Chapter 19: Chapter 19: The Blossoming Wave

The first sign came two days after the crystal’s application.

Kai was helping Mira plan the layout of new housing when a familiar silver glow erupted from the direction of the Sacred World Tree.

Not the gentle shimmer of a single blossom opening.

Something considerably more intense.

Both of the previously developing blossoms were opening simultaneously.

Mira immediately dropped her planning bark and ran.

Kai followed.

By the time they reached the tree, most of the village had already gathered.

Word traveled fast in a small settlement.

Even Iris had somehow arrived before either of them.

The child stood at the very front of the crowd.

Eyes enormous.

Both tails practically vibrating.

"Two at once!"

Sera stood beside her.

Characteristically composed.

Yet her golden eyes tracked both blossoms with obvious intensity.

Kai looked upward.

The two blossoms hung side by side among the lower branches.

Both considerably larger than Iris’s birth blossom had been.

Their coloring was different from each other.

One shimmered with silver and deep violet.

The other radiated silver and warm amber.

Both were unmistakably Uncommon grade at minimum.

Yet something about the violet one felt different.

More concentrated.

More layered.

The Divine Evolution Authority stirred faintly.

Kai opened the interface quietly.

**Spirit Blossom Analysis**

**Blossom 1: Silver-Violet**

**Grade: Rare**

**Projected Birth Talents: Multiple**

**Projected Birth Tails: 3**

**Blossom 2: Silver-Amber**

**Grade: Uncommon**

**Projected Birth Talents: High**

**Projected Birth Tails: 2**

Kai read the notification twice.

The silver-violet blossom was Rare grade.

The first Rare grade blossom the realm had produced.

Three tails at birth.

Multiple projected talents.

Whatever emerged from it would be extraordinary.

He kept his expression neutral.

The fox maidens around him were already excited enough without additional encouragement.

The blossoms began opening.

The silver-amber one moved first.

Petals unfurled gracefully.

Warm golden light spilled outward.

The figure inside slowly became visible. freēwēbnovel.com

A young girl.

Apparent age around eight or nine.

Silver hair with distinct amber streaks running through it like veins of warm metal.

Two tails.

Golden eyes with amber flecks.

The child blinked slowly as the blossom descended.

When her feet touched the grass she looked around with an expression of bright curiosity.

Her gaze swept across every fox maiden.

Then landed on Kai.

She smiled immediately.

Wide.

Warm.

Completely unguarded.

"Hello!"

Her voice was cheerful and energetic.

Several fox maidens laughed.

Iris immediately stepped forward.

"I’m Iris."

The new child looked at her.

"I’m new."

"I know."

Iris grabbed her hand without ceremony.

"We’re going to be friends."

The amber-haired child looked delighted.

"Okay!"

Sera observed this interaction with quiet patience.

The second blossom was still opening.

As the violet glow intensified, the atmosphere around the tree changed noticeably.

The spiritual energy density increased.

Even fox maidens without particular magical sensitivity seemed to feel it.

Several looked around in mild surprise.

Veil’s Spirit Sight was clearly overwhelmed.

The quiet fox maiden had both hands slightly raised as though trying to process an enormous amount of information simultaneously.

When the silver-violet blossom finally opened fully, the light it released was significantly more intense than anything previous.

Not blinding.

But brilliant.

Pure.

When it faded, the figure inside was immediately different from any previous birth.

A young girl.

Yet the apparent age felt slightly older than the others.

Perhaps ten or eleven.

Silver hair with deep violet running through it in striking patterns.

Three tails.

Each one moving with slow deliberate grace.

Her eyes when they opened were not standard golden.

They were violet.

Deep.

Calm.

Intelligent beyond her apparent years.

The child looked around the gathered crowd with an expression that was neither overwhelmed nor uncertain. freeweɓnøvel.com

Simply observant.

Taking everything in.

Processing.

When her gaze reached Kai it stayed there.

The two regarded each other for a long moment.

Then the child spoke.

"Divine Lord."

Her voice was quiet.

Clear.

Precise.

Even Sera looked mildly impressed.

The blossom gently completed its descent.

The violet-eyed child stepped onto the grass with natural grace.

Three tails moved behind her like the slow sweep of a tide.

A notification appeared.

**New Citizen Born**

**Race: Nine-Tailed Fox Maiden**

**Blossom Grade: Rare**

**Birth Tails: 3**

**Population: 16**

**Detected Talents:**

**Spirit Affinity: Exceptional**

**Illusion Magic: Exceptional**

**Soul Perception: High**

**Foresight: Dormant**

**Hidden Potential: Confirmed**

**Faith Income Significantly Increased**

**Realm Prosperity +25**

Three exceptional talents.

A dormant fourth.

Hidden potential confirmed.

Kai absorbed the information quietly.

This child was something genuinely remarkable.

Even among a Legendary race, she stood apart.

The naming discussions followed.

The amber-streaked child was named Ember by enthusiastic popular vote.

She accepted it with immediate delight and began repeating it to herself happily.

The violet-eyed child was more deliberate.

Several names were suggested.

She listened to each one.

Considered them properly.

Then spoke.

"Nova."

Silence for a moment.

Then Luna smiled.

"Nova."

