Outside the Shierli Pavilion Cafe, Tian Tian glanced at the recording device in her bag, decisively turned it on, then got out of the car with her bag.
"Don’t worry, madam, I’ll be right there!"
Tian Tian smiled at Zhang Ze, nodded, and turned to walk through the cafe’s front door.
On the third floor, in the private room, Mu Haiyun was sitting by the window, watching Tian Tian get out of the car, with a venomous look in her beautiful eyes.
When Tian Tian arrived at the private room, Mu Haiyun was elegantly sipping her coffee.
Seeing Tian Tian come in, she only glanced up, then continued drinking her coffee as if Tian Tian’s arrival was no surprise at all.
They had already completely severed ties; Mu Haiyun’s attitude seemed perfectly normal to Tian Tian.
"Tian Tian, I honestly didn’t expect you would actually dare to come!"
Tian Tian sneered, walked to the seat opposite Mu Haiyun, sat down, and ordered a watermelon juice after the waiter came in, before leisurely speaking.
"Why wouldn’t I dare to come? After all, I’m not the one with a guilty conscience!"
"Those who’ve done wrong can now roam around without a care; why can’t I, a decent young person, do the same!"
Mu Haiyun listened, her face icy cold.
"Tian Tian, what do you mean by that? Are you being sarcastic?"
Tian Tian continued to sneer, her cold grape-shaped eyes staring at Mu Haiyun, who smiled elegantly across the table.
"I’m just speaking plainly; what you see is what you get. You think I’m being sarcastic? If so, then so be it!"
Mu Haiyun curled her lips, a faintly mocking smile on her exquisitely made-up face.
"Such a long time without seeing you, Tian Tian, and you’re still so eloquent!"
Tian Tian countered without the slightest timidity: "It’s been a long time, yet Mu Haiyun, you’re still as hypocritical and shameless as ever!"
There was a flicker of coldness in Mu Haiyun’s eyes. She pursed her lips, maintaining her elegant smile, seemingly unbothered by Tian Tian’s words.
"Tian Tian, there’s nobody here but us. In public, you dare not admit pushing Old Madam Shen on purpose. Now face to face with me, you can confess!"
Tian Tian scoffed, looking at Mu Haiyun with an expression one might reserve for a fool.
"Mu Haiyun, did you take a bath last night and water got into your brain, or did you get your head stuck in the door on your way out this morning?"
"Or maybe you called me here today because you have a guilty conscience and needed someone to vent to, so you dialed my number?"
Mu Haiyun’s hand holding the coffee cup tightened slightly, but her expression remained unchanged, still elegant and dignified, maintaining that superior posture.
"Tian Tian, if it weren’t for the fact that we share the Mu surname and both have the same father, I wouldn’t have called you alone today, asking you to confess!"
"My grandmother is gone now. If it weren’t for deliberate malice, even with the issue concerning my third cousin, there wouldn’t have been any cause for her devastation that led to her passing!"
Hearing Mu Haiyun’s words, Tian Tian seemed to hear a monumental joke!
"Miss Mu, I heard that your grandmother had only your mother, Shen Xin, as a daughter, while the rest were sons. She loved your mother dearly from childhood. And because you were her only niece among the grandchildren, she adored you even more than she did your mother, Shen Xin, back in the day!"
"Such a doting grandmother is now gone. As someone spoiled by her love all your life, you’re not by the altar keeping vigil in mourning for her, but here spouting nonsense to me. The years of care and love she poured into you might as well have been fed to the dogs!"
