The moment they entered the room, I shut my eyes tightly, breathing slowly while hoping they would leave as soon as possible.

I was sweating profusely, my breathing becoming uneven with each passing moment.
"I... She was awake earlier." Nikolai muttered and they said nothing.
I heard footsteps and after ten long seconds, I peeled my eyes open slowly.
My body went cold when I found both of them glaring at me nose flared in rage.
I began to tremble, unable to tell whether I should just plead for mercy or remain on the spot.
They said nothing, just stared at me, making the fear inside me triple.

Nikolai flashed me a sad expression as he walked out with them.
Once they were outside, I let out the breath I had been holding.
I swallowed as I sat up on the bed, I shivered with fear when the door burst open, my heart doubling its beat.
It was Nikolai and he had a drug in his hands. "The doctor forgot to add this to your prescription, make sure you take your drugs. I’ll have the maids deliver your food." He explained as I nodded.
"Thank you... So much." I whispered, my heart fluttering and he flashed me a smile before walking away.
I laid back on the bed, ignoring the food by my bed.
This was a new room, in the pack house and only the goddess knew why they wanted me in the same house with them.
Maybe to enable then torture me or to always have me on my toes.
Now I would be watched constantly, every step I took, ever word I said, every break that escaped my lips would be closely monitored by two beasts.
I inhaled softly as I shut my eyes, this was my life. I had no redemption, I had been destined to live a miserable life.
There’s no future for me, nobody was coming to rescue me.

Peeling my eyes open the next day, I jumped out of bed and after peeking pure my door softly to see if the coast was clea, I tiptoed out of the house.
I arrived at the kitchen in one peace, relief washing through me.
But something felt odd, the maids, they all watched me carefully and moved out of my way, it felt like they were avoiding me, like a plague.
Once alone with Hugo, I turned to him, knowing he wouldn’t dare lie to me.
"What’s wrong?" I locked gaze with him and he chucked.
"Everyone is terrified of you." He chucked. "Rose was banished from the pack because of you, they’re scared if they touch you, the alpha might banish them too." He replied and I gasped.
"I... I never knew they would actually do it... They didn’t banish her because of me, it was because she was trying to fight for them... they overheard her speaking to me..."
"It still doesn’t change the fact that you’re their mate and they’re possessive of you, even if they treat you like the worst thing, they would never stand and watch anyone treat you unfairly. This is just a rebellious stage where they fight with their wolves but eventually everything will be fine." He whispered and I smiled softly.
"Thank you so much, Hugo." Everything would surely be fine when I die.
Without a word, I rushed out, I trying to organize the ydvkr deftly and escape them.
"I can’t believe she has three mates when I’m yet to find one. It’s impossible... There’s no way one person can be mated to even two people. It must be a form of misunderstanding, or she must’ve done something in the shadows." A maid whispered as I walked past them.
"You better be quiet, she could report you to the alphas and have you banished from the pack just like rose, be very careful." The second girl whispered with fear.
"She can’t do anything. Do you think the alphas like her, they loathe her to death, she fast control them or even speak in their presence, she’s nothing." The maid continued and I pressed my lips together, ignoring her completely.
"Alpha Ryker is coming!" A lady whispered loudly and just as I was about to slip into the janitor’s room, he appeared at the entrance, making me go numb while the other maids scurried out of his way.
I laid flat against the door, my head bowed as my heart was about to explode from the series of emotions I felt.
"You dare try to run away from me." He whispered as he held up my chin and I shook my head vigorously, whimpering softly.
He stared at me, his thumb slowly grazing my cheek which was strange and awkward.
We remained in that position for almost a minutes, my legs had stopped trembling.
He looked down, his eyes falling on my hand and he growled as he grabbed my hand.
"Who did this to you?" He ordered, showing me the cut around my wrist from being bound.
"No... nobody..." I stammered and he glared at me.
I recoiled, trying to pull away but his grip was firm. "It... it was from when I was tied outside." I replied and a dark expression made way to his face.
He said nothing as he slowly let go of my hand, I began to breath properly as he stepped back.
"Get ointment now and make sure it is erased before the end of the week." He ordered before working away and I wanted to scream and curse at him.
I wanted to inform him that it was my body and I had every right to leave any scar I deemed fit. He could be my master and mate but they had no control over my body.
It was mine, not his.
