Chapter 416: Chapter 196: Spear Intent Manifests, Nine Deaths and One Life
Although the Minor Yuan Technique was no match for the Zhenyuan Technique, it was still an Inner Power Heart Method passed down through Guo Wei’s school. With Hei Hu’s aptitude and Guo Wei’s guidance, he could have reached the realm of Qi Sea Perfection within a few years.
Unfortunately, Wine Street was filled with too many legends of "Master Hu."
Everyone wanted to see how terrifying his physical defense would be after he activated his Dharma Aspect. The constant calls of "Master Hu" made Hei Hu gradually lose his way, finally earning him today’s vicious scolding and a sound whipping.
"Dad, if you keep hitting him, Hei Hu really won’t be able to participate in the Martial Arts Examination."
At a time like this, only Guo Fang dared to plead for Hei Hu.
"He was showing off on Wine Street, wasn’t he? Didn’t he want everyone to see his tough hide, how normal blades and swords couldn’t hurt him? So why can’t he take a few lashes? If people found out, how could he keep calling himself a ’Master’?"
Guo Wei was seething with righteous indignation.
"Master, that’s just a nickname other people gave me. I really know I was wrong."
Tears and snot streamed down Hei Hu’s face.
"If you weren’t so desperate to make a name for yourself, would a bunch of outsiders have run to Wine Street to be your lackeys?"
Guo Wei was furious. Last night, he had gone to Wine Street for a drink. He had just sat down when a group of outsiders came in and actually told him to go drink somewhere else. When he asked why, he learned that "Master Hu" was holding a private gathering in the tavern, and all riffraff had to get lost.
In all his years of running a Martial Arts Hall, it was the first time he’d ever gone out for a drink only to be kicked out of a tavern by his own apprentice’s underlings.
He was so angry last night that he wanted to tear Hei Hu limb from limb. However, for the sake of Hei Hu’s reputation, he could only swallow his anger. He grabbed his wine jug and a handful of peanuts and left. The more he thought about it on the way back, the angrier he became. He fought the urge several times to run back and rip Hei Hu to shreds right in front of that group of outsiders.
"Master, I’ll disband them right away! Please, forgive me! I know I was wrong. I’ll never dare to make you angry again."
Hei Hu wailed, begging for mercy without pause.
"Master, please spare Senior Brother,"
Chu Lingguang pleaded.
"If his personality was a bit more like yours, maybe I’d live a few years longer."
Guo Wei said, tossing the whip to the ground.
He had flown into a rage today not just because he was still fuming from last night. He also wanted to teach Hei Hu a lesson, to get him to stay away from his gang of worthless friends and focus on his training. That way, he might pass the Martial Examination and become a Martial Arts Scholar sooner.
"Master, I’ll change. I’ll definitely change."
Hei Hu glanced back at his raw, bleeding backside, and tears streamed down his face.
Guo Wei couldn’t be bothered to say more and just waved a hand at Chu Lingguang. Chu Lingguang understood what he meant; he wanted him to apply medicine to Hei Hu’s wounds. He helped Hei Hu into a room and pulled down his pants.
Guo Wei had not held back. Hei Hu had tried to use his Dharma Aspect to block the pain, but he still couldn’t resist the penetrating power from Guo Wei. His skin was truly split open and his flesh was gaping. His once-fair buttocks were now a ghastly sight to behold.
"Senior Brother, try to bear with it."
Chu Lingguang sprinkled a bottle of Golden Wound Medicine powder onto Hei Hu’s buttocks. The powder’s sting caused a fiery pain, making Hei Hu grimace and involuntarily clench his bloody buttocks.
Not knowing whether to laugh or cry, Chu Lingguang found a piece of gauze and carefully covered the wounds. He said, "Senior Brother, you should stop fooling around with those people. Master only took such drastic measures for your own good."
"I know. It was all those sons of bitches. They were the ones clamoring for me to hold a private party, and they even picked the tavern Master always goes to! They treated Master like some random nobody and kicked him out, otherwise I wouldn’t have..." frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
"Seriously?"
Completely taken by surprise, Chu Lingguang couldn’t stop himself from slapping Hei Hu on the butt.
"AARGH..."
Hei Hu shot three feet into the air.
For the next few days, Hei Hu was confined by Guo Wei. The group of hoodlums from out of town were chased away by Chu Lingguang, and the legends of "Master Hu" gradually faded.
HUUFF!
「In the mountains behind Liu Family Gully.」
Chu Lingguang was refining his Spear Intent.
With his powerful Perception Power spread out, he slowly condensed the terrifying wave of power, constantly shrinking its range.
CREAK!
Just then, a dry pine tree came crashing down toward Chu Lingguang. He pointed his Long Spear, and his Spear Intent permeated the air. The terrifying wave, like countless shards forming two hands, invisibly caught the falling tree.

But in the end, the pine tree was still shattered into dust.
It was torn apart by that terrifying wave.
’If I can successfully control this power, I won’t just be able to attack with my Spear Intent, I’ll be able to defend with it too.’
Through his perception, Chu Lingguang saw that the Spear Intent was comprised of countless blood-red shards. A blood-colored halo of power seeped from his Sea of Consciousness and attached to his Flesh and Blood Divine Abilities, forming these shards. In the end, they resonated with his Spear Technique and were unleashed through its movements.
After several days of refinement, while Chu Lingguang still couldn’t completely control the terrifying wave of power, he was slowly learning to reverse its form.
HUUFF!
He thrust his Long Spear forward.
He once again released the Spear Intent Fluctuation. A terrifying wave of power erupted from the spear’s tip, and under his control, it began to show signs of forming a halo of light.
In the middle of a fight, when his Qi Sea Power and Primitive Power were depleted, this Spear Intent Fluctuation could serve as both an effective attack and a defensive force.
Chu Lingguang wanted to be able to use this Spear Intent Fluctuation at critical moments. He wanted it to catch opponents off guard and easily shatter their defenses, while also being capable of blocking their attacks completely.
He tried to execute the Thrust from the Flying Leaf Lotus Spear.
His Spear Technique was at the Perfection level.
He could already use the Thrust to create a three-foot defensive space. This was possible because the power covering the Thrust enveloped the area, and also because Chu Lingguang’s Spear Technique had reached an incredible speed.
