The wind rushed past Min-jae’s ears as he plummeted from the third-floor balcony. To an ordinary human, a three-story drop onto solid asphalt meant shattered ankles or worse. But as Min-jae’s boots slammed into the cracked pavement, a dull thud echoed through the empty street.
The concrete beneath his feet spiderwebbed with fractures. Min-jae didn’t feel a thing.

Three Grey Goblins— vile, four-foot-tall humanoids with mottled green-grey skin, bulging yellow eyes, and jagged bone daggers— stopped tearing at a corpse.
