Chapter 107: Teasing Princess
Inside the club, the air was thick and tasted like a mix of expensive perfume and cheap sweat. It was packed with teenagers from all over, everyone dancing, grinding, or just doing some kind of random shit to the beat of the music. The bass was so loud I could feel it thumping in my throat.
I was standing between Dave and Katie, trying to look like I belonged there. I was holding a plastic cup of beer, but my focus wasn’t on the drink. My eyes were busy darting through the strobe lights, searching for any sign of Princess and Malo.
Seriously, Katie’s eyes were still on me, tracking my every move like she was waiting for me to glitch.
"Yo, why aren’t you drinking?" Katie asked, her voice cutting through the noise.
"What?" I shouted back over the music.
"That’s your favorite beer, isn’t it? You haven’t even taken a sip," she said, pointing at my full cup.
"Hahaha, I’ve had too many tonight and I don’t think I can take any more," I said, giving her a fake, strained smile.
"Come on, Faye, we haven’t seen each other for two months plus. This calls for a celebration, our reunion," Dave said. He was already in the zone, cuddling his girlfriend in a slow, swaying dance while still looking at me.
I lifted the cup and pretended to take a long sip, but I kept my lips pressed tight so I didn’t actually swallow a drop. Just when I thought I’d fooled them, Katie reached out and gave the bottom of the cup a sharp shove so I would actually drink. Some of the liquid splashed into my mouth, and I jerked back, coughing, while the rest of it poured down the front of my hoodie.
"Bitch, what the fuck is wrong with you? Are you trying to choke me to death?" I snapped, wiping my mouth with the back of my hand.
"Yo, just trying to play cool. You’re looking and acting strange," she said. She reached out, trying to dust the liquid off my chest, but I swiped her hands away.
"I’ll go find a restroom to clean up," I said, not waiting for an answer. I needed to get away from them before they noticed anything else. frёewebnoѵēl.com
I was weaving through the sweaty bodies on my way to the back when I bumped right into Malo. He was standing near a pillar, his eyes sharp and scanning the room.
"Hey, what the," I stopped, staring at him. He looked like he was on a mission. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
"How did you get in?" he asked, his eyebrows shooting up in surprise.
"Help from a friend. Where is Princess?" I asked, leaning in close so he could hear me.
"She’s over there, not doing good. This place is fucking lit. I saw this dude distributing drugs, the same one Leo gives us to distribute. I just don’t understand what makes this place different," Malo said, shaking his head as he looked around the crowded floor.
"The club is attracting outsiders. They’re talking about some race shit. I didn’t ask fully," I explained, my eyes finally landing on the bar. I spotted Princess slumped over the counter. She was having a shot, her hands over her head like she was trying to block out the world. "I’m going to talk to her."
I navigated the crowd and hopped onto the stool next to her. She was staring down at her glass, playing with the rim of the drink.
"Are you alone tonight, beautiful lady?" I said.
She turned to look at me, and for a split second, she looked confused. "How did you make it in, Omega?" she asked, a slow smile spreading across her face. The boredom she’d been wearing just vanished the moment she saw it was me.
"I’m just meeting you for the first time. I don’t know you. So, are you alone tonight, beautiful lady?" I said, leaning on the bar and trying to keep the game going. Her brows lifted, her smile widening as she caught on.
"Yes, I am all alone. Maybe you could join me and maybe hit my little den," she teased.
"Are you single?" I asked, tilting my head.
"Yes, I am. But you might be my plus one for tonight," she said, leaning closer.
"Bitch, what the fuck, man? So you fucked someone else than me?"
"What are you fucking saying?" She blinked, looking startled by the sudden shift.
"I’m a stranger talking to the girl at the club, and you’re lying that you’re single, when you have a bitch you knocked up who is probably inside your fucking car!"
"Omega, you are insane. You are the bitch I fucking knocked up. You’re the only one I do this shit for. If you were someone else, I wouldn’t even look at her face," Princess said. She reached out, trying to grab my hand, but I folded my arms over my chest, not giving her the chance.
"I told you I was someone else, not your omega. I am a stranger talking to you right now. So let’s do this again," I said, leaning in even closer until our noses almost touched. "Hey, beautiful lady, are you alone?"
She looked frustrated by my act, her jaw tightening. I heard her mutter something under her breath, probably calling me some unrecognized name... before she forced a smile again.
"I have a mate friend who is right now in my car. I am not alone," she said, her voice dropping into a husky tone.
"But I don’t see her here, which means you need some company. Someone to play with you a little."
"I play with my mate friend only, and I don’t think she’ll like you being this close. She punches, and her punch can break a jaw," Princess said. I leaned in even further, leaving absolutely no space between us. I could feel the heat radiating off her.
"I don’t mind getting punched. A little taste of you wouldn’t be a problem."
I didn’t give her time to respond. I kissed her straight on the mouth.
Damn it, this fucking bitch just let me kiss her, and she didn’t even try to push me away or act like she was loyal to the mate in the car. Instead, she wrapped her hands around my waist, pulling me so I could lean in closer, deepening the kiss right there in front of everyone.
I finally pulled away from her, though I stayed close enough to feel her breath.
"You fucking cheater," I muttered against her lips.
"This isn’t considered cheating because I’m kissing my mate," Princess said, her eyes fixed on my mouth like she wanted more. Even if I was a little annoyed she didn’t play the stranger game properly, I let it pass because of the way she was looking at me.
"We’ll play this game another time, and you better win next time," I muttered.
"I never lose. And why do you smell and taste like alcohol?" she asked, her nose wrinkling slightly as we continued kissing softly.
"Yo, Faye, I see you’re getting it done."
The voice was like a bucket of ice water. It was Dave. I stopped kissing Princess and turned around, still keeping my body pressed close to hers. I looked up to see my friends staring at us, their expressions a mix of shock and amusement.
