Chapter 39: Sliver Rank

Dan Moriarty remained standing where he was, the Thousand Heavens Rainfall Divine Sword resting naturally in his hand. Faint strands of azure lightning coiled around the blade while wisps of black sword intent drifted beside them like shadows accompanying moonlight. Neither force rejected the other, they simply existed. Light, darkness, power, restraint. The balance felt natural.

Dan lowered his gaze toward his sword, his thoughts gradually calming after the tremendous enlightenment he had just experienced. The Dao. He had only just begun touching its threshold, not mastering it, not comprehending it completely, merely touching it. Even so, that single step already separated him from countless Streamers.

His eyes became thoughtful.

"...Four days."

Only four days had passed since he awakened as a Streamer. Four days ago he had entered his very first dungeon with little more than determination. And now he was already beginning to comprehend a Dao. If another Streamer heard those words, they would likely dismiss them as an absurd fantasy.

Fortune resembled rain falling upon a mountain. Some mountains remained barren despite enduring countless storms, while others blossomed after a single shower. Yet even the richest rainfall required soil capable of nurturing seeds, and fortune alone could never produce greatness. One still needed the courage to seize it.

Dan quietly retraced every step of his journey — his first livestream, the Resenia Mine, the Skull Knight, the gifts from viewers, the Spirit Wine Jars, the Copper Coins, purchasing the Seven Abyssal Hell Tower, establishing the Seven Wings Guild, meeting Evelyn. Every event seemed almost unbelievable. Yet when he searched for the true origin behind everything, his answer remained unchanged.

"Infinite Amplification..."

Without it, the Thousand Heavens Rainfall Divine Sword would never have existed. Without the sword, he would never have defeated the Skull Knight. Without defeating the Skull Knight, he would never have obtained the Skull Knight’s Core. Without the Core, the Eternal Abyss Art would never have evolved. Without the evolution, he would never have gained a Divine-grade inheritance capable of granting insight beneath Heaven. Everything — every opportunity, every treasure, every step — originated from a single Talent.

Dan couldn’t help smiling.

"It truly deserves to be called heaven-defying."

A farmer who possessed only one miraculous seed was once mocked because he owned only a single seed while others possessed entire fields. Years later, the farmer’s lone seed had become an endless forest. People admired the forest, yet few remembered the seed.

Likewise, many admired success while overlooking the foundation that allowed it to bloom. Dan understood that better than anyone. He would never underestimate his Talent, nor would he become dependent upon it. Infinite Amplification opened doors — walking through those doors still depended upon him.

He tightened his grip around the Divine Sword.

"I won’t waste it."

Just then, a familiar notification echoed inside his consciousness.

[Ding!]

Another translucent panel materialized before him.

[You currently possess four Mythical-grade items.]

[Conditions fulfilled.]

[Streamer Rank Promotion Initiated.]

...

[Iron V → Silver III.]

Dan blinked.

"...Silver?"

Even he hadn’t expected another promotion so quickly. Normally, Streamer rank advanced through accumulated achievements. Yet possessing treasures of extraordinary value also influenced one’s standing.

Equipment represented strength, strength represented survival, and survival represented influence. Four Mythical-grade treasures were something even many veteran Gold Rank Streamers couldn’t boast, so the promotion wasn’t unreasonable.

The insignia beside his channel information gradually transformed. The dull iron emblem shattered, and replacing it, a polished silver crest appeared — simple, elegant, radiating.

Then, another notification immediately followed.

[Ding!]

[Streamer Rank Successfully Advanced.]

[Current Rank: Silver III.]

[Privileges Unlocked.]

Dan hadn’t even finished reading before another prompt appeared.

[Silver-ranked Streamers receive significantly increased channel exposure.] freewёbnoνel.com

[Your future livestreams will be recommended across additional Realms.] free𝑤ebnovel.com

[Potential viewer growth has increased substantially.]

Dan’s pupils contracted slightly.

"So that’s how it works..."

