Chapter 437: Chapter 270: Is This... Finding Inspiration?

Zhao Yi, he’s in seclusion!

While the physics class was in session, he was closed up in the faculty dormitory, scribbling on his desk, seriouslly getting into the working mode.

After gaining inspiration from Hu Zhibin, Zhao Yi knew he had to start his research. He had found his way to proof, and with the hardest part - the beginning - tackled, all he had to do was follow the path laid out to its conclusion. Now, that was going to be the easiest part.

He intended to solve the issue in one go.

Study Coin: Focused Mode. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓

Research Coin: Causality Thinking Mode.

Under the influence of both states, his brain cells became incredibly concentrated and active, continually deploying several abilities.

Zhao Yi was currently implementing the prime numbers’ central symmetry numbers analysis method, which simply and mercilessly multiplies the symmetric numbers together to yield an extremely complex high-power polynomial with several unknowns. His task was to infer and transform this polynomial.

He had analyzed high-power polynomials before, but because they were too complex, he didn’t know how to continue.

Now he had several associated conditions, indicating he’s made some progress, yet the analysis was still very complicated.

This necessitated a few other analytical means.

Zhao Yi drew inspiration from Hu Zhibin’s lecture, leveraging the change in levels as the breakthrough point. He continuously conducted step-by-step analyses with his ultimate goal being to find the key point.

Finding this key point was challenging, but under Causality Thinking Mode, as long as he deduced enough conditions, he would be able to find it.

Time passed without him realizing it.

A huge pile of draft paper was used up, filled with various complex polynomials.

If a mathematician skilled in number theory were to take a look, they would find it impossible to understand the content because the leaps in logic were far too great, and many steps seemed illogical.

This was a characteristic of research under Causality Thinking Mode.

Zhao Yi was conducting research on his own, and he didn’t need to write out the complete steps, as long as he could understand them. Some of the conclusions were directly results of the Causality Law. When sorting out the data later, he would use "Connection Law" to trace back.

Three hours later, it was time for the Causality Thinking Mode.

Just as Zhao Yi was about to use another Research Coin, his stomach began to grumble. Being immersed in research indeed consumes a lot of energy and strength, so he decided to stop and go out for a meal.

As soon as he walked out of the hall, he saw a familiar figure and waved to say hello, "Sister Awesome!"

"Huh?"

Qian Hong was passing by with a textbook in her arms, having just finished a class. She seemed to be planning to go back to the dorm for a rest. Hearing Zhao Yi’s call, she walked over and asked, "What’s up, Zhao Yi? And also, stop calling me Sister Awesome. You should call me Teacher Qian."

"Alright, Teacher Qian."

Qian Hong was quite surprised, she reminded Zhao Yi to change his way of calling her with not much hope because she knew that Zhao Yi wouldn’t change.

Unexpectedly...he complied?

What happened to him? It was rumored that he had been engrossed in the research of Goldbach Conjecture and seemed to have become obsessed. Could that have affected his attitude?

"Are you okay?" Qian Hong asked with concern. She even went a step further, reaching out to touch Zhao Yi’s forehead, "You don’t have a fever, do you?"

Zhao Yi stepped back and fretted, "Men and women should not touch each other!"

"Whatever~ Who wants to touch you..." Qian Hong said disdainfully, but her face turned slightly red when she realized the implicit meaning of her words.

Zhao Yi seemed to ignore it and said, "Sister Awesome..."

As expected!

Upon hearing this nickname, Qian Hong was suddenly relieved.

Zhao Yi continued asking, "Are you going to have dinner soon? Can you pack some for me and bring it back? I’m still doing research and don’t feel like going out."

"No."

Qian Hong replied, "I’m going shopping with my bestie today, and we’re going to eat at the mall."

"That’s even better." Zhao Yi grinned, "Bring me a burger and fried chicken. No, no, make it a pizza. I haven’t had Western food in ages."

"...You really have thick skin!"

"Hahaha."

Zhao Yi smirked awkwardly, pulling out a hundred yuan note from his pocket and held it towards Qian Hong. He joked, "Here, the bill! Anything left is your tip."

"You wish!"

Qian Hong gnashed her teeth in anger, "Only a fool would bring you food." She threw the money back at Zhao Yi and stomped away angrily.

"Come on, I’m sorry, Sister Awesome!" Zhao Yi realized that he might have been a bit too much and quickly apologized, though he didn’t really know where he crossed the line.

Was it because he asked her to bring food constantly?

They were good friends now, and frankly asking for some food should not make her mad, right?

Or was it because he gave her money?

"Maybe she wanted to treat me?" Zhao Yi shook his head in confusion, eventually attributing the issue to, "Females, they all have those few days every month."

Although Qian Hong stomped off angrily, she wasn’t really mad. Primarily because there was nothing to get mad about, she just felt vexed.

That shameless guy kept asking her to bring him food. She was going shopping with her bestie, for goodness’ sake!

Of course.

That isn’t the main point!

Today was a rare get-together, her bestie’s boyfriend was treating them to a meal, and another friend from university was going too. It wasn’t bad having a free laborer to help carry things, but the key point was that the two friends she was meeting already had boyfriends. She was the only single woman left. How embarrassing!

What should she do?

As soon as they met, the conversation inevitably turned to introducing her to a boyfriend!
