Chapter 921: Chapter 471 Liu Heming is indeed not an ordinary person!_1

What does it feel like when an Air Force general slams the table, roars in anger, and pressurizes you with an attitude of "undying dissatisfaction"?

Liu Jiankun, as the one involved, couldn’t help wanting to curse out the words "you motherf...".

Of course.

He considered himself a cultural person of the new era, who never swore, so he decided not to take issue with the general’s behavior. But being yelled at like that was still incredibly distressing.

He certainly had faith in the Warhawk-1’s design. Merely discussing the standard aspects of the Warhawk-1’s design showcased its distinctive features. The several aircraft designers in the acceptance team were all full of praise and even repeatedly marveled at how their designs could incorporate some of these methods.

However, the internal regulations and systems at Aviation Group were also very important. For the entire group, regulations and systems were like a country’s laws, not to be violated lightly.

Exceptions could be made for exceptional circumstances, provided that a large group of people agreed.

The point now was to seek everyone’s agreement.

The one who had just slammed the table to express his opinion was Air Force General Peng Hongguo, nearing retirement age. His rank was already at its peak, and his power was immense.

As one of the important figures in the military, Peng Hongguo’s stance could even influence the development of the Air Force. He had a say in the decision to purchase a certain type of fighter jet.

Such a figure, not to mention his political influence, in some ways, was a customer of Aviation Group.

A customer is God!

"Yes, the customer is God, and what’s wrong with God showing some temper? Besides, it was just expressing an attitude..."

Liu Jiankun quickly convinced himself, and then with a stiff smile said, "General Peng, of course, we also acknowledge the quality of the design, which is why we have the meeting today." ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

"I haven’t finished my introduction." He meant that the introduction wasn’t complete, the real matters had yet to be discussed, and expressing opinions could be postponed a bit.

"I don’t understand design; I just have my eye on this fighter jet," said Peng Hongguo, nodding and taking his seat. freēwēbηovel.c૦m

Liu Jiankun continued the presentation.

He had only initially discussed the theoretical parameters of the Warhawk-1’s design. In reality, many parameters were not determined by the design, but by the theoretical performance of the engine.

For instance, combat radius, maximum speed, payload capacity, etc., were all directly related to the engine’s performance. With a top-notch engine, similar performance parameters wouldn’t be far behind.

These parameters were quite ordinary, and what directly related to the design of a fighter jet was its agility. The standout feature of Warhawk-1’s design was the ultra-high agility brought by the design of variable components.

Regarding agility, there’s an important indicator called ’overload,’ which can be understood as the maximum force exceeding its own weight. When the maximum force is equal to its own weight, that’s the ’overload’ unit, represented by G.

For example, if a person weighs 100 kilograms and experiences a force of 100g, then the overload is 1G.

When a fighter jet is in high-speed flight and suddenly turns at a large angle, an ’overload’ condition occurs. Imagine a high-speed car suddenly changing direction; the tremendous inertia forces the car to withstand a great force. Generally, a fighter jet with high agility is designed with a maximum overload not exceeding 10G, meaning the fighter jet can only perform actions up to 10G.

This design mainly considers stability. Beyond 10G, a fighter jet could risk disintegration.

Additionally, the pilot must also be considered.

The pilot, being part of the aircraft, can withstand overloads of about 5 to 7G. Even those with a greater capacity cannot withstand more than 10G.

Warhawk-1’s outstanding feature is here, as its numerous variable design components make big maneuvers smoother, hence an action that would normally be ’10G’ overload, in reality, only amounts to ’8G’ for the aircraft itself, significantly enhancing its capability to withstand ’overload’ actions.

In emergencies requiring 10G overload actions are rare. During normal flight and combat, overloads surpassing 2G or 3G occur often.

For example, during rapid takeoffs or deceleration descents.

For most fighter jets, limitations during acceleration takeoffs or deceleration descents are not entirely due to engine performance but also include bodily limitations of pilots due to rapid acceleration or deceleration, which must be restricted. Warhawk-1’s design allows the same acceleration to result in a smaller overload on both the jet and pilot, and the direction changes are not stiff but very smooth.

"With a cockpit that offers better shock absorption, the overload cushioning could be further enhanced," Liu Jiankun stated confidently.

He then proceeded to introduce aspects related to agility. For instance, Warhawk-1 could support ultra-low-altitude accelerated flight, even skimming the sea surface, as its agility design gave it a significant advantage, allowing it to adapt to various combat environments.

"It is almost omnipotent."

Liu Jiankun summed up with one word, "This design enables it to adapt to all kinds of missions."

Liu Jiankun’s explanation further intrigued the attendees. They had already been amazed when they first heard the standard parameters. However, those parameters were just the beginning— the most outstanding attribute turned out to be its agility. They reasoned that there was no need for a folding-wing design if it was merely to achieve certain performance parameters.
