Chapter 29: Spirit Flame
Marx waited for ten minutes before a tall woman wearing a blue gown walked in. She took the seat in front of him.
Because of her gown, her curves were fully displayed. At the same time, there were a few cuts around her clothes, revealing white skin.
Her eyes were sharp, but there was a hint of a teasing smile at her lips.
"So, what would you like to sell, Little Brother?"
Marx’s lips twitched at that word. But he quickly adjusted his expression and said.
"I want to sell these."
He waved his hand, and several bottles appeared on the table, many of them holding more than ten pills.
They were divided by colors: red, white, blue, and yellow.
Yellow Pills were healing pills. Blue Pills were Qi-Enhancing Pills. White Pills were Qi Recovery Pills.
Red Pills were Blood Empowering Pills.
"Oh? Qi Enhancing Pills, Qi Recovery Pills, Healing Pills, and Blood Empowering Pills. All of them are Fine-Grade as well."
"You are quite a talented alchemist. What should I call you?"
"Tyler!"
Although the woman felt something was off about that name, it was a generic name, so she didn’t think much.
"Okay, Tyler! I can see forty Qi Enhancing Pills, Fifty Qi Recovery Pills, Thirty-five Healing Pills, and fifteen Blood Empowering Pills."
"One Qi-Enhancing Pill costs five Spirit Stones or Fifty Silver Coins. One Qi Recovery Pill costs two Spirit Stones." freewёbnoνel.com
"One Healing Pill costs three Spirit Stones, and a Blood Empowering Pill costs ten Spirit Stones."
"Your total is four hundred and fifty-five spirit stones."
Hearing that, Marx nodded.
He knew the cost of these pills. While buying, they would cost exactly double for the buyers.
This was simply done to keep the power security guards in the Treasure House.
After all, in a world where strength was everything, it was very easy for a cultivator to raid these houses if they didn’t have proper security.
The stronger the security, the more it would cost them. That’s why prices were generally doubled here.
"I understand. Do you sell Spirit Flames here?"
Marx asked.
A look of surprise appeared in her eyes, followed by a nod.
"Yes, indeed! But are you sure you can afford one? They cost five thousand Spirit Stones."
Although Marx was expecting it to be high, he didn’t expect it to be this high. Then, he thought about the preciousness of the Spirit Flames.
There were three kinds of Spirit Flames: Natural Flame, Beast Flame, and Heavenly Flames.
Natural Flames were flames born in specific ways, like in a volcano or inside the Dantian of a person with Fire Spiritual Root.
Beast Flames were flames that were born with the monster beasts. They were unique because not all beasts with the Fire Attribute could possess Beast Flame.
Finally, Heavenly Flames were basically the Flames of Gods. Only people with exceptional destiny and talent could wield them.
So, Marx was only expecting to buy either a Natural Flame or a lower-ranking Beast Flame.
But even this kind of flame costs too much for him. Unless he was willing to spend his Gacha Points, it would be impossible to buy this flame from here.
"Why does it cost so much? How are you still able to sell it?"
Marx couldn’t help but ask.
The woman didn’t reply immediately; instead took out a pouch full of four hundred and fifty-five spirit stones.
"Let’s go to another room!"
She said while putting those jars into her spatial ring.
Marx nodded and put the pouch inside his spatial ring. Then, he followed her to the Seller section, where he was taken to the second floor once again.
As they settled in a room, the woman began explaining.
"Spirit Flame isn’t something one could get easily. First of all, Heavenly Flames are impossible to buy and sell."
"The high-level Beast Flames require manpower we can’t afford to hire. So, only Natural Flames and low-level Beast Flames are found in Treasure House."
"But to buy a single Natural Flame from a dying Foundation-Established Cultivator, it would cost us two or three thousand spirit stones."
"That’s the lowest amount we need to spend. It could go higher based on the cultivation of the dying cultivator and their requirements."
"For example, some cultivators wouldn’t sell their Spiritual Flames to others because they want their children to inherit them."
