Chapter 10: First Summon
[There existed a nameless swordsman born under an eclipse. He was weak, mortal, and abandoned.]
[Yet, he slew a minor god using nothing but a broken blade stained with his own blood.]
[The gods declared him a calamity and sent armies, saints, and divine executioners to erase him. But every battle made him stronger. Each fallen god became another scar upon his soul and another fragment of strength consumed by his blade.]
[Unable to truly kill him, the surviving gods shattered the soul of this very young man and sealed his existence outside the cycle of life and death.]
[Due to Host’s cosmic history and anomalous existence, this being has reawakened to be a loyal subject.]
[ ... ]
The messages on the screen continued to array themselves in front of Tony as his last, free gacha pull walked in deliberate, majestic step towards him.
He set his eyes off the screen as they fell on this young figure approaching him with calm indifference.
The first thing he noticed about him was that he "looked" like a swordsman.
Long silver-white hair flowed past his shoulder in rugged strands, contrasting sharply against the calm coldness in his piercing blue eyes. There was only a quiet indifference in the way this figure carried himself, as if it would be easier to reject the deeds claimed upon him by the system.
A crimson cloak rested loosely over his pale robes, fluttering behind him as he walked, while the black hilt of a blade lingered over his shoulder. His beauty was almost unreal, soft and elegant at first glance.
But the main reason Tony hadn’t wanted to tag him as a swordsman at first sight was that he resembled and had the height of a kid teenager, within the age range of thirteen to fifteen years old.
Even though the sword strapped to his back made him resemble one.
He did not resemble a hero, or a villain, or whatever claims his legends, according to the system, were.
Tony was still describing this summoned figure with a calculated stare when a new screen materialized before him. This time, the screen did a fantastic job of blocking his sight entirely, as if it had been abandoned in the first place.
[Congratulations! You have summoned a Legendary Presence.]
Before he could read the rest of the notifications carried by the screen, the supposed swordsman was already standing mere inches away from him.
With a soft thud, he genuflected, his right knee dropping against the tiled floor of Tony’s room, supported with his right hand that was placed ball-fist on the floor. Then, his other hand generally supported his entire frame as he crossed it to the back and bowed slightly to Tony.
"My name is..."
Tony’s jaw dropped, the words of his summon blurring in his hearing, as the set of information now displaying before him left him bewildered.
He couldn’t control his actions as he shockingly stood to his feet, now practically towering over his first summon.
[Summon Name]: Kratos Ichigo

[Skills: Divine Edge, Saint’s Step, Severance.]
Tony’s eyes were still wide open, as though his lids were being pulled by an unknown force greater than his will.
’What am I seeing?’
From the profile before him, he could already infer that his first summon was not an ordinary person. Though the system hadn’t mentioned any class for him, that title alone was not something to be taken off the chart.
Besides, if he could still remember, the system hadn’t mentioned anything about his summons getting a class in the first place. "Summon title will be transcribed as subclass for you..." had been the words of the system.
’God, what have I summoned?’
Tony was very much anticipating the subclass that will be generated for him. However, that didn’t mean he was finding it easy believing what he was seeing.
From the knowledge of the memories he inherited from this body, he knew that the limit level of any Player in this tower world was Level 200. Even so, it was those within that level range that were ranked as the highest players of the S-rank.
He would soon know the range and how players are ranked when he visits the guild tomorrow.
But this before him, what rank was he even going to place this legendary being if he were to use the Guild’s ranking system?
Tony counted his fingers in an attempt to make an estimation, but it all seemed innumerable.
Kratos Ichigo, his first summon, could literally take down five S-rank players of their world. This meant that he could solo a whole floor of this tower alone and still reserve enough strength to keep going.
’His stats are even more ridiculously unfathomable.’
Ichigo, whose head had been bowed all this while, now raised it and began staring at his summoner with his cold, blue eyes.
’What is his problem?’ he thought and decided to give one last try at speaking as he bowed again.
"Master... I have slaughtered gods and brought entire realms to ruin..." he said and slowly raised his head to look at Tony, who didn’t seem like he was listening. Yet, he adamantly added, "...but if you summon me to fight a chicken or carry luggage, I’m unsummoning myself."
Tony finally looked down at the figure bowing before him. He opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came. So he closed it. And opened it again, able to think of what to say.
But before he could say anything, a new set of notifications appeared before him, once again stealing his attention.
[The title, Godslayer, is being transcribed as a subclass for you.]
[Transcription is complete.]
[Subclass]: Divine Blade
[Divine Blade: Your mana is divine and will be automatically infused into a single bound sword. Every strike wielded by a divine blade carries sacred force capable of cutting through armor, curses, and impenetrable defenses alike.]
Surprises would never cease to end. He was being granted such an overpowered class, and the system had the gall to term it a subclass?
There were no other words Tony could use to describe what he was seeing except "ridiculous" once again.
All these for him, and he was still a [Level 0] player according to the system and a [Level 1] according to The Monarchs. Now that he thought about it...
A new set of notifications interrupted his thought.
[10% of the Summon stat is now being accessed for sharing.]
[Accessing complete.]
[Summon stat is now being shared.]
[Sharing successful.]
[Congratulations, Host. Your power has increased.]
[Leveling up...]
[Denied! Personally earn EXP to level up.]
Tony understood the system’s point. Although he could earn some shares out of his summon stats, there were those that were not meant to be shared.
The system’s screen had been replaced with a new one, this time around showing him his system’s profile.
[Host’s Profile Updated.]
[Name]: Tony Starke
[Age]: 18
[Class]: Infinite Summoner (Divine)
[Sub-Class]: Divine Blade

