Chapter 113: Chapter 98: Advising Me to Donate It? The Audacity! Is It a Size 42?

Hou Ting and Chen Feiyu also finished their races quickly.

Surprisingly, the person in last place wasn’t Su Chen... but Chen Feiyu!

The reason was simple. Cars in Xiangjiang are right-hand drive. When he switched to a left-hand drive, Chen Feiyu was brimming with confidence, thinking it would be so easy, but reality taught him a harsh lesson.

It took him a full eighteen minutes to complete three laps.

The group had fun until five in the afternoon, when Chen Feiyu led them straight to a two-star Michelin Cantonese restaurant on the Bund.

Su Chen went easy when ordering, but Qin Fen and Si Cong were a different story. Operating on the principle of taking this rare opportunity to fleece Chen Feiyu, they ordered a ton of food, making him miserable just watching.

After all, who wouldn’t be upset seeing a tenth of their allowance disappear in one go?

After dinner, Qin Fen suggested hitting a bar for round two, but Su Chen immediately refused. The reason was simple: he had a morning flight to the Imperial Capital.

Seeing that Su Chen wasn’t going, Si Cong offered to see him home. As for Chen Feiyu and Hou Ting, they weren’t big fans of bars either, so they all agreed to call it a night and go their separate ways.

"This is the life!"

Early in the morning, Su Chen, Jiang Hui, Chen Fei, and the others drove to the airport. Without any obstruction, they passed right through the private jet terminal gate, drove onto the tarmac, and parked under Su Chen’s private plane.

It’s worth mentioning that Su Chen had named his large plane "Yunmengze." This was inspired by the Wang family’s "Wada." So, Su Chen decided to name it after his company, which would also serve to boost the company’s profile.

The four of them sat at the dining table, enjoying the breakfast and fruit served by the flight attendant.

"I never even dreamed a day like this would come!" Chen Fei said with a look of pure satisfaction, leaning back in his chair.

Xiao Peng chimed in from the side, "Yeah, forget private jets. Back then, I had to mentally prepare myself just to fly economy!"

Hearing this, Su Chen smiled at the two of them. "Hahaha! Life will keep getting better!"

Chen Fei and Xiao Peng exchanged a look, then turned to Su Chen with determination in their eyes and nodded firmly.

"Oh, right. Where are those two big things?"

Su Chen had just remembered the beast heads he’d gone to great lengths to acquire in Paris.

"I have them. I’ll go get them!" Chen Fei immediately stood up and walked toward the back of the cabin.

He soon returned carrying two boxes wrapped in cloth.

He opened them, revealing the snake and ram heads to everyone.

"Old Jiang, once we’re back in the Imperial Capital, have two glass display cases custom-made to these dimensions. We’ll place these two directly in the central courtyard’s reception hall, somewhere anyone who visits is sure to see them!"

"Also, make sure the dozens of cases of red wine on the plane are stored properly! That’s good stuff; don’t let it go to waste!"

"Rest assured, Sir. The courtyard house has a dedicated wine cellar where the temperature is maintained between 12 and 18 degrees Celsius." A small notebook had appeared in Jiang Hui’s hand, and he was writing down all of Su Chen’s instructions.

After landing at the Imperial Capital airport, Su Chen and his group encountered a minor incident while going through security.

Even though they could enter and exit quickly through the private jet channel, they still had to go through security. What if someone tried to transport illegal items on board?

When the security staff saw the snake and ram heads on the scanner, they were a bit stunned. One of them, not thinking, casually asked, "Are these replicas?"

"No, they’re authentic," Su Chen replied without much thought.

The security personnel were instantly rattled and wanted to invite Su Chen and his group for "a cup of tea." But Su Chen, having anticipated this, simply pulled out the relevant certificate proving he had brought them back from abroad.

Su Chen had previously considered that bringing these two beast heads back would inevitably cause some trouble. After all, he’d seen plenty of treasure-hunting shows and knew that cultural relics were supposed to be turned over to the state—unless you could prove they were purchased abroad or were family heirlooms.

To avoid making trouble for himself, Su Chen had Arno issue a certificate of gift, which was even stamped with the Arno family’s ancestral seal.

Just then, a middle-aged man who appeared to be an airport official popped out of nowhere and said with a hint of arrogance, "Sir, this snake head and ram head are important national treasures. I hope you will donate them so that more people can learn about the return of these two artifacts."

"As it happens, I know some senior figures at the National Museum. I can connect you and arrange for a grand donation ceremony!"

In response, Su Chen didn’t even give him the time of day. Without a single glance, he had Xiao Peng pack up the items, and they simply walked away from the private jet security checkpoint.

The airport official’s face turned ashen as he watched them leave. Unable to find a reason to stop them and feeling that he’d lost face, the official barked, "Find out who those people were!"

Where there are people watching a show, there are bound to be suck-ups.

A security officer immediately checked the records. When he saw the information displayed on the computer, his mouth fell open, and his expression turned grim.

Seeing this, the official’s brow furrowed even more deeply, and he strode over.

When he saw the record on the computer, the official’s angry face instantly turned deathly pale. He couldn’t even keep his footing, stumbling back several steps. A nearby gawking security officer quickly reached out and caught him, preventing him from falling to the ground.

The airport official, having collected himself, pretended to be composed and left the security area. If it weren’t for his trembling legs, one might have actually thought he was fearless.

The other security officers, seeing their boss get shut down, couldn’t help but snicker secretly.

"Skinner Chen really thinks he’s all that, huh? Just opens his mouth and expects people to donate. He really thinks his name is worth its weight in gold!"

"I know, right? And the guy completely ignored him. Did you see the look on his face? It was hilarious!"

"Hey, quick, check and see who he is! He scared Skinner Chen so bad his legs went weak!"

The crowd immediately pushed the suck-up officer aside. When they saw the information on the computer, they all gasped.

"Holy shit! It’s a privately owned large jet! And it’s a new Bombardier 7500 series, worth over five hundred million!!"

"Good lord, no wonder the Skinner was scared stiff. This guy is a real big shot!"

"Isn’t that obvious? Those two beast heads are worth over a hundred million. You can’t bring something like that back from abroad without some serious power. Skinner Chen really messed with the wrong person this time. It would be even better if that guy could just ’squash’ him for good!"

Su Chen was unaware of what had happened at the security checkpoint. Even if he had known, he would have just chuckled.
