Chapter 92: A dangerous man

Parker’s POV

Small moans of pleasure slipped from my lips as Vanessa took me in her mouth, stroking, sucking, and gagging on me. Vanessa is good at what she does; no wonder she gets a long line of customers. But for some reason lately, she has started turning them away.

When I asked her, she claimed she needed rest and could only focus on her VIP clients. But her words didn’t make sense—I’m the only VIP customer she allows.

As I felt her take me deeper into her mouth, I unintentionally bucked my waist and grabbed a handful of her hair, holding her to my cock and beginning to fuck her throat. My orgasm started to build.

When I felt myself at the edge, I kept Vanessa in place, ready to empty my seed into her mouth, but the vibration of my phone pulled my attention away.

I took my phone from my pocket and saw a text from Bryce.

It must be important. I opened the text and saw a message I never expected to see so soon:

The general is back in town, and he wants to meet us by 10:00 a.m.

All feelings died from my body, and my face twisted red with anger.

I sent a displeased response: "Shit, he came back?"

His reply came almost immediately.

"See for yourself."

Shit. Shit. Shit.

"What? What is it?" Vanessa asked, watching me.

I pulled out of her mouth and sat on the bed, not bothering to put my deflated cock back in my pants.

I sent a text to Gavin.

"Are you going to do it?"

"Sure, I would!"

Shit.

"I hope you know the consequences of falsely accusing the general," I texted.

"Is it a false accusation, though?" He replied. freewebnovёl.ƈom

I sighed and typed another message: "Try not to cross the line. You know how he is."

"What? His threats? He can only threaten me with my siblings, and maybe yours too."

"Amera is here. Have you forgotten her?"

"Oh shit. I forgot."

"Try not to cross the line," I sent as my final text before dropping the phone.

"What is going on? Why are you moody?" Vanessa catwalked over and tried to touch me, but I brushed her off.

"It’s nothing you need to worry about."

"Nothing?" Vanessa scoffed. "It’s definitely something; you didn’t get to cum, I didn’t get to taste you. I’m worried."

"Vanessa," I groaned, my voice dripping with warning.

She huffed, rolled her eyes, and folded her arms. "So, are you not planning to finish up? Won’t you fuck me?"

"Maybe later. I can’t right now." I tried to stand up, but she sat on my thighs, straddling me.

"My baby’s gone soft; I wonder what caused it," she murmured, caressing my cock. "Since you’re not calling your assistants or your workers, it’s not a work problem. Is it family?"

"Yeah, it must be family," she concluded, but I didn’t respond.

"Is it her? That girl... your mate?" She frowned, saying "mate" like it was a bad word.

"Why do you even bother with her? It’s not as if you’ll end up with her anyway."

I stood, letting her slide off me.

"Get going. I need to rest; we can’t continue today." I walked to the closet and picked up a towel.

"Oh, so it’s her. Your mate," she groaned. "When are you going to give up on her? All she does is frustrate you and make you overthink. It’s time to end the bond. There are millions of women out there. Aren’t you embarrassed? You share one girl with your brothers; isn’t it shameful?"

"Vanessa, I’m really not in the mood for this. Just leave. I don’t want you here when I get back." I opened the bathroom door. I was about to go in when I heard something funny.

"I stopped taking pills two months ago, and you’re the only one I’ve seen for the last three months. And... my period is late." She paused.

Then continued, "I haven’t checked it out yet; I’m planning to go to the hospital tomorrow. The doctors will run some tests, and if it’s what I think..."

She sighed. "You know the next step."

I released the door handle and slowly turned. "What did you just say?"

"Oh, you didn’t get it?" She put her hands on her hips. "Well, I might be pregnant, Parker. I just thought you should know."

A scoff escaped me before I could stop it. "You must be out of your mind."

I opened the door and went in, locking it behind me.

She walked to the door. "Do you think I’m joking? I’m not, Parker. I might be pregnant, and the child will be yours. We’ll continue our conversation after your shower."

I ignored her and showered. When I came out, she was sitting on the edge of my bed, arms folded under her chest.

"I thought I asked you to leave," I said, retrieving a shirt and shorts.

"I was planning to spend the night here; it’s past midnight, and it’s dangerous for a potentially pregnant woman to be out at this hour."

I scoffed. "You can’t be pregnant, and even if you are, it can’t be mine."

She hissed and stood. "We can always run a DNA test, right? I’m not scared. I stopped seeing other men three months ago and focused only on you."

"You’re a sex worker; you’re under contract. Did you forget that?"

"Well, I stopped. I just didn’t tell you."

’She stopped.’

"And why is that?"

"Because I want you."

"So, you intend to trap me with a baby."

"Why can’t I? Your mother did the same thing, didn’t she? I’m just taking a page out of her—" I didn’t let her finish. I immediately wrapped my hand around her neck.

I slammed her against the closet and held her tight. "How dare you mention her? I told you never to bring her up."

She struggled, writhing and fighting to escape, but I only tightened my grip. Vanessa has a way of pushing me over the edge; give her an inch, and she takes a mile.

She thinks I developed feelings for her because of how long I kept her around.

"Parker... you’re... going to kill me," she choked. I enjoyed the sight—the paleness, the fear in her eyes.

"Amera. Maria. I told you never to speak of these two women. I warned you, but you do as you please. I could kill you and no one would bat an eye. You should have thought clearly before making deals with a man like me." I let her go when I saw her about to cross the line to the afterlife.

She dropped to the floor and coughed aggressively.

"I don’t want to see you here when I return. Our contract ends here. I can’t stay with a woman who doesn’t respect my privacy." After dressing, I walked to the door and opened it. Without looking back, I said, "And abort it—if you’re pregnant at all."

Then I walked out of the house and out of the hotel, heading to a convenience store down the street. I met him there.

"Sir, you’re here," the guy behind the counter smiled and brought out my favorite brand of cigarettes, handing them to me along with a lighter.

I accepted, lit one, leaned against the counter, and began to smoke.

"You’re one of my frequent customers, but you’ve never visited this late before." I could feel him smile. For some reason, this punk seems to like me. He’d probably piss his pants if he knew what kind of person I am—and what kind of man my father is.

"Is there a problem?" He asked.

"Why do you think so?"

"Your shoulders are stiff and your jaw is tight; your left fist is clenched. You appear rigid. I mean, you always look this way, but this is too much. Something is wrong."

"How old are you?"

"I just turned nineteen."

"How many siblings do you have?"

"Five. My mother and father love each other, so they had a lot of kids," he replied. "I guess they couldn’t keep their hands off each other."

"Why are you working the night shift?"

"For money. What else?"

"Your parents must be extremely greedy."

"Don’t say that; I’m not complaining. I’m happy to have many siblings."

"Having six kids when you can barely feed yourself," I murmured.

"I’ll take no offense, sir. Like I said, I like you," he grinned.

I scoffed, then turned to face him. "Do you know why I came down tonight?"

"Why?"

"I have a woman back in my room; my hands were around her neck minutes ago, and I was going to kill her. But I don’t kill women, so I left her. If she were a man, I could have killed her and feasted on her lifeless body."

"What... what?" He gasped, stepping back as his face turned pale.

"What I’m saying is, don’t like me. I’m a dangerous man. And if I snap, I might kill you too."