Until now, his viewers had largely arrived through recommendations, word of mouth, individual interest. Now the Streaming Network itself would actively promote his broadcasts. Silver Rank was a dividing line, and many novice Streamers spent years attempting to reach it. Dan had done so in only four days.

The livestream comments exploded.

[@StoneGiantKing: Silver III already? Hmph... although your level remains low, your possessions alone already surpass countless established Streamers. This promotion is justified.]

[@GoldenFeatherPrincess: Congratulations. Silver Rank opens many doors. More importantly, many higher-realm viewers rarely watch Iron-ranked broadcasts. Your future audiences will become considerably more diverse.]

[@DrunkenSwordImmortal: Hahaha! Little brat! This immortal knew your rise would be swift, but reaching Silver Rank after merely four days... you’re truly abnormal.]

"I’ll take that as praise," Dan said, smiling faintly.

The moment those words left his mouth, another notification appeared.

[Ding!]

[Feature Unlocked.]

[Stream Chat.]

[Silver-ranked Streamers may now directly communicate with viewers during broadcasts through the chat]

[Interact with your audience to increase entertainment value, strengthen viewer relationships, and improve gift acquisition.]

Dan’s eyes widened.

"So... I can finally chat with them."

Until now, communication had always been one-sided. The viewers commented, Dan read, and that was all. Now conversations could actually happen. Immediately, the chat exploded. (A/N: The earlier Chapters it seemed as if Dan could directly communicate with his viewers, but that was not the case, it was my fault that it seemed that way and wasn’t made clear he couldn’t. His viewers generally knew what he was trying to say from his body language and their understanding of human expressions.)

[@GoldenFeatherPrincess: Oh? He can now chat with us.]

[@StoneGiantKing: Finally. It’ll be easier to lecture you directly.]

[@DrunkenSwordImmortal: Hahaha! Excellent! Little brat, answer this immortal honestly. When you comprehended the Dao just now... what exactly did you see?]

Dan considered the question, and typed a reply.

[Dan Moriarty: The darkness. The real darkness, It wasn’t frightening, rather It felt... somewhat peaceful.]

Silence. The comments briefly stopped, and several seconds later —

[@DrunkenSwordImmortal: ...Excellent answer.]

[@DrunkenSwordImmortal: Those who mistake darkness for evil can never comprehend the Dao of Darkness. You have passed the first threshold.]

Dan nodded slightly.

[Dan Moriarty: Indeed I have]

[@DrunkenSwordImmortal: Exactly! Every Dao possesses gates. Every gate possesses threshold . Some are external. Others exist only within one’s own heart.]

Dan quietly stored every word inside his memory. No manual could replace experience — especially experience from someone who had already walked so far upon the Sword Dao.

Yet before another conversation could begin, his Talent suddenly trembled. Unlike before, it wasn’t activating. It was changing.

Dan’s pupils narrowed as an unfamiliar vibration spread throughout his entire body. The blue interface flickered repeatedly, one notification appeared then disappeared, another replaced it, and finally the system stabilized.

[Ding!]

[Condition Met.]

[Streamer Rank has surpassed Silver.]

[Infinite Amplification is undergoing evolution...]

Dan’s breathing unconsciously slowed, "...Evolution?"

Dan quickly recalled what the system had made clear when he first got his talent.

By increasing levels, popularity and rank as a streamer, will the talent multiplier be increased by 10X!

"So this is it!"

[Evolution Progress...]

5%. 12%. 27%. 41%. 63%. 79%. 91%. 99%.

...

100%.

The surrounding air suddenly distorted. The Thousand Heavens Rainfall Divine Sword emitted a joyful hum, and even the Eternal Dark Heaven Art seemed to resonate.

[Ding!]

[Infinite Amplification has successfully evolved.]

[Amplification Multiplier Updated.]

[1,000× → 10,000×]

Dan’s eyes widened.

"...Ten..."

"...Ten thousand?"
