Chapter 209: 209: Yanderes Are Scary
"Kyaaaahhhh!"
"Ahhhhh!"
"Kill me! Please kill me!"
"Please!!! Please... please..."
Blood-curdling cries of pain and despair bounced off the walls. Fresh blood splattered across the ground as the once beautiful brown-skinned woman was reduced to a fleshy, scarred mess from head to toe. Her skin had been peeled off in large strips, leaving her entire body dyed a deep red with blood.
Tears and snot ran down her disfigured face while a puddle of yellow liquid spread between her trembling legs.
She struggled to crawl across the ground, her trembling hands stretching out until they finally grasped one of the legs of the three women standing before her. She looked up at them with a ruined, ugly face, her eyes filled with utter despair and pleading. "Forgive me... I was wrong... I am a sinner... Please kill me... kill me, please... I can’t take it anymore!"
Everything had changed so quickly. One moment, she had been at the peak of her strength after using Ophis’s power. The next, before she even had the chance to use it, she was struck by a sneak attack and knocked unconscious without even recognizing the culprit.
When she regained her senses, she found herself in a dark, filthy room, where these three humans she had once looked down upon began torturing her while spouting nonsense about showing her the greatness of their Lord and Savior.
At first, she resisted defiantly. With her pride as the true Leviathan Satan, how could she ever beg lowly humans to spare her? But after enduring hours of torture, all her fortitude collapsed.
They used every method she could imagine. What was even more frightening was how those three girls spoke to each other so casually, exchanging tips as if they were learning something new while experimenting on her!
Thick iron needles had been driven under her fingernails and toenails, then slowly twisted and heated until the nails cracked and split. Several of her fingers and toes had already been crushed by heavy metal vices, the bones reduced to powder.
A thick metal rod, glowing red from the fire, had been repeatedly inserted into her most sensitive places, searing her from the inside out. At the same time, jagged hooks attached to chains pulled at the torn edges of her flesh, stretching and ripping it further with every convulsion of her body.
They didn’t spare her face either. After disfiguring it completely, they rubbed her wounds with salt and vinegar, sending unbearable stinging pain through her body, forcing her to scream until her voice turned hoarse.
Even so, that was something she could still endure. freewebnøvel.com
What truly broke her mental fortitude was what the seemingly innocent blonde nun did.
"How pitiful. It must have been painful, right, Katerea-san? Don’t worry, soon, very soon, this pain will go away," Asia knelt down in front of her, her expression filled with pity and compassion. A soft green light gathered in her hands as she brought them toward Katerea.
"Noo! Noo! Please! Don’t, don’t! I don’t want to! I can’t take it anymore!" Katerea screamed in horror as, right before her eyes, all her wounds began to close under Asia’s Twilight Healing. Under normal circumstances, she would have welcomed this, but not now. Because the moment she was healed, they would begin again, starting a new round of torture, trying even more methods.
The other two girls were insane, but this nun was the most terrifying of them all. She was the one who had been suggesting all those strange and disturbing ideas from the very beginning!
"There, there, don’t cry. Don’t cry. I know you regretted your actions and are willing to turn a new page." Asia’s smile remained kind and forgiving as she caressed Katerea’s face with her gentle voice, "Did you memorize what we taught you?"
"Yes! I did! I did!" Katerea flinched at the touch, but nodded her head frantically. "I remembered everything!"
"Now, recite it." Asia retracted her hand, stood up, clapped her hands happily, and tilted her head cutely.
Xenovia and Irina tilted their heads cutely at the same time. The church trio spoke together in a sweet voice, "If you fail this time again, you’ll get punished~!"
"...Yes!" Tears streamed down Katerea’s face as she forced a truly ugly smile and nodded her head.
...
Smoke still rose from several areas as people hurried in every direction, trying to put out the fires and rescue the injured. Above the densely populated city, several figures flew through the air, rushing to report to the woman hovering high above.
