seized the opportunity, lunging forward with jaws wide open in an attempt to swallow Roman whole.
Roman calmly thrust the spear horizontally between its upper and lower jaws, using it as a brace before pushing himself away from the predator’s mouth with both feet.
CRUNCH!
The wooden spear shattered between Vardantooth’s fangs.
"Don’t mind if I take this."
Roman laughed lightly as he snatched the spear from his father’s stunned grasp before dashing away once more.
For the next several moments, Roman danced around the colossal predator with astonishing precision, weaving through its relentless attacks while continuously provoking it further. Whenever an opening appeared, his spear would dart forward, striking joints, probing muscles, and testing every weakness he had long since memorized.
The Magnaris watched in complete silence.
Their eyes never once left Gre Ka Go.
The way he moved.
The way he slipped through impossibly small openings. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
The way he used his tiny body and crude weapon against a predator that should have been impossible to confront.
None of them had ever imagined such a way of fighting could exist.
With every exchange, Gre Ka Go seemed to grow larger within their eyes.
Stronger.
More dependable.
Almost untouchable.
Without realizing it, every one of them had become nothing more than spectators.
An audience quietly witnessing...
...a truly grand performance.
