Chapter 695: Chapter 615: A Delicacy Even the Wealthy Can’t Resist—Crab-Stuffed Oranges

In this world, not everything is better when it’s bigger, like tumors, river fish, and seafood too.

Prince Matt definitely hasn’t missed out on good food; there might be no one in this world who has eaten better than him. In their definition, good usually equals expensive.

However, expensive things generally just represent rarity, not necessarily good taste.

To the average person, a 3.5-ounce crab is already considered big, but to him, it’s still a baby, since he usually doesn’t even look at anything under two pounds. The largest one he ate weighed a full 8 pounds, where just one claw could almost fill you up.

Though such crabs are rare and expensive, that doesn’t mean they’re tastier than small crabs.

In contrast, the taste of smaller crabs is often sweeter, and the meat is more tender.

When Wang Fan poured the previously extracted crab meat into the pot, it made the simulated crab flavor even more intense, elevating the flavors of the real crab meat and roe by two grades.

The orange flesh entered the pot, its fresh and tangy taste merging with the crab flavor, not only making the taste more intense but also adding depth to its aroma.

Moreover, the golden orange flesh combined with the original ingredients in the pot, and after being heated and boiled, made the pot’s contents more and more sticky. Once fully stirred, it looked just like a pot of stir-fried crab meat, crab roe, and orange flesh — truly at a level where you couldn’t tell the real from the fake.

Wang Fan hadn’t stopped adjusting the seasoning. With a small spoon in hand, he occasionally added some sugar, white pepper, and rose vinegar to the pot. Each of his actions deepened the flavor of the crab-infused orange dish.

The crab flavor mixed with the orange aroma, like a hurricane forming its scale, striking everyone’s taste buds indiscriminately with the food truck as its center.

This aero exhibition had four dining choices, including a buffet, Chinese fast food, Western fast food, and cold chain lunch boxes.

On site, there were four restaurants labeled A, B, C, and D. Restaurant A was open to guests and exhibitors with badges. Restaurants B and C were open to everyone. Restaurant D was for volunteers.

It was now the professional exhibitors’ session; the general public hadn’t yet arrived, but the exhibitors, buyers, and volunteers were all present.

Wang Fan’s food truck wasn’t inside the four restaurants, but rather in a designated outdoor casual dining area, of course, this area wasn’t exclusively for Wang Fan. He didn’t have that much sway. Participants could buy food and come here to eat and chat with friends.

It was mealtime, and many people, led by volunteers, were heading to the cafeteria.

Yet, as they walked, their legs seemed to have a mind of their own, inexplicably drawn toward that direction.

The volunteers didn’t guide them and just followed along with the attendees.

Anyone who would remind others would be a fool; just by smelling the aroma, they knew Boss Wang was at work. With Boss Wang’s gourmet food around, options A, B, C, and D weren’t the right choices, even if there were only those four options!

Several volunteers, who met up, exchanged glances and snickered knowingly.

"What is this smell? I smell orange, and there’s a strong fresh flavor. I’ve never smelled anything so wonderful."

An older gentleman, with golden hair mixed with white, curiously asked the volunteer next to him as he walked.

Guo Shuhan smiled and explained, "I don’t know what was made, but it should be the work of a very famous gourmet from our country. Would you like to try it?"

Borg happily replied, "Of course, I’d love to. I really like Huaxia cuisine. Whenever I have time, I often go to Harbin for food. Our home is very close by."

Guo Shuhan cheerfully responded, "Isn’t that a coincidence? This gourmet’s hometown is Harbin."

Borg was very surprised, "What a coincidence? Then I must try it."

Guo Shuhan is a college student volunteering to practice spoken language. Wang Fan’s arrival was a pleasant surprise for her; she just wasn’t sure if her little wallet could afford Boss Wang’s cuisine.

After all, this culinary giant had just won the dessert championship, and who knows, he might seize the opportunity to raise prices?

No matter, no matter, this rare opportunity — even if it means living on steamed buns with pickles afterward, I must try it to see how delicious it really is!

Having made up her mind, Guo Shuhan quickened her pace, leading Borg as they jogged toward Wang Fan’s place.

"Mr. Borg, we need to hurry; his food is in high demand. If we’re late, there won’t be any left to eat."

"Faster, faster..."

Prince Matt was also urging, but only in his mind.

He originally thought those things, delicious like curry, could be eaten directly once placed in those orange bowls. But he hadn’t expected they still needed to be steamed!

Wang Fan, after filling the orange bowls with crab meat and other ingredients, closed the lids and placed them in a steamer, then set it for 18 minutes.

After finishing that, he continued hollowing out the oranges, knowing just from the queue that those already in the steamer would definitely not suffice.

Prince Matt felt a burning impatience; this feeling of seeing but not eating was something he had almost never encountered before, especially with that fresh and intoxicating aroma causing his saliva to continuously flow in his mouth without stopping.

At this moment, all he wanted to do was eat those damn oranges down to their bottoms!
