Chapter 53: Chapter 53: A Turning Point
The male student looked displeased, but since he knew he was the one in the wrong, he could only walk away with a sullen expression.
One student whispered to another, "What’s with Yuna Rhodes today? She’s on such a short fuse."
"Who knows? If you didn’t know better, you might think she was the one who wrote that post."
Upon hearing this, Yuna Rhodes shot them a cold glare. Her eyelid twitched, and her voice grew taut. "What did you say?"
The whispering student froze, taking a few frightened steps back and shaking his head. "N-Nothing."
Yuna Rhodes looked grim, but inside, she was panicking even more.
She opened her homework and buried her head in it, trying to hide her fear.
But even so, she remained distracted throughout class.
After class, she was holding her water cup and found herself unconsciously wandering to the doorway of Class 7.
She saw a group of students from Class 7 gathered around Chloe Sinclair.
"Chloe, those reporters didn’t give you a hard time yesterday, did they?"
"I was up until three in the morning fighting the haters for you. Seriously, the trolls online are heartless. But don’t worry, I flamed the ones slandering you so badly they probably cried."
"I hope the police hurry up and find out who made that post. If we find out who it is, we definitely won’t let them get away with it!"

Yuna Rhodes’s scalp instantly prickled with fear. She turned robotically and bolted, as if something was chasing her from behind.
A student from Class 7 happened to look up and see Yuna Rhodes’s retreating figure, muttering, "Why’s she running so fast?"
A faint smile touched Chloe Sinclair’s lips. "Maybe she has something to feel guilty about."
As she spoke, her gaze drifted past them, landing on a row of porcelain-white wall tiles.
Seeing Chloe Sinclair staring outside, the group of students followed her gaze, but they found nothing there.
—
Yuna Rhodes didn’t know how she made it back to the classroom.
When she returned, she scared her deskmate half to death.
Yuna Rhodes’s face was haggard and ashen, like that of a corpse.
It wasn’t even summer, yet beads of sweat formed on her forehead and trickled down her face.
She could barely get through the day. When noon finally came, she had no choice but to ask her homeroom teacher to be excused.
Seeing her pale face and colorless lips, the homeroom teacher assumed she was genuinely ill and granted Yuna Rhodes’s request without a second thought.
Yuna Rhodes returned home in a daze, only to find that her father, Mr. Rhodes, was unexpectedly there.
"Dad..." A flash of panic crossed Yuna Rhodes’s eyes.
Mr. Rhodes looked haggard, and his tone was harsh. "Shouldn’t you be at school right now? What are you doing back here?"
Yuna Rhodes sounded hurt. "I’m not feeling well."
Even so, the dominant expression in Mr. Rhodes’s eyes was impatience.
Ever since returning from the banquet, his business had plummeted.
Furthermore, he had already settled on collaborations with several long-time partners, but they had all backed out at the contract-signing stage.
In just a few short days, the company’s situation had gone from bad to worse, to the point where they were running out of operating capital.
’First, my son slips up and pushes the eldest son of the Beckett family, and then my daughter shows up at a banquet to hurl insults at the eldest daughter of the Sinclair family.’
’The more I think about it, the worse my headache gets. I can’t fathom how I’d fathered two such little hellions.’
The more Mr. Rhodes thought about it, the angrier he became, and he let out a curse under his breath.
KNOCK KNOCK—
Suddenly, there was a knock at the front door.
Mr. Rhodes initially planned to ignore it, but the knocking was relentless.

Sticking out his potbelly, Mr. Rhodes stomped over, his face dark as he grumbled under his breath.
However, when he saw who it was, his expression cracked. "P-Police?"