"...Those crazy bastards, damn it!" Serafall clenched her fists, gritting her teeth as she stared at the destruction left behind by the Khaos Brigade terrorists. The members of the Old Satan Faction had always been extreme. They disregarded innocent lives without hesitation, all for the sake of spreading chaos and fear, and causing trouble for the new Satans and the current government.
When Serafall arrived, she was met with scenes of destruction everywhere. The culprits had split into different groups and scattered among the population, hiding while causing as much damage as possible. She had to track them down alongside her subordinates, and by the time she captured them, they had already caused significant damage.
At the same time, something about this felt off. The Old Satan Faction had been quiet for a long while now. She hadn’t expected them to suddenly make a move like this.
What confused her the most was their goal. If they only wanted to cause destruction, why choose the Sitri territory specifically? Was it because they hated her? But when it came to hatred, Sirzechs should have been their primary target. He had been the ace of the Anti-Satan faction and the one who had dealt them the greatest blows.
It almost felt as if they were trying to distract her from something.
She had already contacted Sona and the others in the Human World, and even reached out to other Satans to confirm if anything unusual had happened. Everything seemed normal.
"Really strange... how suspicious."
"Anyway, since I’m already here, I should go visit Ajuka." Serafall tried to piece things together, but no clear answer came to mind. In the end, she pushed the thought aside. A wide, perverted grin spread across her face, making the subordinates below her shudder as she rubbed her hands together excitedly. "I wonder if he made the thing I asked him."
...
"I am just a young teenage boy, can’t I just enjoy my non adult life?!"
After chatting with Azazel, Yusuke didn’t stay any longer. He had completely lost the mood to relax and play games. What Azazel told him had left him irritated.
Why the fuck would they choose this goddamn place for something so important?!
"I don’t want to get involved in any annoying politics, but it looks like I’ll get dragged into it anyway," Yusuke shook his head, feeling frustrated. He just wanted to live peacefully with his yandere women. Was that really too much to ask?
[That’s because you are weak. If you were strong enough, you wouldn’t have to give a single fuck about any of this. If something bothers you, you could just slap it out of existence.] B2 said casually.
"That’s a bit extreme... but I have to agree with you," Yusuke let out a heavy sigh. He didn’t like abusing his strength, but what B2 said wasn’t wrong. Even if he stayed out of the conflict between the three factions, even if no one targeted him directly, there were still countless lunatics out there. Terrorists, chaos seekers, people like the ones Azazel mentioned, all of them capable of ruining his idea of a peaceful life.
People who wanted to destroy the world and rebuild it just so they could rule it.
Like, what the hell?
Do these idiots think they are characters from some Cold War era movies?
Yusuke rubbed his face and forced himself to stop thinking about all of that. What he wanted right now was to return to his cute, lovely women and soothe his heart, so he immediately used Observation Haki to check on them.
During his fight with Sirzechs, he had spent a portion of his skill points to raise Observation Haki and Fire Dragon Slayer Magic to Lv10, the maximum level a skill could reach.
At this point, both were at their peak. When he upgraded Observation Haki, its range expanded to a ridiculous extent. Right now, he could cover not only all of Japan with his Haki, but most of Asia as well, though he didn’t constantly push it to that limit since it would drain him unnecessarily.
The most significant change, however, was the ability he had unlocked, future sight. By focusing intensely, he could peer two seconds into the future, although it came with a ten-second cooldown.
The first thing he sensed was that all the women, except Serafall, were in Kuoh Town. Most of them were at his place. Others, like Xenovia, Irina, and Asia, seemed to be in an underground area in the house next to his. He could vaguely tell what they were doing, and it seemed they were with someone else whose aura was extremely weak and fluctuating constantly.
Yusuke decided to ignore it for now.
Observation Haki wasn’t some omniscient ability that allowed him to see everything clearly. At best, he could perceive the auras and faint outlines of people, but even that was incredibly practical.
On the other hand, he sensed Isabella’s aura. She was outside, and it seemed like she was riding a bike.
"Let’s go see her," Yusuke thought for a moment before flying toward her. He hadn’t spent much time alone with Isabella at all. This felt like a good opportunity to get to know her better and enjoy some time together.
A night date sounded like a good idea.
