Hearing that the Alphas were traveling for a few days brought great joy to everyone. It was unknown how long they’d be gone but being away from them for even a day was a great opportunity.
I smiled broadly as I went about my chores, humming songs to myself. I couldn’t remember the last time I was this happy.
I was having my meal with Hugo when Myla walked in. "Get your things, you’ll be traveling with the alphas." Myla announced and all eyes turned to me.
I froze for a minute, her words replaying in my head. "Brielle..." She called me and I nodded softly, too stunned to utter a word
I was going on the trip with them? Wasn’t this a trap? This is crazy.
Without another word, I raced to my room, slamming the door softly as I paced around, shaking my head while trying to convince myself that it was all a dream.
I slapped my cheeks, punched myself and inhaled countless times, hoping I’d wake up and find myself in bed covered in sweat but nothing changed.
I was truly going on the trip with them. They were going to devour me even before we made it out of the pack.
I grabbed a little bag, stuffing in clothes absentmindedly as I wondered what I had done to deserve this.
Stepping out of my room, I bowed my head as some maids whispered to themselves, they were all talking about me, glancing at me with pity, knowing I was in grave danger.
Arriving at the car, the alphas were already leaving when I entered another car with the guards.
Considering what happened with Conner, none of the guards dared touch me, making me feel safe in the car.
We traveled for hours, for the most part of the journey, I was asleep and entering the pack house, I gasped as I looked around.
The pack was beautifully decorated with so many flowers, it was filled with life and color, the exact opposite of the shadow pack.
A small smile rested on my lips as I watched everywhere.
After the car was parked, I alighted to join the alphas who were waiting impatiently at the entrance.
The door burst open and they walked inside to a room filled with alphas while I remained behind them, my head bowed.
It wasn’t surprising to see other alphas giving way for them to pass. People were stunned to see me behind them, who wouldn’t?
I didn’t dare look up, knowing I’d have hundreds of eyes focused on me.
"Alpha Thor, it’s lovely to have you here..."
"We feel so honored to have you here..."
"Please, do not hesitate to speak if you need anything..." A few alphas offered and as expected, they said nothing, only glanced at others with contempt like they were above them.
Walking ahead, I felt a penetrative gaze on me, it was so intense, I lifted my head, unable to contain my discomfort.
My jaws parted as I locked eyes with Dylan, his eyes were tender, like he was subtly apologizing and beckoning me to come to him.
I swallowed, unable to take my eyes off him, I tried blinking, tried occupying my mind with something else but it didn’t work.

The alphas walked out of the hall, heading into a passage and they stopped at the door which had their names on it.
I pushed the door open, stepping back as they walked in. I was about to turn around when Alpha Ryker grabbed me, pulling me into the room.

"You’re happy to see him right? Are you going to sneak off to fuck him in the night? Is that why you’ve been happy about this trip?" He ordered and I shook my head.
"Answer me you bitch!" He barked.

"You’ll sleep in this room throughout your stay here, I’ll never let you out of my sight!" He replied with a devious glint in his eyes while I panted heavily, my body pressed to the wall as he walked away, his scent lingering for a moment.
I couldn’t stop my body from shaking in his absence, I was in dread as I looked around, wishing there was a way to save myself from this.
Was it too late to pray to the goddess? Would she rescue me even though she has been watching me suffer these past days? Would there be a different now?
