Chapter 16: Iron II

[Boss Loot Detected!]

[Reward Drops Successfully Generated.]

[Drops Obtained:]

[Infernal Abyss Flame Sword(Rare)]

A flame-attributed sword forged from the essence of infernal beasts. Possesses high fire damage and enhanced cutting power against armored targets.

[Crimson Lionhide Chest Armor(Rare)]

Chest armor crafted from the hide of the Infernal Crimson Lion King. Offers enhanced physical defense and moderate resistance against flame-based attacks.

[Spirit Stones *30]

Naturally condensed spirit stones capable of restoring spiritual energy and accelerating recovery.

Looking at the rewards before him, Dan Moriarty remained calm.

Among Streamers, it was common knowledge that ordinary monsters rarely dropped anything of value. Only Boss-ranked creatures possessed a genuine chance of leaving behind equipment, treasures, or skill-related items after death.

"This sword is worthless compared to the Thousand Heavens Rainfall Divine Sword," Dan Moriarty said lightly. "I will simply sell it in the marketplace later."

As for the armor, he nodded in satisfaction.

"This, however, is still useful."

Without hesitation, he collected the drops. The Infernal Abyss Flame Sword was stored directly into his inventory, while the Crimson Lionhide Chest Armor immediately equipped itself onto his body in flashes of light.

The new armor fit surprisingly well, covering his chest in dark crimson protective layers while still allowing smooth movement. Combined with the divine sword at his side, his appearance now carried even greater presence.

[Current Viewers: 260]

[@GoldenFeatherPrincess: He looks considerably more handsome after equipping the chest armor.]

[@DrunkenSwordImmortal: Hmph. Barely passable.]

Ignoring the stream of comments, Dan Moriarty called out his panel and had a look at his current progression.

Looking at his panel, Dan Moriarty decided to distribute his twenty free attribute points. After a brief moment of consideration, he allocated them equally between Spirit and Constitution, as those were currently his lowest attributes.

Constitution +10

The moment the allocation was completed, Dan Moriarty immediately felt a noticeable change within his body. His spiritual energy became denser and more active, while his physique felt sturdier and far more resilient than before.

Then, another notification suddenly appeared before him.

[Ding! Congratulations, you have gained a new follower: @XXUP, your reputation across the realms has begun to rise.]

[Ding! Congratulations, you have gained a total of 10 followers. Your streamer rank has moved from Iron I to Iron II]

"Impressive..." Dan Moriarty muttered softly.

Streamers were ranked according to their achievements, popularity, and overall influence across the streaming network. After carefully researching the system beforehand, Dan Moriarty already knew the general hierarchy.

The ranks progressed from Iron I through Iron V, followed by Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Each major rank was further divided into five smaller stages: I, II, III, IV, and V. Advancing required reaching specific milestones and proving oneself through streams, combat achievements, follower growth, and contribution value.

While Iron II was still considered the lowest tier among Streamers, for a newcomer who had only completed two streams, this rate of advancement was already exceptional.

"Thank you..." one of the surviving miners suddenly said weakly, drawing Dan Moriarty’s attention away from his thoughts.

The miners stared at Dan Moriarty with expressions filled with disbelief and gratitude. To them, the terrifying monster that had driven the entire mine into despair had been defeated almost effortlessly.

The overwhelming Infernal Crimson Lion King, a creature they had viewed as an unstoppable calamity, had been cut down before their very eyes by this seemingly young hero.

One older miner finally stepped forward shakily, his voice trembling slightly from lingering fear.

"H-Hero... you truly killed it..."

Dan Moriarty nodded calmly, his expression remaining composed.

"The path is clear now," he said evenly. "The monsters blocking the route toward the entrance have already been dealt with. You may safely leave the mine."

The miners immediately revealed relieved expressions. Some nearly collapsed on the spot as the tension weighing on their hearts finally disappeared. Others repeatedly muttered words of thanks beneath their breath.

"But..." one miner suddenly hesitated, his face turning uneasy again. "The entrance collapsed earlier. A massive boulder sealed the tunnel completely."

"That is not a problem," Dan Moriarty replied calmly. "I will clear the way for you before you leave."

Hearing those words, the miners became overjoyed and quickly thanked him repeatedly.

Not long afterward, Dan Moriarty escorted them back through the tunnels. Along the way, he easily shattered the enormous boulder sealing the mine entrance with a single swing of the Thousand Heavens Rainfall Divine Sword, reopening the path to the outside world.

Fresh air immediately surged into the mine, as several miners nearly broke into tears the moment sunlight became visible again. To them, it felt as though they had escaped death itself.

Yet just as they were preparing to leave, one of the miners suddenly noticed something strange.

Dan Moriarty himself had stopped walking.

"H-Hero?" the miner called cautiously. "Are you... not coming with us?"

Dan Moriarty slowly turned his gaze back toward the deeper parts of the mine. The darkness within the tunnels remained thick and silent.

"No," he answered calmly.

The miners became confused.

"But the monster has already been defeated..."

A faint smile appeared on Dan Moriarty’s face.

"That may be true," he said softly. "But I still have unfinished business here."
