Chapter 310: Chapter 310 I Need Allies
Christina’s POV
The hotel conference room reeked of coffee and artificial air freshener. Gerard Haldane sat at the head of the table like he owned the place. When I walked in, he stood up with that practiced politician smile, hand extended.
"Miss Vance," he greeted me like we were old buddies. "Daniel speaks highly of your design work. I must admit, I expected someone... older. Please, sit."
I took the seat across from him, forcing a polite smile. "Thanks for meeting me."
"Anything for Daniel’s friends," Haldane said, eyes scanning me quickly. "Now, are you interested in contributing to the commissioner’s fund? We welcome support from creative talents like yourself."
Great. He thought I was here with my checkbook open.
"Actually," I folded my hands on the table, "I’m here about the proposed moratorium."
His smile vanished faster than free food at a pack gathering. He leaned back, fingers drumming on the table. "I see. Then this meeting is pointless. I don’t take meetings with property developers. Or their girlfriends."
That last word dripped with contempt.
"I’m not here as anyone’s girlfriend," I said firmly. "I’m here because I have something you should see."
I slid the envelope across the table. He didn’t touch it.
"You’re wasting your time," he said flatly. "This discussion is over."
Fine. I opened it myself and spread the contents before him. Bank statements, land records, shell companies, photos of a woman entering his apartment late at night. His fingers stopped their tapping.
"What is this?" he demanded.
"Your secret life," I said quietly. "The same information Lea Lopez is using to control you. Am I right?"
His face turned ashen. For a moment, he couldn’t speak. Then he leaned forward, voice barely above a growl. "Where did you get this?" fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
"That’s not important. What matters is that if you continue with the moratorium, this all goes public. Your career, reputation, family—gone. Unless you withdraw it."
He pushed back in his chair, breathing hard. Sweat beaded at his temples. "You have no idea what you’re messing with. Lea has more power than you can imagine. She’ll destroy you."
"Lea won’t be a problem much longer," I said, sounding braver than I felt.
He laughed without humor. "You think you can stop her?"
"I know I can. I’ve already started."
Akira stirred within me. "He’s scared," she observed. "Use it."
Haldane searched my face, his political mask slipping to reveal an exhausted, cornered man.
"If I back down, she’ll come after me," he said.
"If you don’t, I will."
Silence stretched between us. His eyes darted to the evidence on the table. His hands trembled slightly.
Finally, he whispered, "What do you want me to do?"
"Step down. Health issues, family time, whatever excuse works. Quietly withdraw the moratorium. Cooperate, and no one needs to know why."
He stared at me, then exhaled slowly, defeat evident in every line of his body. "If you fail to stop her, she’ll bury us both."
"I don’t plan on failing."

That night, adrenaline still buzzing through my veins, I sat in Dominic Everett’s office. The Beta of the Sabreridge pack listened to my entire story, his usual calm demeanor finally cracking.
"You’re playing with fire, Luna Christina," he said.
"Fire doesn’t scare me anymore," I replied. "I need allies. You once mentioned Hudson had friends in Europe. People who worked with him. Do you still have their contact information?"
Dominic hesitated before unlocking his phone. He scrolled through his contacts and slid it across to me. "Kylian Martin. Olivier Rossi. Close to Hudson once. They know Lea well."
"Perfect."
The next morning, I initiated a video call with them. Kylian appeared first—lean, sharp-eyed, his French accent wrapping around every word. Olivier joined seconds later—broader, darker, his expression cautious.
"You’re Hudson’s... friend?" Olivier asked carefully.
"I’m his Luna," I corrected firmly. "And I need your help." fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
Kylian leaned toward the camera. "We heard about Lea’s latest moves. We don’t agree with her methods. Hudson was our Alpha and friend for years. But Lea’s been our ally too. Why should we get involved?"
"Because she’s completely out of control," I said quickly. "She’s trying to strangle Laurent Global Holdings through this moratorium. She’s threatening city officials. All to force Hudson back to her. If you’re truly Hudson’s friends, you’d help him instead of watching him suffer."
"Hudson and I are fated mates," I added, my voice strengthening. "A true bond. Something Lea can’t accept. She’d rather destroy him than see him happy with someone else."
The men exchanged glances.
Olivier sighed. "Even if this is true, why risk Lea’s wrath?"
"Because she’ll eventually come for you too," I said. "She feeds on power. Hudson trusted her once, and she betrayed him. How long before she turns on you?"
Silence. Then Kylian gave a slow nod. "If what you say is true, maybe it’s time she remembers she doesn’t hold all the cards."
"What do you need us to do?" Olivier asked.
I leaned forward, smiling slightly. "Let me tell you exactly what I have in mind."