The child nodded once.

Settled.

Certain.

As though she had simply confirmed something she already knew.

The celebration that followed was the largest Silverleaf Village had held.

Two births at once.

One of them Rare grade.

The village had never felt so alive.

Food was shared.

Stories were told.

Iris dragged Ember into an immediate chase-the-fireflies competition that Ember lost spectacularly while laughing the entire time.

Sera and Nova sat together slightly apart from the main celebration.

Two composed children in quiet conversation.

Kai watched them from a distance and found himself curious about what they were discussing.

He suspected it was considerably more serious than fireflies.

As the evening settled into night, Luna approached him.

"The tree."

Kai looked toward the Sacred World Tree.

Above the celebration, among the branches, new blossoms were already visible.

Several of them.

The doubled production rate was clearly active.

The thirty-day enhancement period had barely begun.

"How many do you think will come?"

Luna studied the tree carefully.

"At least six more blossoms are developing."

She paused.

"Possibly more forming that I can’t see yet."

Six minimum.

All Uncommon grade or higher.

Each producing a fox maiden with two or more tails and exceptional talents.

Kai thought about logistics.

Housing.

Training.

Role allocation.

Integration.

The village was about to grow significantly faster than it ever had before.

"We need to accelerate construction."

Luna was already nodding.

"I’ve spoken with Mira."

"New housing foundations begin tomorrow morning."

"Spirit Stone for all new structures."

"Larger common areas to accommodate expanded population."

The fox maiden had clearly been planning since before the blossoms opened.

Kai smiled.

"What would I do without you?"

Luna looked slightly surprised by the comment.

Then composed herself.

"Manage considerably less efficiently."

He laughed.

The fox maiden smiled.

Then returned her gaze to the Sacred World Tree.

Something in her expression shifted.

Became more thoughtful.

"My Lord."

"Yes?"

"Nova."

Kai waited.

"She looked at me during the ceremony."

Luna’s tail moved slowly.

"The way she looked..."

The fox maiden paused carefully.

"It felt as though she already knew things."

"About all of us."

"About this place."

Kai considered that.

Soul Perception.

Foresight dormant.

A Rare grade birth with three exceptional talents.

Whatever Nova truly was, she would need to be understood carefully.

Guided carefully.

The dormant Foresight alone suggested a future that could be either extraordinarily valuable or extraordinarily complicated.

Perhaps both.

"Watch her."

Luna nodded.

"I already intend to."

The celebration continued late into the night.

Eventually fox maidens drifted toward their homes one by one.

Ember fell asleep against Iris’s side near the fire.

Iris looked smug about this development.

Sera draped a small blanket over both of them with quiet efficiency.

Nova had already retired.

The violet-eyed child had simply stood, bowed slightly to no one in particular, and walked calmly toward the housing area as though she had lived there for years.

Kai remained beside the Sacred World Tree long after everyone else had gone.

The night was warm.

Stars filled the realm’s sky with impossible density.

The tree above him glowed softly.

Enhanced by the Realm Born Crystal’s lingering effect.

More blossoms forming.

More futures being written in silver light among the branches.

He opened the authority interface one final time before retiring.

**Authority: Divine Evolution**

**Rank: Beginner**

**Authority Energy: 35**

**Population: 16**

**Active Enhancements:**

**Sacred World Tree Enhancement - 27 Days Remaining**

**Spirit Weaving Universal - Active**

**Moon Attunement - Luna Only**

**Spirit Sight - Veil Only**

**Realm Prosperity: 130**

**Faith: 472**

Realm Prosperity had crossed one hundred.

Faith was growing steadily.

The population was about to increase significantly.

And twenty-seven days of enhanced blossom production remained.

Kai looked at the Moon Attunement entry.

Luna Only.

Twelve fox maidens had yet to receive it.

Including the newly born Ember and Nova.

Option C from the Realm Born Crystal had been awakening all unactivated Moon Attunements simultaneously.

He had chosen Option A instead.

Population quality first.

Yet Moon Attunement remained important.

Thirty-five authority energy.

Each activation cost three.

He could awaken four fox maidens before dropping below twenty.

He needed to choose carefully.

The most impactful individuals for the current stage of development.

Sylvia for military capability.

Mira for crafting during nighttime projects.

Veil whose Spirit Sight combined with Moon Attunement would likely produce an extraordinary synergy.

And perhaps one more.

He would decide tomorrow.

Tonight he simply watched the tree.

Felt the realm around him.

The warm spiritual energy flowing through everything.

The Sacred World Tree.

The Spirit Stone village slowly taking shape.

The extraordinary people sleeping within it.

The future forming quietly in silver blossoms above.

Silverleaf Village had begun as ten fox maidens standing beneath a tree.

It was becoming something else.

Something that defied easy description.

Something that felt increasingly like the beginning of a genuine civilization.

Small.

Young.

Fragile in some ways.

Yet alive in ways that mattered far more than size.

Above him the Sacred World Tree continued its quiet work.

Growing blossoms in the dark.

Each one a future yet to unfold.

Each one a piece of an empire yet to be built.

And somewhere among the highest branches, hidden in silver light, the most extraordinary blossoms were still forming.

Waiting.

Growing.

Almost ready.
