Su Li was walking out of a room with a young man, talking and laughing.

The stunned craftsman standing nearby finally snapped out of it and rushed to pull Mrs. Tang away.

If he hadn’t pulled her or said anything, it might have been fine. But his actions and words only served to completely enrage Mrs. Tang.

Mrs. Tang spun around and started scratching and clawing at the craftsman’s face. Still gripping Su Li’s hair with one hand, she lunged at him like a wild animal, her face contorted with madness.

Wresting her hair back from Mrs. Tang’s grasp, Su Li used all her strength to wrap her arms around the older woman, who was biting and screaming like a mad dog. Mrs. Tang struggled frantically, and when she couldn’t break free from Su Li’s hold, she viciously kicked upwards at the craftsman’s groin.
"Stealing another man’s wife, are you?! I’ll make sure you can never have children! Let’s see you try to steal anyone now!"
"ARGH..." The craftsman let out a pained cry and collapsed to the ground.
"Sir..." Su Li stared at the craftsman, who was curled up on the ground with his face turning purple, a mix of shock and fury rising within her.
"You damned bitch, let go of me!" Mrs. Tang was still struggling wildly. Seeing that she couldn’t break free, she lowered her head and viciously bit down on Su Li’s hand.
"Ah!" Su Li cried out in pain, tears instantly streaming down her face.
"Let go," Mrs. Tang mumbled threateningly, her teeth still clamped firmly on Su Li’s hand.
Mrs. Tang bit down extremely hard, drawing blood almost immediately.
Su Li’s hand trembled with pain, and she almost let go of Mrs. Tang, but she gritted her teeth and held on.
"Help me. Help me call the police. Thank you."
Su Li pleaded with the onlookers who had gathered at the commotion.
The crowd didn’t know the full story, but seeing how vicious Mrs. Tang was, they worried something terrible might happen and quickly helped call the police.

Mrs. Tang finally released her bite and lifted her head to curse them.
With her mouth full of blood and her face contorted in a savage expression, she looked like a madwoman.

And on her hand, Mrs. Tang had left deep teeth marks, which were bleeding profusely and throbbing with spasmodic pain.
Su Li didn’t need to look to know how pathetic and horrifying she must appear, but she couldn’t spare it a thought.
She crawled on all fours over to the innocent craftsman who had been dragged into this. "Sir, are you okay?"
"Could you all please help me get him to the hospital? I’m begging you, please help..."
Su Li was at the hospital again, not even half a month after her last visit.
"The treatment room is this way. Come with me," a nurse said urgently when she saw Su Li.
But Su Li shook her head. "No, see him first. Please, see this gentleman first. He was kicked..."
"Okay, the doctor will see him. But your hand wound needs to be treated too. You come here first." The nurse pulled Su Li directly into the treatment room.
"How could someone bite so hard, so deep..." The nurse assisting the doctor trailed off awkwardly after seeing Su Li’s face.
"Get her an ice pack," the doctor said to the nurse after glancing at Su Li’s face.
"Okay." The nurse didn’t dare say more and hurried off.
The cold sensation on her cheek finally brought some feeling back to Su Li’s numb face.
"Thank you," she said in a low voice.
"You’re welcome," the nurse replied, shaking her head.
"Human bites can be infectious, so this wound needs to be cleaned and disinfected several times. It’s going to hurt a lot. You’ll have to bear with it," the doctor said quietly.
"It’s fine. Go ahead." ’What’s a little pain like this, anyway...’
"How is the man who was brought in with me?" Su Li asked the nurse.
"They’re still examining him. You’ll have to wait."
Su Li nodded, taking a couple of deep breaths to compose herself. "Could I borrow the hospital’s phone for a moment?"
"If it’s an emergency, yes."
After her hand was bandaged, the craftsman was still not out, so Su Li went to make the call first.
"Aunt Chang, it’s Su Li. Could you please tell Tang Yuanxiao to come to the Imperial City? His mother was taken away by the police."
"The police? What happened?" Aunt Chang exclaimed in shock.
"She misunderstood something about me and a work colleague and attacked him. I brought him to the hospital, and I don’t know his condition yet. Aunt Chang, please, have Tang Yuanxiao come as soon as possible."
Su Li hung up the phone and sank into a chair, her strength gone.
