Chapter 18: Chapter 18: A Historic Division.

"Why?"

"Why isn’t he following me?"

The questions gnawed at Volcano as he stared at the back of the Magnari. The Magnari in question, Gre Ka Go, had an IQ and battle IQ of 200, where the average IQ lay around 65–70, and anything above that could already be classified as exceptional. But Gre Ka Go possessed something far beyond that— a type of intelligence that should have been impossible in this primitive world.

He had even created language and weapons, proving his worth despite being a mere nine years old. Thus, he certainly had the comprehension to understand what was dangerous, what was life-threatening, and what was comforting and beneficial.

So why was this happening?

Why was he rejecting an entity that was here to save his tribe?

Volcano couldn’t understand such a gesture no matter how many times he thought about it.

’I can’t let it go down that path. I need that one Magnari. He is the key to further developing this civilization, the key to surpassing countless Gods out there and climbing to the top of the newbie rankings.’

Volcano was aware of the massive butterfly effect this Magnari could create within a single generation, and he wasn’t certain when another individual like this would appear in his world... or if one ever would at all.

Thus, he came to a decision. A decision to use the last of his faith points if he had to... to manipulate himself in order to speak to the Magnari in an alluring voice that would certainly get Gre Ka Go’s attention.

He checked his faith points.

[Faith Point: 70]

He didn’t know if it would be enough to go past the Godcraft regulations and stir the very Dao of this world in order to perform a greater miracle.

But he had to try.

He focused all of his intent on his faith points.

[Your divinity is too low to perform God’s Whisper.]

[Restriction applied.]

[You cannot stir the Dao of the World.]

[You cannot produce any unprecedented movement in the World.]

Volcano did not stop at such a meager warning. Instead, he focused his intent on the Dao nature of the world even more. His will was so forceful that the atmosphere of the settlement began to change drastically. A different kind of fear gripped the dwelling Magnaris that had been approaching his comforting aura.

Some broke down in tears, some clutched their heads in agony, desperately hoping the calamity would pass away.

But Volcano didn’t care about such meager acts. He continued.

[Your divinity is too low to perform God’s Whisper.]

[Restriction applied.]

[You cannot stir the Dao of the World.]

[You cannot produce any unprecedented movement in the World.]

[A breach in Godcraft regulations and guidance has been detected.]

[User 185276 has been marked.]

[Any further breach in Godcraft Regulations will result in a temporary ban.]

[Continuous breaches in Godcraft Regulations will result in a permanent ban from Godcraft Genesis: Where Everyone is a God.]

"Tsk."

Volcano finally let the attempt go, unwilling to provoke the regulations any further or test the system beyond this point. Helplessly, he stared at the Magnari’s back.

Gre Ka Go still hadn’t shown even the slightest sign of swaying.

Then suddenly, a realization struck Volcano like a blade cutting through cold water.

’D-Did he... awaken arrogance?’

The Magnari was far more exceptional than any living being in this world, so the possibility of arrogance taking root within him was not far-fetched.

Could it be that Gre Ka Go believed he could defeat the predator because of his arrogance?

Volcano sighed lightly, finally letting it go.

Swaying the heart of a cruel person could be done, but making an arrogant person understand their place was not something that could be achieved through words alone. Until reality itself taught them the lesson, there was no changing them. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com

"Let’s... just get out of here with the other Magnaris before the predator comes."

He came to that decision with a heart full of sadness and reluctance.

Just when an opportunity to shine in life had finally come, it had to go to waste like this.

’He is a lost cause.’

He pulled his gaze away from the Magnari’s back and looked toward the others, easing his aura and stopping his resistance against the world’s Dao.

The comforting atmosphere returned to the settlement as the Magnaris hesitantly approached the mythical being, careful not to anger it any further.

Flock after flock, the Magnaris took refuge beneath the celestial Unicorn’s wings.

However, another unpredictable act was occurring right before Volcano’s eyes.

In the middle of the settlement, a few individuals remained still. They appeared to be charmed as well, yet they never moved to follow the flocks of Magnaris gathering beneath Volcano’s protection.

They stood there for several heartbeats, weighing something in silence, and then an extremely small figure moved before anyone else could. Using his short legs and newly learned steps, the toddler walked forward—toward the basalt rock where Gre Ka Go was standing patiently.

"Gree Ma Go!"

"Gree Ka Go!"

"Gree Ma Go!"

The toddler hummed repeatedly as he finally reached the basalt rock. Unable to climb it, he simply stood there and repeated his and Roman’s name over and over with slight childish laughter, as if he wanted to play with Gre Ka Go even in a situation like this.

Gre Ka Chu, the female Magnari, watched the scene unfold. Her gaze drifted from the celestial beast she couldn’t recognize to the ever-intimidating Gre Ka Go—who had once scared her to death when they were both merely three-year-old toddlers.

But that was then, and this was now.

Over the years, she had followed this intimidating Gre Ka Go from afar, and surprisingly, he had always been gentle. Even though his expression often suggested otherwise, Gre Ka Chu knew that this individual meant no harm to anyone, and yet he was always isolated.

It was around the age of seven or eight that Gre Ka Chu’s observation of Gre Ka Go had become a regular thing, right when he began displaying strange behaviors—always hurrying to the elders, always being useful, always doing things no other Magnari did. She hadn’t understood what was going on back then, but she loved watching it.

Watching such a strong and intimidating individual be so helpful to her tribe had awakened something within her... something she had no words for.

Every time Gre Ka Go walked near her or simply remained in her vicinity, she became a mess in a way she never meant to. It wasn’t because of the fear she had once felt as a toddler.

It was something else.

Something that made her heart race.

So if there was a situation where danger lurked all around them, would she choose an unknown beast, even if it felt comforting and reassuring... or would she choose the one whose mere presence made her feel safe, reassured, and caused her heart to flutter in a way she didn’t know how to deal with?

Obviously, it would be the second.

Gre Ka Chu was that kind of female.

Thus, Gre Ka Chu slowly walked toward the basalt rock.

And what followed was an impossible scene, one that lay completely outside Volcano’s expectations.

Every frozen Magnari who had been weighing the decision—whether to go with the beast or remain with the exceptional Gre Ka Go—turned around and walked toward the basalt rock, rejecting the comforting aura of the Governor of this World. free𝑤ebnovel.com

Resulting in a historic division among the Magnaris.
