Chapter 1033: Chapter 404: Wolfpack Squad
"Careful! Everyone be silent!"
The second squad, advancing rapidly, immediately took cover at Leng Bing’s signal, each choosing a suitable hiding spot.
No wonder they were the elite of the elite chosen from the military forces; even though they were girls, there was no hesitance, and it was hard to find where they were hiding even on close inspection.
After hiding, everyone stared intently in the direction they were advancing but didn’t notice anything amiss. In fact, Leng Bing hadn’t seen anything unusual either, but his body sensed a hint of danger.
Zhang Beixing had discussed this with Leng Bing before, noting that as a Great Grandmaster, his perception of the surroundings far surpassed the speed of the five senses, so the moment Leng Bing sensed something wrong, he immediately gave the order.
"It’s coming!"
Sure enough, moments later, a burly man appeared before them. His presence immediately caused the female members of the second squad to blush instinctively.
The man was completely naked, but his muscular build was indeed enticing, with smooth lines that exceeded human standards.
This occurrence was understandable, considering the man was no longer a "human" in the traditional sense. He was a completely gene-modified warrior developed by the mad scientist — a Werewolf!
The Werewolf stopped under a giant tree, where two squad members were hiding in the canopy.
"This guy!"
Leng Bing’s attention remained focused on the man.
"I feel like I’m facing something other than a human!"
Apart from facing Zhang Beixing, Leng Bing had never felt this way before.
Cold sweat trickled down Leng Bing’s cheeks. The next moment, the Werewolf suddenly leaped towards the canopy.
"Not good!"
Leng Bing moved immediately, but he found that, as a Great Grandmaster, his speed was surprisingly slower than the man before him!
The Werewolf charged into the canopy, followed by two cries of pain. Before Leng Bing could reach the canopy, silhouettes flew out from it.
Instinctively, Leng Bing caught the falling figures, the smell of blood hitting his nose. One of his teammates had a deep wound on their arm, exposing the bone.
"How dare you!"
Seeing his teammate wounded like this, a fierce aura erupted from Leng Bing.
He placed the teammate beside a tree, noting the severe injury to their abdomen as well.
"I’ll kill you!"
Leng Bing roared in anger, charging directly at the opponent.
His swinging fist felt like it weighed a thousand pounds, crashing straight at the man’s body.
But in the next second, the man blocked Leng Bing’s fist with one hand, standing motionless. Clearly, in terms of power, Leng Bing, the Great Grandmaster, lost to the man before him.
"Who are you?"
Leng Bing’s face was serious, his eyes fixed on the man.
The man didn’t answer but let out a howl-like sound, the next second throwing a punch back at Leng Bing.
Leng Bing quickly shifted to the side in an attempt to dodge, with the man’s fist landing on the ground, creating a small pit.
No joke, this wasn’t a novel where a casual punch can destroy a mountain, but this was solid ground!
Creating a small pit alone was no simple feat, let alone cracking the surface.
"Captain, be careful!"
The other squad members stood on the side without making rash moves. Standing ahead, Su Yan assumed a combat stance, ready to strike at any moment!
"We should go help!"
Seeing Leng Bing being suppressed, Qianqian looked anxious. She subconsciously stepped forward, but her friend stopped her.
"Don’t stop me!"
"Are you crazy!"
Sun Xue slapped Qianqian across the face, scolding her irritably.
"You think you’re the only one worried about the Captain? You think we’re not worried? But do you realize what kind of strength the Captain has?"
Sun Xue’s slap shocked Qianqian, and she replied instinctively, her eyes glazed over.
"Great... Great Grandmaster..."
"You know he’s a Great Grandmaster. If even the Captain finds it challenging to handle him, us going up there would just be a burden!"
Sun Xue’s reprimand snapped Qianqian back to reality. Right, as Class A Martial Artists, even if they rushed in, it would be meaningless, and could potentially distract Leng Bing.
"But... but..."
Qianqian’s gaze remained fixated on Leng Bing, her face full of concern, clearly more than the other squad members.
The worried group didn’t notice a figure watching them from a short distance away.
"Could he be part of the organization?"
"Has the DE Organization developed new gene warriors?"
"How is this different from the original Werewolf?"
...
In the skirmish with the opponent, Leng Bing had deduced that the man was indeed a Werewolf.
However, Leng Bing had fought Werewolves before, and though the fight was challenging back then, it was never against a Great Grandmaster.
Now, becoming a Great Grandmaster, Leng Bing thought he could easily defeat a Werewolf. But evidently, the Werewolf before him wasn’t an easy opponent.
"Damn it!"
Leng Bing’s brief contemplation made him momentarily distracted, which the Werewolf, sensitive as ever, picked up on, seizing the gap to charge at Leng Bing.
By this time, it was too late to dodge, so Leng Bing could only cross his arms to block the Werewolf’s attack. But at the moment of impact, intense pain surged through his arms.
