Chapter 115: Chapter 99: Holy Moly! A Complete Set of the ’3 Ancient Divine Artifacts

"Of course. You can go take a look too, Wu Jing!" Su Chen said, turning to him.

Yu Qian and Wu Jing’s circle only had a few hobbies—either horse riding or collecting. This was especially true for the senior member of their group, Ma Weidu, who even had his own private museum.

To be honest, the twelve Zodiac heads were really just fountain spouts from the Yuanming Garden. In terms of value, they were a fair bit less precious than other artifacts. They couldn’t be considered national treasures, just valuable cultural relics at best. The only reason they were so famous now was because foreign investors and auction houses were pulling the strings behind the scenes.

Although the twelve beast heads weren’t valuable enough to be national treasures, they held a different significance. They represented the countless other Chinese artifacts scattered across the globe. The return of the heads... gave many people a glimmer of hope that those lost relics might one day come home.

Yu Qian and Wu Jing wasted no time. They walked briskly into the living room and gathered around the beast heads, studying them intently.

Watching their intense focus, a smug smile crept onto Su Chen’s lips.

After about the time it takes to drink two cups of tea, Yu Qian and Wu Jing returned, looking as though they hadn’t had their fill.

"So, what made you two think of coming over today? Is something up?"

Su Chen waited until they were seated before asking. After all, they were both busy men. One was occupied with his horses and performances, while the other was preparing for *Wolf Warrior 2*. Why would they have time to visit him together?

Unless they needed something from him.

Su Chen’s question finally reminded the two of the main reason for their visit.

"Mr. Su, the film investment company is getting ready to open, and we’d like to invite you to the ribbon-cutting ceremony!" Wu Jing, being a professional in this field, had been quick to establish the company, getting it done in less than a month.

"A ribbon-cutting ceremony?" Su Chen hadn’t expected this to be the reason for their visit.

After a moment of thought, Su Chen declined Wu Jing’s proposal. "I’ll skip the ribbon-cutting. I don’t like being in the spotlight. You could ask Sicong, though. He doesn’t have much going on lately, and his fame could generate some good publicity for the company."

The two men’s eyes lit up at his words. In truth, they had suspected Su Chen would probably refuse them when they came.

But a refusal was one thing; they still had to show the proper respect. After all, Su Chen was their company’s majority shareholder. Not even consulting him about the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony would be a very poor career move.

Perhaps thinking of their relationship with Sicong, Su Chen added, "Leave it to me. I’ll give him a call. By the way, where and when is the ceremony?"

"The Gaobeidian Cultural Industry Park, the afternoon of the day after tomorrow," Wu Jing replied quickly.

"Alright. I’ll call Sicong in a bit and tell him about it."

After they finished their official business, Su Chen expected Yu Qian and Wu Jing to leave. To his surprise, neither of them showed any sign of going. Instead, they brazenly pointed out that it was almost noon and they should just stay for a free lunch. One look at their faces and Su Chen knew exactly what their game was. They were just after his Maotai.

’It’s all Sicong’s fault. That big mouth can’t keep a secret to save his life!’

Seeing the expectant looks in their eyes, Su Chen sighed and had Jiang Hui make the arrangements, telling him to bring out a bottle of vintage Maotai as well.

In the end, the entire bottle of vintage liquor ended up in their stomachs. But aside from slightly flushed faces and the smell of alcohol on their breath, they were completely fine.

"That was my last bottle. Don’t go getting any more bright ideas in the future."

Hearing this, a flicker of embarrassment crossed both Yu Qian’s and Wu Jing’s faces. It looked like their chances of drinking such fine Maotai again were gone.

"When you’re about to leave, remember to find Old Jiang. I’ve had a gift prepared for each of you."

"A gift?" Wu Jing was stunned. Not only did they get to freeload a meal and drinks, but they were also getting gifts on their way out.

Anything from Su Chen was guaranteed to be top-quality.

Now, both of them were getting excited about what the gift could be.

The three of them chatted for a while longer before Yu Qian and Wu Jing said their goodbyes. The main reason was that Yu Qian had a crosstalk performance that day, and he’d be late if they didn’t get going.

"Oh, right. Old Yu, where around the Imperial Capital can I buy some antique porcelain? I don’t even mind if they’re replicas, as long as they look nice."

Yu Qian had only taken a couple of steps toward the door when Su Chen called out to him.

"Replicas? Porcelain? Mr. Su, are you planning to buy some to decorate the house?" As soon as Yu Qian heard this, he thought for a moment and understood what Su Chen was planning.

"Yeah. Some parts of the house feel a bit empty. I’m thinking of getting a few things to fill the space."

It wasn’t that Su Chen was short on cash—he could certainly afford authentic pieces. But buying genuine antiques these days was a hassle. Not only was it time-consuming and draining, but there was also no guarantee you wouldn’t end up with a fake anyway. So, he figured he might as well cut to the chase and buy replicas from the start.

Yu Qian thought for a moment before saying, "If you’re not in a hurry, Mr. Su, I can go with you tomorrow. Places like Pan Garden, Liulichang, and the Baoguo Temple market have plenty of replicas. As for scoring a hidden gem, I’m afraid that’s nearly impossible these days. The sellers have all wised up."

"I’ll just go by myself. I only plan on browsing," Su Chen said, declining Yu Qian’s kind offer after a moment’s thought. He had nothing else to do at home today anyway, so he was planning to head over to Pan Garden for a look around.

"Alright, then," Yu Qian could only nod. He then gave Su Chen a rundown of some of the unwritten rules and common scams of the antique markets, just in case someone tried to swindle him.
