Chapter 590: Chapter 340: The Terror of the Holy Sanctuary, Battle of Upper-Rank Gods (Part 2)

"Is this the Lord’s?"

Marco spoke with a tremor, his eyes instinctively turning to Ivira.

Ivira nodded slightly, her gaze curiously fixed in the distance.

"Master, he won’t be in trouble, will he?"

Anna approached, her expression tinged with concern.

"Don’t worry, he’s fine!"

Ivira shook her head, her eyes still focused ahead.

Only at this moment did no one know what she was contemplating.

In the sky above, thick clouds continued to gather, growing denser and not just covering fifty meters or a hundred meters, but spreading over kilometers, extending outward in every direction.

Such enormous momentum far exceeded the range any ordinary Holy Sanctuary could encompass.

The domain of a typical Holy Sanctuary is generally limited to a kilometer, yet Thor was just beginning his breakthrough, and his domain’s spread already surpassed a kilometer, hinting at the extent it might reach once his Tree of Life emerges and he fully breaks through the Holy Sanctuary stage.

In the distance.

Ryze casually flung a black-robed figure, causing them to slam onto the ground again.

Feeling something, his gaze flickered toward Thor’s direction.

"Breakthrough, huh?"

"That was fast!"

"Wonder if the domain will spread beyond!"

He whispered softly, then shook his head, choosing not to dwell on it.

For him, it wasn’t the time to concern himself with such matters.

The information he gleaned from numerous dispatches of black-robed figures grew increasingly unsettling.

Even Ryze had to acknowledge the gravity of such news with a sense of solemnity.

The situation was more dire than he had imagined.

Across the continent, over seventy percent of the kingdoms were embroiled in the Church of Gods’ plot.

They had covertly been planning for this opportunity for a century.

All for waiting for this moment.

To Ryze’s dismay, he couldn’t discern which kingdom’s members collaborated with the Church of Gods or what their numbers might involve.

Though this was just an arrangement among some kingdoms, seemingly having little impact on the Empire.

Should they succeed, however, it would undoubtedly trigger massive turmoil, including innumerable Divine Revelations, which would stir countless domestic issues for the Empire, possibly affecting external warfare.

His thoughts swirled.

Ideas interwoven.

Ryze’s brow furrowed deeply.

Then at that very moment.

His focus steeled, eyes fixed on the distant sky.

"Come forth!"

"When did you Undead Church members start hiding like this!"

Ryze sneered coldly.

"Lord Ryze, it’s been years since we last met. I never imagined you’d have ascended to the status of an Upper-Rank God, such a surprise indeed."

A voice chuckled through the faraway void, as boundless darkness began pervading all around, transforming the clear sky into night instantaneously, blending an aura of death and ominousness. A black-robed figure gradually emerged.

As his figure revealed itself, the aura of death grew increasingly intense.

"Should I address you as the King of the Black Knights, or the God of Death, Valkyrie!"

Ryze’s brow raised, his icy voice directed at the black-robed individual.

"Lord Ryze, whichever you prefer!"

"After all, at this point you’re a revered deity yourself, aren’t you?"

The voice of laughter from the black-robed figure echoed.

"Don’t associate me with deities. We’re not the same as you lot!"

Ryze scoffed coldly.

"Seems so."

"You’re just a vile bunch of God Stealers!"

Upon hearing Ryze’s dismissive sneer, the black-robed figure chuckled lightly, a chill gleaming in his eyes.

"God Stealer!"

"Such an archaic term!"

Ryze smirked, as a formidable aura surged forth from his being.

He knew well that with his avatar’s prowess, escape was an unlikely feat.

The God of Death, Valkyrie, held formidable strength even amongst Upper-Rank Gods, rumored to surpass God of Death Thanatos himself. Without Ryze’s true form, escape was unfeasible.

Clearly, the God of Death, Valkyrie, wouldn’t allow the dissemination of information from this place.

"Boom!"

"Rumble, rumble!"

Roaring thunder filled the air as two colossal Divine Kingdoms descended.

The battle between two Upper-Rank Gods commenced in that instant.

But now, the space had been isolated, even the entire territory of the King of the Black Knights was completely sealed within the powers of the two Divine Kingdoms.

Once stepping across the border between Raymond Kingdom and Black Rider Kingdom, one would subconsciously leap forward, arriving in another realm.

This was the terror of the Upper-Rank Gods.

Separating space entirely.

Fighting, separating space completely.

Yet at this moment, no one knew of this, the detached space was beyond the recognition of any below deity level.

Thor and others were utterly oblivious.

He continued undergoing transformation.

Strands of the Power of Laws entwined upon his body; Thunder Spear’s shadow infused into the Life Seed, finally breaking its constraints, a tender shoot sprouting from the seed.

This tender shoot’s emergence marked the moment.

"Boom!"

Thor’s aura surged to a pinnacle.

Simultaneously the domain, which spanned kilometers, dramatically expanded once more.

One kilometer.

Two kilometers.

Three kilometers.

Five kilometers.

In the blink of an eye, his domain expanded to five kilometers.

And it continued, spreading further.

A massive domain expanding amidst a cacophony of booming thunder.

Countless thunder reverberated, enveloped within the domain, every being, whether human or demon beast, or any other creature, felt an impending collapse of the heavens and earth.

An unavoidable sense of despair spread.

No one knew how long it lasted.

No one knew its duration.

Thor’s eyes slowly opened, his previously shut vision emerging.

"Holy Sanctuary!"

He whispered softly, a smile tugging at his lips.

Even he hadn’t predicted his breakthrough to the Holy Sanctuary would transpire so swiftly, with just brief separation from his territory leading to this advancement.

He had estimated it would take him two or three years to reach this stage.

He needed to refine his domain and elevate his cultivation from Early-stage Sky Knight to Sky Knight Peak.

Yet, all those phases collapsed instantaneously under his recent enlightenment.

Effortlessly surpassing a gate most Sky Knights couldn’t cross within their lifetime.

A thought stirred within.

Next instant, his figure floated upward.

Halting only when amidst the air, Thor paused.

Surveying the surroundings.

His eyes then closed once more.

Then, a novel sensation permeated his consciousness.

Differing entirely from his earlier domain, now he seemingly encompassed the skies, earth, and surrounding space within his grasp.

If he wished.

He could accomplish a plethora of miraculous feats.

Seemingly recalling something.

Thor gently raised his right hand.

In the distance, a demon beast sprawling on the ground vanished instantly from its locale, reappearing before Thor.

At sight of Thor, the demon beast’s pupils dilated with fear, its body trembling fiercely.
