Su Li went into the office but didn’t see any professor. Instead, she found Ye Xilan standing there, arms crossed, watching her with a cold expression.

Ye Xilan didn’t answer right away. First, she issued a warning.

Ye Xilan unhurriedly lifted her teacup. She gently blew the leaves floating on the surface to the side and took two delicate, elegant sips.

After speaking, Su Li glanced at the time again. "I’ll just pretend I didn’t hear anything you said today. I’m going to class now."
"Sit back down! How dare you—" It had been many, many years since Ye Xilan had been so blatantly ignored and disrespected.
Su Li cut her off. "Madam, I don’t care what rumors you want to spread about me at this school. But remember this: I’m a big believer in returning the favor. I’ll be more than happy to publicize your little ’declaration of power’ for you."
Ye Xilan was so furious she looked like she might keel over. "You dare threaten me!"

Su Li studied Ye Xilan’s expression. She didn’t look like she was lying, which made Su Li’s brow furrow slightly.

"Answer me. What did you mean by that?" Ye Xilan demanded, her expression turning ugly.
When she had first found out that Wu Sheng was with Su Li, she couldn’t help but go see her. But after Wu Sheng learned about it, he’d struck back, leaving Ye Xilan to deal with the messy fallout for a long time.
Hearing Su Li mention kidnapping, her heart skipped a beat. ’She definitely wasn’t going to take the blame for that.’
