Chapter 425: Lord of the Flies Beelzebub [4]
Belzebuth reappeared on Klein’s left in a brutal shift. Without a word, he struck with all his strength. His fist, loaded with dense demonic energy, slammed into Klein’s shoulder before the latter could raise his katana. The blow sent Klein flying several meters. He rolled across the ground before getting back up, his arm numb with pain.
The demon did not stop. He advanced straight toward Nox this time. His movements were heavy, direct, without finesse. He used only his brute force and the black energy surrounding his body. The flies had all disappeared inside his flesh to seal the cracks. His torso, arms, and legs seemed more solid for a moment, but every step already made his skin crack.
Nox tried to retreat and form an energy sphere. Belzebuth was faster. He swept the air with a backhand of his arm. The wave of demonic energy struck Nox squarely in the chest and hurled him against a pillar. Nox spat blood and tried to get up. Belzebuth was already on him. He chained together blows. Each strike made the ground tremble. Nox blocked as best he could with his forearms wrapped in lightning, but the pure power made him retreat again and again.
"He has become stronger!" Nox shouted between two impacts.
Klein charged back from the side. He activated his Dash and targeted the demon’s flank. His blade touched the skin, but Belzebuth barely turned his head. With a backward elbow strike, he repelled Klein with terrifying force. Klein slid several meters before planting his katana in the ground to stop himself.
Belzebuth continued without caring about the cracking sounds echoing in his own body. He struck again and again. His fists wrapped in black energy fell like hammers.
The cracks that already covered his body widened with each violent movement. Long fissures ran across his arms and torso. Black blood flowed abundantly, but Belzebuth did not slow down. He used a large amount of demonic energy to compensate. This brute power came out of him in continuous waves and crushed everything in its path.
Klein and Nox struggled to react. They tried to land blows, but the demon pushed them back every time. Nox launched a discharge of red lightning that Belzebuth crossed without difficulty. He grabbed Nox by the coat and threw him violently against the wall. Klein took advantage of the moment to strike the demon in the back. His blade sank in a little, but Belzebuth turned around and delivered a direct punch to his face.
"You are nothing," Belzebuth growled in a hoarse and deep voice.
His body cracked louder and louder. Pieces of black flesh fell to the ground. Yet he continued. He concentrated all his energy into his two fists and struck the ground between Klein and Nox. An explosion of demonic energy burst forth and hurled them both backward. Klein hit a broken pillar. Nox rolled several meters and got up with difficulty, short of breath.
The two companions exchanged a quick glance. They were breathing hard. Blood flowed on their faces and their clothes were torn. Belzebuth kept advancing. His legs left black traces on the ground. The fissures now extended to his neck and forehead. His skin was peeling off in places, revealing the corrupted flesh underneath.
"We won’t hold out like this," said Klein while gripping his katana.
"He is destroying himself with this power," replied Nox while wiping the blood from his mouth. "We wait for the right moment."
Belzebuth let out a roar. He charged again. This time, he used a massive amount of demonic energy. His entire body was surrounded by a thick black aura. He struck Klein with a series of rapid blows. Each impact made the air vibrate. Klein blocked several times, but his arms grew heavy. A final strike lifted him off the ground and sent him against the far wall. He slid to the ground, blood on his lips.
Nox tried to help him. He gathered his lightning and launched a direct attack. Belzebuth took the hit without retreating. The red energy disappeared into the black aura. The demon responded with a kick that hit Nox in the side. The sound of cracking ribs echoed. Nox fell to his knees, one hand on his flank.
Belzebuth’s body was beginning to disintegrate. Entire parts of his flesh fell in smoking pieces. The fissures were so deep that the inside of his torso was visible. Yet he remained standing. He raised both arms to deliver one last massive assault.
This was the moment Klein and Nox had been waiting for. Despite the pain, they got up at the same time. Klein activated his Dash one last time and circled the demon from the right. Nox gathered all his remaining energy into his two hands. The lightning became white with intensity.
They attacked together. Klein jumped high and brought his katana down diagonally with all his strength. The blade released a cut of pure aura that sliced through Belzebuth’s already cracked shoulder. At the same instant, Nox launched his energy sphere at point-blank range. The Blood Singularity struck the demon squarely in the chest.
The combined attack hit home. The explosion was violent. Klein’s blade and Nox’s sphere struck Belzebuth head-on. The demon’s body shook violently. New enormous fissures appeared everywhere. His torso opened further. Pieces of black flesh flew in all directions.
Belzebuth staggered. His body was disintegrating rapidly now. Black veins pulsed one last time before breaking. His skin cracked like dry earth under a burning sun. He brought a trembling hand to his open chest.
As his body fell apart, he turned his head toward Klein and Nox. His gaze was filled with pure hatred. His red eyes still shone with deep rage, even as life left him. He opened his mouth as if to speak, but only a hoarse growl came out. His right arm detached and fell to the ground with a wet sound. fгeewebnovёl.com
Klein and Nox remained in combat position, out of breath. They watched Belzebuth who was still struggling to stay on his feet. Dry cracking sounds continued to ring out. The black blood formed a large pool around him. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
"It’s over," murmured Klein while catching his breath.
Nox nodded without taking his eyes off Belzebuth. The demon remained dangerous until the end.
Belzebuth took one hesitant step forward. His left knee gave way. He fell to one knee. His gaze of hatred did not release them. Even in disintegration, he seemed to want to take them with him. The demonic energy around him weakened little by little, but the fury in his eyes remained intact.
Belzebuth raised his remaining arm one last time. Remnants of black energy swirled around him. His gaze filled with hatred settled on them one final time. Then his body began to collapse for good.