"So, we have to pay extra just to convince them and buy it. As for the beast, only the Adult Beast can produce a Beast Flame."
"So, we have to specifically search for Adult Beast with Fire Bloodline before getting our hands on one of those flames."
"Now, do you understand?"
Marx nodded.
The woman continued.
"Normally, alchemists wouldn’t buy a Spirit Flame simply because those who choose to become an alchemist will possess Fire Spiritual Root."
"The fact you could refine these pills without your own fire means your control over spiritual sense is exceptionally high."
"This is a talent that most alchemists would kill to achieve. Of course, they can’t take it from anyone else."
"But once you buy a proper flame, I believe your alchemy will improve significantly. So, would you like to take a loan?"
At this moment, the woman was almost sure that he would buy the Spirit Flame. After all, it was a crucial part of alchemy.
But she didn’t know Marx.
Instead of asking her about the loan system, he asked.
"Do you sell the information about Beast Flame?"
This surprised the woman.
"Didn’t you hear what I said? Only Adult Beasts possess a Beast Flame."
"I know. That’s why I am asking. Do you sell the information about the Beast with Beast Flame?"
Marx nodded and asked again.
Seeing his confident look, the woman hesitated.
She didn’t understand why he would be so confident in his strength. She released her Divine Sense to test his cultivation.
Only for her to find something abnormal.
She couldn’t feel Marx’s Qi. There was not a single drop of Qi in his body.
If he hadn’t used his Qi to take out those jars from his spatial ring, she would’ve assumed that he was just a mortal.
’No! Why don’t I know him? I should know every single genius in the State of Drunken Immortal, but I have never seen his face.’
’Why is there a genius that I know nothing about?’
At this moment, the woman was sure that Marx was a genius with an immense fighting power and alchemy talent.
But this made him even more enticing to her, even though she knew nothing about him.
She released a deep breath and said.
"Of course, we sell information. There has been a sighting of an Early Stage Adult Beast with Fire Bloodline near the Raicho Mountain Range."
"This information is free for you. We, Taixu Treasure House, would like to be your trading partners."
Hearing her words, Marx’s eyes flickered with surprise as he gently smiled and stood up. He stretched out his hand and said.
"I would love to be your trading partner. By the way, I would also like to buy some ingredients."
He immediately took out the lists of three different pills.
Foundation Establishment Pill, Soul Enhancing Pill, and Body Tempering Pill.
Body Tempering Pill was a second-rank pill and a superior pill of the Blood Empowering Pill.
Soul Enhancing Pill was also a second-rank pill with the ability to improve one’s soul.
Foundation Establishment Pill was also the second-rank pill that was used to enter the Foundation Establishment Realm.
Of course, some geniuses didn’t need this pill. Mark knew he also didn’t need these pills, but he didn’t mind using them to speed up his progress.
After all, the faster he improved, the faster he could bring his sister out of the tower.
"Xenya, bring everything on this list!"
The woman called another worker, giving her the list as she sat down. She took out some cups and started making tea for both of them.
"By the way, I haven’t introduced myself. My name is Tina, from Swift Family. Are you from outside the State? I have never heard about you before."
Marx nodded.
"My family was destroyed, so I had no choice but to leave my homeland and flee to the State of Drunken Immortal."
Tina narrowed her eyes. She couldn’t help but feel suspicious of this reasoning. Even so, she changed the conversation immediately.
"I’m sorry to hear that. Do you know I also have a niece just as talented as you? She has already reached the Ninth Stage of Qi Sea Realm."
"If you don’t mind, I would like to introduce you to her. Her name is Sonya. She is a very beautiful and talented girl."
When Tina began introducing her niece, Marx almost spat out the tea.
Fortunately, he controlled himself and said.
"Sorry, but I would like to focus on my cultivation and take my revenge."
"It’s okay. I am not forcing you. But it’s always good to have a few friends, don’t you think? You are new to this state and probably know no one."
Marx rolled his eyes and inwardly grumbled.
’Out of all the people, why did I have to hear that name?’