[MP]: 3,205
[Stamina]: 9,618
... {Stats} ...
[Strength]: 499

[Active Summons]: 1/∞

All that was happening didn’t feel real to Tony yet. After all, he was an F-rank player with overpowered stats.
His eyes went down to his [HP]. With that amount, would he even be able to die? Unless someone at a level such as Kratos encountered him in combat, he could basically ascribe the word "immortal" to himself. Plus the fact that with a trait such as [Summoner’s Link], dying while Kratos was alive seemed impossible.
Then, his eyes went further down to his [MP]. He had been worried initially about it, but now, with that amount of mana power, he could outlast almost every player several times over in combat.
Almost, because he was yet to really clarify how the Guild’s system worked for higher-ranked players.
His other stats were... Tony didn’t even know what to say about those.
For now, he wanted to understand his new skills better.
[Divine Edge: Infuses the sword with sacred energy that ignores armor, defenses, curses, or any regeneration ability.]
It was sort of a complement to the subclass he had gained from his summon. However, there was an added detail.
If he were to go against a monster or even a player who uses cursed power or energy or even had some regenerative ability, they wouldn’t last with one strike.
The only downside was that it would be more effective to anybody within his range of power measure.
’Sharp,’ he mused.
[Saint’s Step: a movement technique that lets the user move like teleportation for brief moments.]
"..."
[Severance: A sword slash that cuts through space itself, striking enemies from a distance.]
All these skills were very interesting. Tony couldn’t wait to begin testing them to see how they really worked.
What was even more interesting was that these skills didn’t bear any cooldown or limit. As far as he had enough mana power to spare, he could wield them as he wished.
For someone at his level, he didn’t expect any of these skills to cost him so much mana power per usage. But he was going to find out very soon.
Tony was really eager to test out his new skills, but he had more pressing matters. There were scales to how things needed to be done.
First, he would get his player’s I.D., get a sword, and do much more accordingly.
With his satisfaction, the system vanished finally. Only now did Tony begin to turn his attention to the man kneeling before him as he spoke.
"Congratulations, Kratos. I am Tony Starke, and I will be your new..."
Before he could complete his words, his attention fully turned to see that Kratos was no longer kneeling before him.
His eyes scanned the room, only to return to the spot opposite him. The spot directly adjacent to the window. The spot where the supervisors had been seated when they visited.
Kratos was seated on the bench cushion there.
"Oh..." His brows furrowed in surprise.
"What a wonderful delicacy you have here. Good enough, it was still warm when I began to feed myself," Kratos said to him with a mouthful of omelette, his voice light.
Meanwhile, that moment turned out to be the perfect moment for Tony to crash out and collapse onto his bed... unconscious.
