Chapter 131: Teasing Lyria...too much
Lyria, who had almost fully recovered her composure, followed his gaze and nodded. "Yes, it is. And no one is there at the moment."
The amusement faded from Noah’s face.
Slowly, something else replaced it. His expression grew quieter. Heavier. His blue eyes lowered slightly, the way they did when something was pressing down on him from the inside.
"That’s actually... why I came here today," he said, his voice lower now. "I wanted to use it. To confess some things that have been weighing on me for a while. Things I’ve done that I can’t quite put down."
Lyria’s gaze shifted to him.
The playfulness from before had completely disappeared from his face. What remained was something honest and a little tired, like a person who had been carrying something quietly for too long.
Her chest tightened without her meaning for it to.
She was a kind person by nature. She couldn’t help it.
"Hey." Her voice came out soft. "I did mention I come here every morning, didn’t I? I know the priest and the sisters here quite well." She glanced toward the confession room, then back at him with a gentle expression. "Go ahead and take a seat inside. I’ll find someone for you right away so you can confess what’s been weighing on you."
Noah looked at her with eyes that lit up slightly. "Oh, thank you, Lyria. You are so kind—"
Lyria immediately cut him off with an embarrassed expression. "Hey, stop talking and just go there."
"O-okay." Noah decided to stop complimenting her and walked toward the confession room before entering the side where people would confess their sins.
Noah sat comfortably on the wooden chair inside. It was a small place. On the other wall, there was a small rectangular window with many tiny holes through which the other person’s voice would come and speak to him.
For now, Noah sat calmly without any sad expression. Rather, he focused on remembering the story of Hero Sirus.
’The story was more like those clichés where the hero, together with his party including the Saintess, fights the Demon Lord and saves humanity. But here the enemy was not demons. At that time, all races were together, including demons, to fight against those beings. They were called Evil Lords that were born from darkness residing in hell.’
But Noah was thinking about it in another way.
He remembered the game’s prologue. The world was meant to fall into chaos in the future. A war between the Eternal Gods and the Eternal Monarchs. He wondered if there was a possibility that those Evil Lords were either Eternal Monarchs or perhaps their underlings.
While he was thinking about it, a feminine voice came from the other side.
"Hello, Sir. Sorry for the wait."
Noah was pulled out of his thoughts and sat up properly.
"It’s okay. I hope we can start this faster."
"Yes." The woman spoke gently. "As I heard from the girl outside, you were really sad and looking guilty for something. As if you had done something wrong. So feel free to confess it here. Before the Lord, everyone is equal, and he forgives everyone who truly wants to repent for his wrongdoings."
’Damn... she really thinks I can’t recognize her voice. Hehe~ Though she is really trying her best to talk in another voice.’
Noah perfectly understood who was on the other side. It was none other than Lyria.
He had actually considered the possibility that she would personally come here.
Though he wasn’t sure. If someone else had come, he would have just said some random things and run away.
But now that it was Lyria, he could have his fun.
After the awful night inside the dungeon which he had spent with a guy, he really wanted to have this kind of fun.
Noah lowered his voice slightly, acting troubled. "Actually... I’ve been having some really terrible thoughts about someone," he began, his tone heavy with feigned shame. "No matter how hard I try to stop, every time I see her... these awful, shameless thoughts keep coming back. I feel so guilty..."
The woman on the other side paused for a moment before asking carefully, "What kind of thoughts do you mean? Toward whom do you think that way?"
"It’s my friend..." Noah said in a conflicted tone. "She... she is really kind and gentle toward me... but my dirty mind can’t help but think badly about her." ƒrēewebnovel.com
The woman on the other side remained silent for a moment.
Then she spoke hesitantly, "W-what kind of thoughts?"
Noah let out a long embarrassed breath. "How can I say this... it’s so shameful..." His voice grew heavier, as if he was struggling to continue. "She is really beautiful... her long blonde hair, either loose or tied in a single braid, looks unimaginably beautiful... her pink eyes are so gentle and kind... yet each time I see her... I-I..."
"W-what?" The voice on the other side sounded slightly flustered now. "What thoughts come to your mind?"
Noah continued speaking rapidly, as if his shame was spilling out uncontrollably.
"I want to hug her... she is so adorable that I want to kiss her face all over. I want to cuddle with her, sometimes I want to spoil her to rotten. Her chest... it’s so sinful... each time I see them I want to bury my face between her breasts and rub my face against them. I want her to spoil me as well. The way she laughs and acts makes me want to do naughty things with her. Every time I see her talking with another guy, it makes me uncomfortable, as if I should just pull her away from other men and keep her in my arms all da—"
"OKAY!! THAT’S ENOUGH!!"
Her loud voice came from the other side.
Noah had been speaking extremely quickly, after all which didn’t gave her time to stop him.
’Hehe~’

On the other side, Lyria was breathing heavily, her cheeks burning hotter than the temple’s ceremonial candles. Her heart hammered wildly against her ribs. ’This idiot...! In the middle of the temple, of all places!’
